Ooooo Shrimp puffs. Carl grinned and looked Rosey's way. "May I have one as well? I've never tried that - but I heard they taste really good.." Beef and chicken were his usual choices, the occsional bit of pork or veal working their way in, but despite having heard from his mother and family about it, he'd never been presented such an opportunity to try his hand at one of these things.

"Thanks. Now I can count that as one more thing I take away from this place before I leave." The bird beamed brighter, if that was at all possible, and fluffed up a bit - obviously pleased that he'd managed to survive the week.

Rosey soon flited through with Willow's food and set it down placeing some on her plate as well and putting a shrimp puff on carl's plate. Along with a rice ball and some sushi.
Willow took up her chop sticks and started eating rather slowly.

Carl eyed the shrimp puff, sizing the little moursel up before daintilly taking up the tender tidbit and taking a bite. It sorta tasted like something fishy - but not exactly fishy...more fleshy...in a good way! The bird rolled it around on his tongue for a moment before finally deciding he liked it well enough and began devouring his meal with the intended instruments until all was clear and he leaned back, content. "Ah, that was good...as always. Thank you, Rosey - and by the by, do you know whether LP is up?"

Willow finished her meal slowly and only paused to look at carl with slightly narrowed Eye brows. 'Don't know..... don't care......' is all the look said after she was finished she stumbled off to bed. "night."
Rosey watched her Mistress retreat and blinked several times. Shurging she used the stick to point outside.
LP was already working, she'd poured the sand into the ditch and around it that carl had built after smoothing out the land. Her work was deligment enough.

"Right...Well, thank you Rosey. I'm going to go out and start on the island again, hopefully getting it done today." And with a nod to his deceased companion he pushed himself up and slipped the chair back into place, pardonning himself from the dining hall. He was pleased to see Lp was up and atom. "Good morning! How'd you sleep, LP?" Carl moved towards her and began assisting without much second thought to the work, rather interested in her morso than the job.

Carl moved over to the worksite and slipped into the hole on his own, using his claws for friction on the walls before his feet met earth. He pulled his talons from the dirt and moved then to the pile, grabbing it up and starting the process they'd already begun the previous evening, packing it in hard before motioning for more.

Lp watched carl and muttered, "Dangit carl you're going to make the walls unsafe if you keep that up. I'm no constrution master but I know you can go around putting your claws into it it'll make it cave in."
She grabbed up some dirt and started patting it in place where his claws had been. She added Dirt as he ran out she was hoping they'd have this done by the afternoon so she could poor the sand and let the water flow before carl left.

"Sorry, I didn't think they would go so deep. Is the wall stable?" For the sake of his own safety, he paused to look back at the wall before continuing. He wanted to get some decent progress done before he would be retrievedand taken back to his own life. Something that wouldn't much happen if a wall fell on him. Thus he sped the work just by a bit, making sure it was more than passable before moving onto placing the next pile of loose dirt on top.

"Yeah it's fine just don't do it again...." She said rather strenly.
As they kept working the pile slowly grew and she paused thinking for a second. "Hrmm... Hang on I think I have an idea." She left for a second and came back with a rather large tube.
"Move back Carl." She said afterwards putting the tube on the pile and started to fill it with dirt, followed by a good amount of water and then she grabbed up what looked to be a stamp and pressed down on it. "If this doesn't work well then I just wasted an hour or two that'll we'll have to rework it." -she laughed and then pulled out the stamp and took away the tube. "There now all we ned to do is add a little more dirt maybe toss on some cement, first.... and hope it stays."

Carl nodded and did as told as LP moved away and came back to employ her idea. Admitedly, it would save them alot of time, but the risk of losing it...well...He could feel his tail twitching anxiously as he watched her work, hoping that it would go as she'd planned so he wouldn't need spend another full day working on what little bit they'd already done to start with. "Let's just pray for the best and let it set in, and hopefully it'll stay so we can move on to the sand and water."

LP looked at it and nodded, "I think once we toss some cement on it to cover it it'll be fine...." She went to grab a bag and started dusting the 'island' with it. While at the same time making sure it was sparyed and damp enough for the cement to stick. She did this several times to make sure there was a nice even coat on it. And almost covered it as well. "Okay now that has to dry and we can make it a little more islandy after that. We'll work on the sand in the river beds for now."
She picked up carl and set him on the ground. "Grab one of the rakes if you don't mind dear. I'll pour and you can smooth it out. Afterwards I'll toss in a little cement to keep it from going too far.

Carl smiled up at her and ran to do the bidding she'd declared. He liked the fact she reffered to him as 'dear', something Willow never really had been maternal enough to express towards him...or anyone else, to his knowledge. Rather odd, since LP seemed like she'd make a good, motherly figure. Ah, but that really wasn't his buisness, nor concern at the moment, so he pushed away the stray wonderings of his mind and snatched up a rake, returning to the worksite shortly to await the next step.
