And this Canadian would LOVE to join a Kinnikuman cosplay group (mmm, Checkmate might be interesting...). To answer the locale question, maybe we could pick a convention kinda in the middle of where everyone lives?

MissMothra: I don't really want to hear that. People with limited budgets can still make decent/awesome costumes regardless. I don't really know any cosplayers/costumes to use for examples right now but maybe Knuxie knows one or two. XD

Though I know Veil's from Florida which is pretty far. I wonder who else would join us if there was to be a first North American Kinnikuman group. o_o;

There's a little con in Michigan I'm hoping to go to It's called Youmacon. I gotta see if I can get a job first though, but I'll definitely be going to Ohayocon (Columbus, OH) Depending if I can go to Youma, I dunno if I'll be bringing a UM cosplayer. I'm hoping to finish up Franziska von Karma (Phoenix Wright) and maybe bring Pyramid Head if Daguru's gonna be there.

As far as funds for cosplay.. it depends on the costume. My Pyramid Head costume costed barely $10. If you've got the right resources and know-how, you can do stuff pretty cheaply and still look good. =3 Usually the stuff that costs the most is buying fabric.

The Japanese UM cosplayer look good because Japan has a LOT of costume shops where they can buy the materials and stuff, and like you said, they could be slightly commisioned. Speaking of which.. I really want to do Kevin's armor. @__@; I'm not fond of my commish'd trench coat anymore. And not too many people recognize me.

Edit: Lawl. I just got a PM from a suppose-staff member saying I'm being suspected of hacking. They want me to give them my username and password. XDD *just reported it*

I dunno about eveyone else, but I doubt I'll be able to do this until late 2008 (at the earliest) or 2009. That would give enough time to: collect funds, create a costume (for those not with costume yet), pick a destination, and figure out just how the hell we'll each get there.

I take awhile to work on costumes (stupid work/lack of resources), especially things detailed/unique like Checkmate's look. Those chess pieces will be fun to make up (wonder where I can get big styrofoam blocks?)... xD; I'm jealous of those japanese cosplayers with thier shops.

As for cons, the one con I go every year is Anime North, that takes place in Toronto on Memorial Day weekend. It's a pretty big con, usually over 10,000 attendees, and lots of hotels in the area (many with deals for congoers). What sort of cons do you know about in PA, Miss Mothra? I'm seeing there's 5 there this year.

2007 doesn't seem possible for me. I'm so square that I still don't even have my driver's ID even though I'm already 19. >__>;;

Bah. That and I haven't done a thing for my Mars costume which was something I wanted to make but it's been months since then, mainly because I'm lazy. (I wanted to do a Scarface costume too but I can't find a pair of pants in that color and his... hat anywhere. All I see are caps at goodwill or whatever. x_x But I'm more focused on Mars anyhoo.)

And I'm also still trying to save up my money so I can get some extra web host space for Yuujou Power. The current pictures in the galleries right now is 56.5 MB worth of s**t and 50webs free accounts has 60 MB worth of space so I could sign up for an another account. However, I still have 300+ more pictures to add so it's going to exceed waaay over 60 MB so... why bother? I can wait until I actually have enough money to get enough space for all of the pictures. That's why I don't have any of the pictures up even though I got the pages done and whatnot. Just not enough space. XD;

So... in conclusion, Riya is lazy, somewhat of a loser, and saving up her money for Yuujou Power. :B

But regardless, I shall do a Mars costume someday. SOMEDAY!

Luce: Yeah, 2007's WAAAAY too soon; plus, it limits what cons we could go to. By waiting, we have a larger variety of meetup places we could choose from. (and I didn't get my full license until I was 21, hehe).

Hmm, Scar's hat is red-brownish right? Maybe I'll take a look around my city for you; it's pretty much a retirement city now, so folks are bound to have hats like that in sales/goodwill. xd ;

MissM: Yeah, really. Real, honest to god costume shops are few and far between. And the typical Halloween stuff can be hard to 'customize', though I admit, one of our local stores has awesome Halloween stuff.
