James drew back with a sigh. She clearly wasn't interested in him. He turned, "I'll meet you in orbit. Bring your ship, since it'll make it easier." With that he strode to his own room for his luggage.

Both surprised, and secretly relieved, Arianeira hung back to let him go first. She'd left all of her stuff on her ship anyway, so she hadn't got to grab anything. Reluctant to go back past the obsessive-looking woman she had passed on the way in, she toyed with the idea of the window again. Decision made, she returned to it, quickly reopening it and climbing out.

James strode past the woman, who tried to gain his attention, then looking annoyed as she was ignored.
James walked towards the Hyperon who powered up as he got on. He ignored her as she offered him a drink, sinking into a seat with a distressed sigh.

Balancing on the sill, Arianeira closed it carefully, then looked around for an easy way down. She couldn't find one, so settled on her original intention of climbing along the ledge and making the jump. Her headache was almost gone, so she was confident of being able to make it. She edged along the ledge towards the corner of the building.

The Hyperon powered up with a loud crunch noise. The crunch was caused by the platform wobbling. The ship lifted clear, racing towards an altitude that let them see the females ship.

Arianeira made the jump with a couple of inches to spare - her judgement was not quite back to normal, she reflected ruefully - then started to climb down the side to a lower adjacent roof below, which was close enough to the ground that she wouldn't hurt herself by dropping from it. She landed in a crouch, then striaghtened, satisfied, before heading back towards her ship. In a strange way it made her feel more confident about what she was planning to do next that her familiar skills were still there.

After a few moments, Captain Stratford grew bored. The Hyperon lifted higher, breeching the protective shields around the city that kept out al unwelcomes, increasing thrust in the bow of the ship and decreasing in the stern to point it upwards, firing up the main thruster to edge the ship from the plants atmosphere.

Arianeira crossed to the port at a low run, vaulting the waill, typing the code into the door and slipping inside. Sliding into her seat, she activates the protective gravititaional field, placing her hand on the sensor to activate the controls, then programming the lift-off, gripping the controls lightly as she lifts the craft in a smooth motion.

Breaking planetary orbit, the Hyperon rotated, bringing it into a position that put it parallel to the Christine. The ships conversed at speeds quicker than light as the Hyperon matched rotation to effortlessly in time with the far larger ship. Any human attempt would appear highly sloppy.

Pausing briefly to take a last look at the planet, Arianeira followed, rolling her eyes at the technical approach. It might be neat but I bet it isn't fun. She thought, bringing the position up on the fingerscreen, looking at the angles, waiting.

The Hyperon moved slowly onto into the hanger, touching down. Stratford had to wait until the female boarded before he could get out.

Arianeira didn't bother with slow. Having judged the angles, she fully opened the throttle, making a quick - if with barely inches to spare - entrance, before relanding inside. Her curiosity was piqued by meeting Staratford's friend, and although she would never have admitted it, she was slightly nervous.

As soon as she was on, the doors closed. The air was pressured and Captain James Stratford descended his ship, walking towards a large, blond man dressed as a captain. They looked silently at each other then grinned, slapping each others right hand in a companionable way. "Been a while, Guilder." Stratford growled.
"Aye, ya damn rouge." Guilder replied, nodding towards he other ship. "Who's that?"
