"Sorry," the old woman said before closing the door and returning to wherever she waits.

Trina stayed still, realizing she had been holding her breath. "What do we do now?" She whispered to Baizou, worried. Tynan had been all she had to go on...

Baizou paused, turning to her, "I am not sure... I could try to track her emotions." He suggested, ears folded back in thought. He looked at Trina for any sort of approval to his idea.

"Okay...what if they're overwhelming?" She asked, nervous now that she had nothing to do. Ukaia was in trouble somewhere and she was proving to be useless..."But if you think it work, then please let it work."

"I will have to take that chance." Baizou said with a shrug. He closed his eyes and thought about Ukaia. After a few moments, he began feeling strong emotions. Fear, paranoia, a hint of apathy. Next, he captured the emotions and imagined his body floating above the town, using the emotions like a blood hound until he found a match. He gasped and opened his eyes, "She is in the prison." He announced.

Trina had stayed dead silent while she waited, and jumped slightly when he spoke. "Prison? They took Ukaia to a prison?" There was horrible sadness that Ukaia was in such a place, then the anger again, which Trina fiercely fought off. It was replaced with a sense of urgency. "You're amazing! We have to go! Which way? I'll follow you-come on!" She was speaking fast and some of her words weren't even english, but it was clear she wanted to get there as fast as possible.

Baizou nodded and took off at a run, hoping she would follow just as easily. He swooped down the street, ducking and dodging the other pedestrians easily. He liked running, especially since it warmed him up quickly. Very soon, they found themselves at the local prison. "We are going to have to break in."

Tynan returned from his 'business trip' to find an envelope taped to his apartment door. walking inside, he tossed the envelope onto the bar to look at later. First he was going to relax with a nice hot shower, and then he would worry about what was in the envelope.

Freshly showered and dressed in a clean suit, Tynan mixed himself a drink and sat down to see what the town guard thought so important that they would send him a letter about it. Breaking the seal he withdrew a rather crude letter about how they had captured his whore and put her in a cage where she belongs. It didn't take long before Tynan pieced together their pathetic attempt at innuendo. Crushing the letter in his hand he wrapped the shadows in the room around him and transported himself to the jail. Sure he could easily locate and rescue Ukaia without leaving his apartment, but they were going to pay for the numerous insults.

Tynan reappeared in his room and collapsed directly onto his bed. Silently he cursed himself for screwing up worse than he had ever thought possible, but he was soon quieted as his exhaustion took hold and dragged him into a deep sleep.

Once back in his suite, Tynan set about placing a good portion of his energy into the orb he had intended to leave with Xaldin for contact purposes. Once there was a sufficient amount stored inside, he carefully wrapped the end of Xaldin's 'thread' with his energy and gently transfered it into the orb. Hopefully if Xaldin noticed a change he would attribute it to the transport.

After stopping in a bar to duck into a restroom and change into something more... respectable, Xaldin made his way to Tynan's suite. Deciding to follow the proprieties, he knocked rather sharply on the door, then crossed his arms over his chest as he waited impatiently, standing in the rain, but bone dry.

((>.> You could've told me, I totally forgot about this))
The old woman didn't get a chance to open the door before Tynan wrapped the shadows around Xaldin from his apartment and pulled him through them and into his apartment. "May I offer you a drink?" he asked from the bar as Xaldin was deposited on the couch.

((:grins: Figured I'd see how long it took. Thought it'd be longer... good show. :pets smile )
Without skipping a beat, Xaldin shook his head, leaning back in his chair. "No, thank you. I just had a... whiskey." The man's face soured, and he looked rather disgusted. "I am trying to digest. I have a job for you." he added cooly. "Just in case the story I concocted is questioned."
