Erica walked out of her room and into the hall, turning off her stealth as she walked up to Aly and Aaron. She remembered Aly briefly, small flashes of memories involving a bar, but other than that her mind just gave her more trouble. "I can watch him. You don't have to worry."

Ora approached the base, still hidden from view, but instead of going in herself, she created the illusion of a very large and ugly creature, and sent it into the base to distract the twenty guards, and give them something to shoot at. Everyone likes to feel useful after all, and it would give Minerva a chance to move through the base.
The beast stood about fifteen feet tall. A grotesque creature with toad like features and long fangs. It appeared to rip through the opening of the building. Of course once the soldiers decided to fire, the anti-power bullets would bring the illusion fading to nothing. But Ora just wanted them to focus their attack elsewhere.

"Minerva" saw the beast, and the guards run off towards it. She walked down the stairs, and down to the Dormitory floor. She looked at Ally with a distressed look. "They need your help out there. People are getting slaughtered. You would do better than I would."

Alarms start going off signaling the base is under attack. If anyone was manning the communications room they would have probably noticed Minerva walk beneath the cameras. Now Ora's technique is associated with altering a person's perception,and though the camera might see Ashura, the person viewing the camera would see Minerva...however this wouldn't work if the person was in anti powered environment...and since I don't know whether the communications room is anti-powered or not, etc, this alarm is sounding a little late. I also thought the alarm would be going off earlier...or some other impediments might have happened, but meh.

A.C. found her way back into the base. The AoS was attacking New Pheonix, too, she knew, but there was nothing she could do there. Either the general would earn his keep or he wouldn't, and she didn't belong to a combat unit. However, in her absence she had looked up all the people she'd seen here... like Erica. She didn't find her under Cyan, but then, she hadn't looked. It was surprisingly easy to find out who she had been, although what had happened to her since her reported death was a mystery. A.C. assumed that there had been some near-death experience that denied Erica of her powers, maybe drove her mad, and that Arch and Co. had taken her in out of a sense of charity.
But Xeen Soldevi was Erica's widower. If she was found, it would change his role in the war dramatically, maybe even take him out of it. Ora would not want that to happen until she'd gotten what she wanted. Cruel "little" Ora might even kill the woman to keep her father. And, no doubt, by now she knew about her. That could be the only reason for attacking both bases at once.
A.C. didn't intend to give the witch her way.
"Cyan!" A.C. dropped from the ceiling between her and the others. "You and the boy are to come with me," she told Erica, eyeing the child and deducing he was probably the one Ruby had mentioned. "We're not any of us going to do any good outside." She turned to Aly and nodded, but let the ex-spy see a quick glance at "Minerva" before she turned away with Erica and Aaron. If that's Minerva... who did I just see? There's something off about this. Alarm bells rang in her head.

"Minerva" swore as AC gave her an odd look. There was a quick mental blast at both her and Ally, pinning them against the walls. She slammed Aaron into Erica, and threw the marble at the ground below them, the marble bursting open and emitting a door. He grabbed them both, and slipped in.

Ashura's blast couldn't hold them once he was gone. A.C. followed them before the door could close.
(46 - 2 from poison = 44) ((Where is Ashura's profile? Did the blast also do damage? How much?))

The gate closed, swallowing "Minerva", Aaron, AC, and Cyan whole.

Arch cursed as he heard the news, and then cursed again for seeing A.C. disappear.
"Merlihn, ahm takihn the buhs ahwt. Keehp the bahse defehndehd." Arch said, racing off. He blinked to the garage in his bus and, after opening the garage door, drove into the Krohv thread.
Merlin nodded, cursing as well for not catching whatever caused A.C. to disappear, distracted with protecting from more offensive magics. He raced as well up floors, pausing on the dormitory floor as he sensed something unnatural. He saw the door closing, and with a quick stall spell, held it open long enough for a humming bird to get in.

((Means Merlin went in the door, assuming they aren't too far ahead for me to participate, in which case he'll run to the top and I'll deal with it then.))
"Damn!" Herbasis cursed as the man he was helping took off, Herbasis being too busy paying attention to the alarm to notice the man leaving. He quickly raced to the top of the building, where the folk were all battling the monster. He was about to open fire when the troops made a post
The assembled troops began to fire upon the illusion, their power-inhibiting rounds disipating the beast, but causing them to lose the ability to fire again this post.
Herbasis took the opportunity to rally the troops and, through the un-damaged door, search for hostiles.
Alloran, grumbling as he went, got in his truck after hearing it all and followed Arch to the Krohv thread.

((The door closes after 30 seconds of being open. I'm going to assume 10-15 seconds for Cyan and Aaron to go through with Ashura, and then another 10-15 for AC to go in. So unless he saw it all happen, I don't think he could get into the door. Where the hell have you been? lol. ED and I got sick of waiting for you blaugh ))

And the use of an MP is what keeps it open, given that the marble was magic, and he just went into the programming of it to alter it's duration by a few seconds, allowing a fast animal access, which happened to be a shape-shifted him.))

((It's very complicated, involving seeing magic as a complex computer program, where Merlin acts as a terminal, his magic the wireless modem, and me saying it happened because I can't let Aaron go into the villains stronghold alone. Hell, Merlin's a hummingbird at the moment, anyhows.))
