Correct me if I'm wrong, but I gathered from the new marine codex that hardly anyone save for assault terminators can use a pair of lightning claws these days. Does this mean that my captain Sicarius model with lightning claws from the Medusa campaign is now obsolete? cry

I'm pretty sure most entries that have lightning claws will let you take them in pairs. The Assault Marine entry actually has "pair of lightning claws" on the list.

Typically special units (IE- Shrike) and assault terminators have the option for a pair of lightning claws. Assault Squads Sergeants, however, have the option for equipping a single or pair of lightning claws. Oddly enough the Veteran Vanguard Squadron Sergeant can only equip a single while his lesser counterpart can equip a pair. Likely for balance issues.
Also, I have a Raven Guard army. I have 5 Lightning Claw Terminators and am wondering - should I add a Librarian with Jump Pack to fit the motif or give him terminator armor to move the other terminators around with 24" deepstrike gate of infinity?

My Space Marine: Yes I know most of it is black, but some parts are high lighted in a gray colour.

besides keeping him in the back of the board to contest a home objective, and his special rules. i see no further use for pedro kantor. He goes last in combat( everyone uses their power fist or power weapon on him since he's an IC), and take a scout save to AP:3 weaponry (which everone seems to do. Now to set the record straight i love the model design and i don't mind throwing him into the frey, but as stated above ... he dose not last long in a fist or gun fight cause everone hates his guts for some reason.

I'm pretty sure you can take a vangaurd veteran with a pair of lightning claws just take the upgrade twice.I'm supported in my thinking by the third space marine from the left on the bottom row on page 114 of the codex:a vangaurd veteran with lightning claws. It was probably just a misprint.

To me, as I have mentioned before, Plasma are more useful in my army then those damn meltaguns. Sure I might kill my own marines by overheating it, but hey, atleast I HIT something. If I wanna blow up a tank, I use a lascannon or missile launchers.
I bought 2 drop-pods aswell (I gotta get those pics of my army done. D: ), had a slight trouble of putting it together since I glued the top+pillars and bottom+doors as separate units. My advice: DON`T DO IT! You´ll end up sweating alot for getting them together. sweatdrop
I did have my share of trying with the Vanguard Veterans (with friends permission of course, used an army setup with all except DW, RW and special characters from the new marine codex and swap the "decide to fail moral tests" to "stubborn" (Dark Angel´s, D`OH? ).(Yes, I play DA´s, THEY RULE!! :p ) ) They worked pretty okay, except the fluffs about Marines being experts on Assault tactics; doesn´t seem to work on my part. :-/
I do enjoy the more fluff background for the marines, didn´t really knew that the marines service-line goes from the scout to dev to assault to tac and beoynd. I always assumed it was scout to what ever your specialised or which has higher need.
I´ve had my fair of funny moments aswell (not like fire-link´s moment, EPIC. biggrin ), Master Belial and my freshly scrath build deathwing terminators with thunder hammers we´re in reserve to deepstrike but they never showed up. Then they decide to show up when I´ve lost all my troops and my oppoments still had a handful of chaos marines and oblirators left. =.=" Quess they we´re shy since I didn´t had time to paint them. ^^"
