Sannin are the strongest ninja in a village, they are considered prodigies and are known as wandering ninja. You can be any rank when you leave but only Sannin are allowed to pass from village to village with out question or purpose.

Could you explain why at a certain rank people have two element affinities? Well almost all genin and chunin have one element, once you hit jounin level you are allowed two more. You mean those type of jutsu to learn right?
My understanding was that you gain an extra element affinity, which is completely different. D: are you talking about if you had wind and water and wanted ice? No that's a kekkei genkai.
When you say Jounin get two more elements what do you mean by that?

Akari:You can leave when ever you like, Shade left at Chuunin, its just what rank you leave at determines how long you will live and what you must do afterwards. If you leave at any rank below Sannin you would have to undergo massive S rank training after wards or just stay that rank and never advance.

To obtain S rank you have to train for 50 to 60 posts very literately training control and chakra pool.......
