All he needed was to keep her distracted, but he didn't want to provoke her. "So you yourself doesn't actually kill?" he laughed. "I find that hard to believe." he said. "And who exactly would you be planning on using today?" he asked, a bit sarcastic.

Violet's smirk grew wider.
"Oh i can kill alright, but its a little messy. If you must really know, i was thinking of either Leila or yourself. Its in her best interest that the piece of filth above us should go, but it would be fun to see how your mind works, fae," she replied, her voice growing softer but loosing none of its hate.

Leila stood up, her brow furrowing a bit. "And why, exactly, would it be in my best interests to attack an angel when I have nothing against her? If you are so keen on destroying her for no reason whatsoever, then you do it yourself. Or why not control Dream? He seems close enough. Or is there something special about him that you don't frustrate him like you do Vanessa?" Her eyes looked up at the angel and Dream, wondering what their conversation was about. "I have no qualms with you, Violet, but we aren't your puppets."

Violet started to laugh again, it sounded insane, as if she wasn't completly incontrol of her senses.
"What are you talking about? Your a demon you fool! Do you really think that thing will leave you alone?" she yelled, pointing to the sky. She began to pace backwards and forwards, her green eyes glowing and swirling as she grew more agitated.
"Everyone is a puppet, maybe not to me but no person has true free will," she snarled,
"I can't control Dream from this distance, and i refuse to go near that....that thing," she explained, her voice barely more then a whisper now.

"So you don't want to go near it, but I should? And how do you propose I actually get up there? You're the only one here with usable wings, and I don't think Vanessa can really get that high with her air powers. So how about giving politeness a chance instead of trying to kill everything you don't like?"

"Why should i do that! Are they ever polite to us? When was the last time you saw an angel that wasn't trying to kill demons like us? Besides, because they live my parents died, i think i have a right to want to kill them," she yelled at her then instantly stopped talking. It must have been the first time in 150 years that she looked worried to the point of scared.

"You forget I haven't been a demon for long, Violet, so I have never seen an angel killing a demon until today. As for your parents, I am sorry. But who is to say that angel is responsible for their deaths?" Leila's eyes narrowed at her last statement. "And no one has the right to kill anyone."

Violets eyes flashed dangerously.
"You may be a demon now, but your still a child, and a foolish one at that. If your that bothered i won't kill her, but if she dares come near me i am not responcible for my actions," she snarled then stalked away. As she walked she muttered to herself,
"Who said an angel did the killing...it's because they exist my parents were killed," Violet cast a wary eye over her shoulder up at Dream and the angel before striding up the beach and around to the other side of the lake.

Haucon watched the exchange smiling. This was perfect. Violet was distracted, and better yet uncomfortable, a state he'd never seen her in before. Leila was standing up for herself too. "I'm going to go talk to her." he said to Leila. "She worries me." and with that he was striding across the sand toward Violet.

Seeing Haucon fast approaching she swore and quickly looked around. Quickly she glided up to the nearest tree, sitting with her legs dangling.
"What the hell do you want now?" she asked, obvious still on edge.

Haucon took a drag on his cigarette, "I was just wondering if you were ok." he said. "And why you're so quick to jump to conclusions..." he explained. "So..."he trailed away.

Violet nearly fell from the tree.
"Me jumping to conclusions?" she repeated, suprised by what he was saying. With a shake of her head she sighed,
"You really haven't been on earth much have you? This wars been going on for years, its hardly 'jumping' at all," she replied. As she spoke she didn't look at Haucon, she was far to busy watching the angel, eyes following her every move.

Haucon nodded at her. "You're right, I've not been here very long, and on top of that, I'd only ever heard of demons and angels." he laughed. "Why are you so tense? I didn't think angels were particularly violent. And besides, you know she's here, but she doesn't know you're here, so either way you have the upper hand..." he shook his head.

"They may look harmless, but they are just like my kind. Only difference is that they still belive they are doing whats right. In Hell we know that we do wrong, we just have the sense to admit it," she explained with a sigh. As she spoke she dropped down from the tree to stand beside him. A small grin on her face she added,
"I wouldn't need an upper hand if you let me finish her, i'll bet you any money she'll walk around all bright light and goodness. I'm blaming you lot if i go blind,"

Leila glanced over at Vanessa and took her seat beside her again. She was upset that Haucon had left to talk to Violet, but he was free to do what he wanted. She simply wished he had chosen to stay instead. Glancing up at the sky, she wondered if what Violet had said was true about the angel.
