No, what you see as an excuse I see as the typical n00b tactic. My god this, my character is destined for that, they're all copouts to avoid the flow of freeform. When you roll like that you're just as pathetic as those people who say their characters can't be attacked because they haven't consented to combat in Commerce. It's amusing that you consider that a legitimate roleplay tactic for even a second. Or you can stop talking about a subject or plot you know nothing about.
