"Well, I'm a traveling mage. Looking for a party to join, so that I can hone my skills. It can be hard going one on one without someone to back you up when you're a weak little piece of scum like me... but it's probably hopeless. I doubt anyone would let someone like me join their group."

"Your awfully hard on yourself. What makes you think your so undesirable? If your weak, train. Prove yourself through individual combat. I'm sure someone will notice and respect you then." Fury studies Luc's reaction carefully, hoping his words have not offended the young mage.

Luc thinks for a moment, then sits up and for the first time sense he entered the bar he looks hopeful. "Yeah... You're probably right. It's just that for the last few years I haven't been complemented like that. Thank you noble Fury. If it wouldn't be too much trouble do you think we could travel together for a bit? Your optimistic attitude could do me well." Luc looking exited waits for a response.

"I don't mind, not at all. However, I must warn you that I am currently engaged in the Individual Tourney, and have a party reservation for a dungeon immediately following. However, if you would like to have a practice match with me, we could head on over to my Training Grounds. It will help bolster your confidence in your abilities, I am sure.

"We shall see; the Gods of Chance may smile upon you yet." With that, Fury stands up, heading out of the tavern. "Shall we meet within the Training Grounds?" Not waiting for a response, Fury heads out of the tavern.

Luc goes for a response but Fury leaves before he gets a chance. He shrugs and walks out of the tavern.

Fury returns to the tavern, after finishing his training with Luc. "Well that was an interesting battle. Young Luc shows some real potential," He thinks to himself. Ordering a hot cup of tea, Fury relaxes into a comfortable chair.

Luc enters the tavern, and sees Fury drinking some tea. Luc waves and walks over to the bar. "Some hot water please." Luc takes the mug over to Fury's table and adds some powder from pouch and stirs it up. "That was a pretty good battle you and Alecks had. He would be a good asset in a party."

"Yes, he definitely has great potential. As a Defender he's top notch. His abilities will shine in an actually dungeon battle. Under those conditions, the enemy will come to him..." Fury continues to drink his tea, working combat strategies involving Alecks with his mind's eye.

"Yes yes. I hope that he will join a party with us. I get exited at the thought of killing evil creatures, and not having to worry about them attacking me." Luc finishes off his tea, goes to the bar gets some more and comes back. "So I've been thinking of setting up a small little area next to your training grounds and using it for a similar purpose, but just for mages to practice on, but before I can do that I need to practice a little more myself."

Luc gets up and walks over to the poster.... "Hmm... This sounds like a lot of fun. I probably will die in the first round, but it's worth a shot right?" Luc bolts out of the tavern.
After a few minuets he returns exited. "Well I applied hopefully I can get accepted soon."

Luc leaves the tavern to go to the tournament.
Luc comes back from the tournament tired and sweaty. He enters the tavern and quickly scanns the crowd. He then rushes over to the bartender. "The usual." The bartender gives Luc a mug of hot water, and Luc takes it to the table Fury is sitting at. "Fury I need your help, and I'm sure we need a few more people's too. While I was in the tournament there was an old man who's farm was in danger of being overrun by goblins. We need to go take them out. Maybe Alecks could join us, and anyone else you know." Luc pours the powder from his pouch into his drink, takes a sip, and waits for a response.
