Heres what the Guardian says (one of the Uk's news papers)
Gaurdian Tv-links Report
To put it bluntly the guy was aressed for facilitation of copyright infringement as he had links from other sites witch where showing movies that had only come out at the cinema. Also Tv shows aswell.
So you can imagin all them other sites that had the videos up that he had the links for, have been closed down also.

indeed there always are those who steal eventually get caught the only problem is with things like this you open new markets of service so people will want this new need so another person will do it eventually some one will make it an earning market for example nappster it started the down loading of music on the internet it was stopped for the same reason other free sites popped up but so did payed ones like i tunes so stuff like this will continue there is no stopping it

I think it did, and more than likey Youtube will get sued. I don't think it will matter mind Youtubes always getting sued.
Myspace I am not so sure on, maybe it did but I didn't see any = but if it did then they will also more than likey be sued too.
It a sad world after all lol, but there will always be a site created that will work rings around the rules some how and get a licence to run things like this, in time the net will be the new Tv-movie center ^.^

myspace needs to get sued more anyways and i think your prediction of tv and movies moving to the net is very real and probably not so far off
