"Not completely" She admitted. Many people thought it had been destroyed completely, and forgotten about it. At the moment some gangs still thrived having complete control of the planet. She knew that too well. "It's kind of that thing no one ever talks about. Besides it's not that important in the empire. There's quiet the amount of wrong doings happening there though." she felt a little uncomfortable thinking of what was once home.

"There's no order. The place is ruled by gangs...swoop gangs of course. After the destruction left a lot of room for more racing. The place is kept going by illegal shipping, racing, and all sorts of things. If you're looking for the worst in the galaxy, you're just as likely to find them on Taris. I happened to have been one of them, some time back that is." She continued, thinking he couldn't do much now, though it wasn't like she cared.

He nodded slowly, not holding it against her. As he had learned long ago, you did what you had to in order to survive. He waited patiently for Leeza to continue.

"It was nothing to murder or torture those who didn't heed to the gangs rule. Anyone who tried to impose domocracy or any kind of government would be immediately put on the chopping block. Three gangs constantly sway the power between them. The particular one I joined was in currently in power for the longest time before I left." She left the explanation at that for the time being "It's amazing I'm even a Jedi. I've worked hard though..." her voice difted off as her thoughts ran away. She didn't really notice the odd silence that now fell upon them.

Jami nodded slowly as she finished her tale. "At least...." A sudden beeping alerted him. He cursed and ran quickly into the captain's cabin. "Great. We come out over Ansion only to be ambushed by pirates." He turned to Leeza.
"If you want a thrill, get into one of the ball turrets." He pointed to two half-balls near the center of the ship that would lead to the ball turrets. "Deenine can take control of the other one. I'll have to swerve a bit, but I'll do my best so you can shoot."

She smiled to herself as she made her way to the turret. Sitting down and readying herself she relaxed a little more. It wasn't the first time she had used something such as this. It shouldn't be too hard to take care of the situation.

Looking up, Jami saw two TIE fighters and two TIE Interceptors. He murmered to himself. "They must be pretty desperate if they're using such old fighters." He banked and turned to face one of the fighters, positioning himself easily. Green bolts lanced out from the enemy craft, and impacted on the ship. Jami easily shrugged off the impact and responded with a flurry of fire. One of the ships spun out of control, and two headed to the side to avoid being hit by their comrade - putting them right in range of the ball turrets.

As two came into view Leeza took aim, without most of the equipent that was installed to help with such tasks. She then began to fire, and soon they too were without control. why use such ships? she wondered. She didn't know much about it, but she did know those were old there must be more to this than just pirates she thought to herself again.

In Orbit of Ansion
Jami turned, but was unable to see the last fighter. "Where are you...." Then an impact rocked him from the back of the ship. The last fighter was riding in the blind spot, where it could not be hit. Cursing, he banked and knocked the last fighter out of the air. However, the forward momentum caused it to impact - right into the side of the ship. Power went dead, and the ship, which was close enough to the massive green planet ahead, fell inexorably towards the planet. Jami pulled in the ball turrets and frantically flipped switches, trying to restore power.

Leeza cursed under her breath, knowing her lack of knowledge in the area of starships and such left her with no way of really helping in such a situation. She hoped the reliance of the force would step in a little here.

Jami swore loudly as the ship plummeted through the atmosphere. Finally, with about five hundred meters to spare, the shields kicked in again. He sighed sadly. "Well, at least it's something." The engines, however, were damaged beyond repair. The impact left a small crater, and Jami lost conciousness as his head hit the control console.

Leeza had a fairly dazing fall on her side. After a few minutes of silent stillness she slowly stood as best she could, her arm felt numb. She had indeed fallen on it, but the damage she was unsure of. She headed to the captain's cabin to find Jami out cold. She sighed taking a look at his head...

Jami awoke slowly and coughed up a bit of blood. Disgusted, he wiped his mouth and sighed softly. "Why is it that every time I come here, I end up hurt?" He then turned to Leeza. "Are you all right?"

She glanced at her arm then back to Jami "I'm fine." she watched him intently "What about you? looks like you hit your head pretty hard"
