redhed_shopaholic AKILLA You know what? Every day I get a new member to this guild which I am proud of. It may just be one but it's a lot better than none and sometimes I get more than one. we will have alot of members by y birthday then! hmm.. we should have a birthday tracking thread. and pm people on their birthday! Yeah I've been thinking about doing that but I've been too lazy.

Meh.. I'm sorta sick right now. Got the sorta runny nose, the stuffed up throat, the sneezing.. the works.
And I'm also pissed off because my splash cymbal fell and a part of it has broken off of it, damnit! That cymbal was at least 60 or 80 dollars which is pretty nice for a cymbal from Ziligian.

Dagger_star I still need a lot of more items for my quest. Feel free and call me Steph! whee! Can you have any amount of parts you want? And what should i buy first i might buy the sticks and then work my way up or go from most expensive to least. Why go most expensive? your a beginner drummer, beginner drummers don't have to shell out $500.00 for a kit. I mean I would becuase I've been playing since I was 10 or 9 so about 6 or 7 years while IndefiniteMatter has been drumming since 4 and he's 21 now, and so he's been drumming for what? 17 years.. he has a nice drumset though.. but anyways.. Drumsticks are usually $5.00 to $20.00 or more. I say you should get a Vic Firth 5A drumstick for $5.00 and let me tell you something even though $5.00 is really cheap to you, Vic Firth makes the BEST drum sticks ever. I still play with my 5A nylon tip sticks and they've lasted for at least three or four years, and they're definitely good if you are a beginner. And Ziljian makes good sticks, naah not really. I don't prefer their drumsticks because I've used them and they've broken waaaay more easily than Vic Firths. ProMark makes good sticks as well not as good as Vic Firths but they make good ones. So I pretty much recomend, VIC FIRTH 5A DRUMSTICKS, they're great for beginners. And when you buy drumsticks test them out first and don't rely on Signature Drumsticks such as the Travis Barker drumsticks because you should only get drumsticks for YOURSELF not because some drummer has their own signature drumsticks.

You broke your cymbal................... eek well not broke but it fell?? wow. That must suck, Ace, and what were you doing? next time if tighten the stand..
Ace pretty much covered it all; get a pair of sticks that work out for you, heck I dont have any signature sticks because there really is no difference and it's just a waste of money. I'm doing fine with my with my drumsticks, I own at least 3 pairs of Vic Firth 5A sticks.. they've been working good for me. But my best pair of sticks are not made out of wood, they're made out of Aluminum and their from Ahead a company that makes good sticks as well, the sticks were about $30.00 and no I wouldnt recomend you buying them since your just starting out.
The whole thing with cymbals is that I own five different Splash Cymbals, two for my drumset and the other three for my other one. And then I own three Ride Cymbals as well.. theyre good. But the most expensive kind of cymbal are the China Cymbals, they're also known as China Boy cymbals. They're very expensive and I only have one, I got a good deal on it though.. I got one for $130.00 then some of them are only $80.00 but most of them are in their 100's. My advice is that you shouldn't go out and buy a new set, get a used one, used ones work great they may not be the best as new ones but they work out fine. And after you learn more and more about drumming, maybe your 3rd year or 4th? you could go and buy a more expensive one such as the $500.00 ones. Then when you get your used one, you could get a new snare or something.. build up.
Don't buy a full 5-peice drumset though it's only $500.00. I've never done that at all, what I've done is that buy a snare, then a few months later I sell one of my used cymbals and get new ones.. get what I mean? but good luck
You could also try CB drumsets, they're only $200.00 though they're good for like 4 year old, my son has been pretty obessed with his.. and he almost broke my snare which would of sucked.
