I lost count of band-lationships because we had so many, they never lasted more than a couple of weeks. We only had one couple that were seniors and they had been dating all four years of high school. It was a clarinet player and a trombone-football player or jock as they call them.

You'd think after school ended, there'd be no band-lationships for a while, but it seems like I'm hearing about MORE now. XD It probably doesn't help that I'm staff at Summer Music School. A week ago I saw a trombone player and a violin player walking around the mall holding hands, and I found out Friday from the violin player's friend (a cello/bass player) that they are indeed dating. Which is hilarious, because they are the LAST people you would expect to see together.
Let's see... then my friend, a sophomore clarinet/trombone player, has had this freshman bari player (the younger brother of the cello/bass) flirting with her a bunch at SMS, and so she's starting to like him, but she wants advice from ME. And I am the LAST person qualified to give out that sort of advice. XD She's also had a different freshman bari flirting with her, but she thinks he's creepy and he also has a girlfriend, supposedly.
And my best friend, an oboe player, was dating a percussionist for a couple months, but they broke up for one reason or another. She's liked this trombone player for a good three years almost, but he likes a flute player who is moving to California. She's also been kind of flirting with this trumpet player recently (though I don't think she's realized it), and now the trumpet player's parents think that they're dating. XD
Then I'm still in love with a tenor player, but I don't know if he likes me, blah blah blah. What else is new?

o gosh! so many stories to tell! we have like half a dozen in my band! as of last year girls and guys can no longer sit in the same seats on the bus! to many weird things gonin on! eeks! it's to horrible to think about. well my frshman yr of hs we had a couple well you can only imagine! but we always have like 2 or 6 couples in band. i was in a band-lationship and possibly getting into another when i become freshmeat again next fall, 2006!i never did anything more than put my head on his shoulders! but we had friends in band who did "everything" it was scary b/c we'd sit by them..... cry so horrible must never relive those moments!!

Hehe, I'm the second snare for marching and the center snare for winter perc. My girlfriend (for one year and 7 months thank you very much xd ) is trombone section leader and brass captain for both marching and concert, and pit captain for winter perc. There are other band couples in our band but most of them don't last much longer than half a season. Love you pyro! heart
oh hehe forgot to mention that last season I was the Band captain for that year (aged out this year sadly) and this upcoming year she will be the new band captain whee (yes she's one year younger than me)

Person I may or may not be interested in, because I really get the feeling that she may or may not be interested in me, I may or may not have met through gaia on the musician's forum, because she found out i'm a boy flautist.
And we may or may not be meeting some time in the near future

my friends and i spent an entire class period of history (1hr 35m) flipping through our yearbooks looking for eligible band guys to date our senior year.....we found like 5 out of 25 cuz our class is pitiful. so my only hope of having love my senior year is to go out with a senior when im a junior.....and even then it will be hard.....or the rest of the guys can become eligible......thats hard too.....

Sinsa (I'm new here btw) Most bands have at least 1 pair of kids who are in a relationship, in our band we call it a "Band-lationship". Now, we had one band-lationship in our highschool band last year, now, at retreat girls can't go into guys cabins and guys can't go into girls cabins (god only knows what happend to cause that). While I wasn't in highschool when this happend I was in jazz band with these 2 kids and they really did go at it (silly altos). Since then these 2 have gone diffrent ways (the chick quit band) and up till now there hasnt been a "Band-lationship". Now I am going out with the bass trombone and we are the "Band-lationship". He sits right next to me in band, both Jazz and stage (I play bass clarinet in stage and trombone in jazz) so we are the butts of many jokes. Now, onto my actual topic, do you have a "band-lationship" in your band? If so has anything funny or annoying happend from it at retreat, camp, tour, or concerts? Damn that was long.... U play the bass clarinet!? I do too! blaugh

leahzord I'm in the only bandlationship that is happening in our band, now. I'm a horn and I'm dating a percussionist (against all odds... usually the 2 don't get along). Anyway, I have dated a trombone, first trumpet, a snare onceuponatime, and now my percussionist. I guess in band I'm kind of the queen of it... How sad. Oh well. Others do it, too. It's a very secretive thing. And usually the band girls date older graduated band guys. It's really sick and twisted, this band dating thing. . Hey! I'm a horn and I'm dating a percussionist too! He's the only band person I have dated. We've been together for more than two years now.

Ew... A friend of mine [a fellow clarinet] has gone through EVERY SINGLE DUDE IN THE BAND. Yes, it's true, I swear to you. And it's sad. The only 'band-lationship' that's ever lasted was that of a Baritone girl and a Trumpet boy. Hight difference between them=

i have never been in a Band-lationship... i can think of many who i would like to be in one with lol but none would have meh. but as for others... same problem as me... lol anywho...... ya.
