I believe I have seen about 1/2 of the Woodstock movie, myself. Some good music and interesting time Id imagine. 3nodding
Yup, I agree I do like a lot of what they were about other than the not bathing part, I like Baths/Shower. lol
Think they (Hendrix & Joplin) performed seperately Hendrix's performance being a big one because he did "HIS" version of the American Anthem which is very trippy and sonuds like a war going on in the backround from how he played it.

Hehe what a good description of the Hendrix version of "The Star Spangled Banner." I just listened to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BD9DR40-m4U I think about how things were in 1969. Viet Nam. Draft. LSD and marijuana. It makes total sense that he would play the National Anthem with screams and howls. You and the movie have me checking out Woodstock music. I found this little clip of Janis Joplin talking to the crowd very sweetly, then rocking it. "Feel good yeah." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vThD7ot9oII

Yeah, I can listen to Hendrix's National Anthem but only if I am in the mood. If I am not into it I cant hardly get past some of the mostly louder parts in the song on the National Anthem, but for the most part I like his music. and Janis's as well.
If you like Janis Joplin check out an artist called Joss Stone she sounds a fair amount like Janis Joplin and even sings in the same kind of way to a degree.
She always seemed to me to be layed back (Janis Joplin) and what shows I have ever seen about her she seems to be always happy to talk to people.

Thanks, I checked out some Joss Stone. There's definitely reason to see and hear a resemblance to Janis. She's a little smoother. One of the videos I watched showed her walking among the audience being friendly.
I had my hand on the mute button when I listened to Hendrix do the National Anthem. Most of his music is a lot more listener friendly. Like Purple Haze.

Yeah, "His" version of the National Anthem would be perfect if you were "lol on something" .
Yeah, the rest of his music is fairly user friendly indeed. 3nodding

Do you ever flip on the tv on Sunday morning? Right now (8:30 am) I'm watching a biography of Jon Bon Jovi. Next on the schedule is "Private Sessions," a combo interview-live music show. The rock musicians sure have a hard life.

Are you working weekends now under the new team schedule? I'd advise you to set your DVD/VCR player but I haven't figured out my "new" one yet. I've "only" had it a year. lol

Everyone in the warehouse will get a full 3 days off every week and it will be a 10-hour 4 day week.

Maybe Santa will get you a video recording device for Christmas. The prices of those things have come so far down since the first one I bought. It's amazing.
Some of those old movies are still very enjoyable. I always check Turner Classic channel for the old movies I might like to watch. At this time of year some of the great classics are on all the channels. One of my all time favorites is the one where Ralphie wants a bb gun and he keeps getting warned he'll shoot his eye out.
