Skip noticed the globe, and felt something odd about it, not slowing his speed, he turned the chair, and then pushed it forward, so that it sailed through the hallway to the right. He then allowed himself to slow just enough to examine the globe the slightest bit, and take in from it whatever he could. He felt it was probably pointless, and it was only a matter of seconds before he accelerated his speed again, his speed almost doubling to catch up to the chair. He realized that a good deal of danger could have befallen Emerald while he wasn't guarding her, and he now felt kinda sick.
Ignore it. Don't look back. Death is just around the corner behind you....

All he could really tell was that it looked super awesome. Maybe later. Now, it's time to live. Down the hallway were two doors, completely identical except that one, on the wall in front of him, had the addition of a glass pane in it's center, and topped with an exit sign and large label, definitely led to a stairwell. The other, to the left...was plain. It wad a little sign next to it that said, "Doorway to Fate (Training)". To its right was a small keypad. Definitely code-locked.
THUMP. SMASH. THUMP.
Ellisent was getting closer. They could hear him grumbling under his breath as he ran after ******** kill those kidssss...

No time to think. "Vixen, see if that door works!" He said pointing to the stairwell. As for the other door... training didn't sound so interesting, but "Doorway to Fate"? You don't name a room something like that if its not important.
No time to think. Just act. Skip couldn't possibly think of a combination. Hoping that either this would work, or that Vixen could get to the stairs, Skip punched the keypad as hard as he could.

Listening to Skip, Vixen ran hard to the stairwell doors. She was at the door as Skip punched the keypad, and held it open if that did not work. She hoped it did. Somehow, wheelchairs and stairs just did not mix at all.

Damn, that really hurt...nothing happened, either. Looked like the keypad needed a legit code. Punches didn't really work.

Skip knew he would die if this didn't work.
That would really suck.
He typed 130982 into the keypad.
He then grabbed Emerald's wrist, and squeezed.
And closed his eyes.
This had better ******** work.

[Going to bed. There's no way you guys can finish the chapter now. I'm actually a little worried for you guys, too. Forgot about the whole keypad thingy. It'll take a lot of work to pull this off...and some good rolls, but once you're in chapter 3, Ellisent won't be able to get to you.

With a speed and strength no one would possibly expect from a stocky 17-year-old, Skip grabbed Emerald and Vixen by the arm, and literally threw both of them into the room, and then bolted into it himself. As the door closed, he turned to face Ellisent, and, hoping he wouldn't come to regret it, flipped him off. The door closed a second later, which Skip was glad that it did before retaliation came.
Holy ********. That was close.
