I usually like the characters with the best balance between power and personality, and right now, Naruto's godlike and not as much of a moron as he used to be (he even drops cool lines into this lattest fight, too.)
Spoilers for manga -> Double Giant Rasengan, the ability to read others' chakra and hence know Kakashi's a gonner, and keeping a cool head even after that realization. Nevermind he's moving and controlling the natural energy in him with seemingly no effort at all. Blame it to Kyuubi or what ever, but one way or another, Naruto IS the Big Guy In Town now.
Almost makes it look like the mangaka purposefully set up Sasuke to be omg cool, just so Naruto's stuff would look cooler because they are showier than even Sasuke's (or Itachi's. Or heck, even pain.)
I'm only now waiting to see if my Harem Rasengan theory could be true. Either that, or some wicked Midare Kagebunshin Rasengan move. For those who don't care about Japanese, "Thousand Shadow Clones Rasengan. How Naruto is right now, a move like that would not only be possible, but almost mandatory.
Pain: Come on, give me your best shot.
Naruto: Okay.
Pain: *Sees a thousand Naruto rushing at his bodies from all directions.* Mommy?
Also, another theory: We've already seen the real Pain. And it's not any of the six bodies, nor is he Konan. I'll leave it to you guys to see if you can guess who he is.

I'm still looking for a reason to watch more Naruto. Maybe the dub of Shippuden will help (Just to defend it) but thats it.
It's sad when I only watch an anime series to argue with other fans of that anime.

Then don't bother. The anime's rather bland (seen most of what's out, yes,) and the battles somehow manage to make less sense than in the manga.
Now the manga is... Something else.
Spoiler time: I knew it, the Rasenshuriken wasn't meant to stay a melee technique forever. Star shaped molecular fision ball of doom FTW!

Well... The guy's Naruto.
I mean. He's like the freaking Dragon of Wishes, without the wishes.
Bet he revives them to help him beat Pain/Konan/Mizukage/Naruto's mother (now that last is a joke, but... Who knows? razz )

I would so watch Naruto if it became a buddy comedy with Gaara and Rock Lee as Roomates as sort of a new age Odd Couple.
Man that would be so much cooler then the Naruto we have now.

@Creative: I dunno. I like shows and manga where stuff gets blown up to the sky, and Pain freaking blew a whole city up a few issues ago. (And nevermind Naruto's Rasenshuriken, that looked a bit less awesome than Krillin's Kiensan, but only a bit.)
