Isiah sat down next to him, opening the can for him before putting the opener into his pocket. He wasn't sure why his pocket was the best place but he was feeling too lazy to open the duffle again. "No fork. Hope you don't mind."

He leaned back against the wall, his stomach grumbling idly. Not hungry, he told himself. Not right now. He shut his eyes, as if to try to catch a few winks before the heat came back.

Tsurai Sighed, looking into the can for a few seconds before actually paying heed to Isiah's stomach.

The kid was exausted. And he had starved himself in the vault for others, and thrown up everything given to him outside the vault. He just... Was passed feeling hungry.

He was already skinny to begin with, but, Tsurai figured Isiah wanted the food more so Tsurai went over to the man and sat down beside him, shoulder to shoulder, leaning against the wall.

Looking straight ahead, he placed the open can infront of Isiah and said weakly, "You take it."

"I ate," he answered, simply. "While I was out. If you don't put something into your gut, you'll die. You don't have reserves."

He kept his eyes shut and his head against the wall through all of it, arms folded over his chest.

Tsurai took in a deep breath, and as he exhaled he said, "Not hungry."

Isiah grunted, taking the can from him. He twisted the lid off, crushing it to form more of a spoon type. Scoop thing, before eating a few meager bites. Goddamn canned tuna had never, ever been so satisfying. He ate a little more than half before handing it back to Tsurai. "Just half, then. You gotta eat."

Tsurai was a little apprehensive about it, and frowned.

He knew he probably wouldn't be able to stand back up if he didn't. That little escapade with the drug addict had gotten to his barebones of reserve energy.

".. I don't like fish," he said instead.

Isiah gave him an incredulous look. "You have GOT to be kidding me. Listen, kid, just eat it. Hold your nose."

He knew that Tsurai was making up excuses but he figured if he shot them down as they came the kid would tell him what the real problem was.

Tsurai sunk in his posture. Now he wanted to eat it just so he'd stop getting shot down.

"I don't think... I think I'm just going to chuck it back up. I don't want to waste any more food than I have already."

"Just a bite. It won't be too much of a waste. If you can hold it down we can try feeding you more later." He handed the can to Tsurai- or forced it into his hands, anyway. He had to eat SOMETHING.. he trusted that if his stomach was up to it the hunger would be awakened by the food and he would want more.

Tsurai let out a very long and audible sigh of giving in.

Putting the can on the floor, he used the lid scoopula to get a meager piece of tuna. He looked at it once, then forced himself to eat it.

The disgusting thing stayed in his mouth for a while before he swallowed it, Tsurai disliking the whole ordeal.

After this, he stood up and tried to pick up the duffelbag to go, but he couldn't lift it more than an inch or two.

This was pathetic. Tsurai tried to blame it, in his mind, on the fact that Isiah put more stuff in it.

Ugh, how could he degenerate so quickly?

"I bet if I had some of that... Jesus, what Am I thinking?! I'm not.. I'm over morphine. To hell with it." Tsurai turned around and waited for Isiah to do something.

Isiah quickly ate the rest of the tuna, before standing. He took the duffle from Tsurai. "What did I say about your arm?" He shouldered the now far more impressive weight. Isiah leaned over to pick up the shirt he had handed to Tsurai to wipe his tears with the night before, shoving half of it into his pocket. He picked up his jacket and slung it over the top of the duffle before starting out of the door. "You sure you don't want more rest before we go?"

"... Yeah," Tsurai answered, walking out of the house.

He should've eaten more. He was going to pay for being so stubborn, later...
As they walked out of town again, Tsurai saw that the body of the old man had disappeared.

The boy frowned. Cyrus was gone... The old man was gone... A shiver went down Tsurai's back and he jogged to catch up with Isiah, who obviously had way more energy than Tsurai did, putting aside the fact of Isiah's much longer legs.

Tsurai didn't like this town. He wondered why everything was disappearing...
Maybe it was just a coincidence. Yeah. He was probably making mountains out of molehills again.

Time went by, and every now and then Tsurai jogged to catch up with Isiah. But after an hour and a half of that, he gave up on it, and just kept walking, making sure he didn't lose sight of the man he was following.

The gap kept getting larger and larger, and Tsurai kept getting tired, but it seemed like Isiah just kept walking faster.
Ugh. Being in an acrid desert was horrible. They probably hadn't even walked two miles and Tsurai was about ready to collapse.

Taking a deep breath, Tsurai tried to keep walking anyway, despite how much his stomach protested.

Tsurai finally just decided to stop, but not sit down for a while.
He knew how Isiah was, and, no doubt the man would doubleback for the kid, so Tsurai didn't bother saying anything about it.

When Isiah got back to him, despite whatever the man would ask, Tsurai would interrupt with "Do you have any extra water...?"

Isiah nodded, offering him a milk jug of fresh water. Some filters had been preserved from a pool back in town and they had been used to clean what few water sources they could find- and worked pretty good too.

"I need a break." He plopped down onto his haunches. The pace he had kept was fairly breakneck even for him, and as the sun climbed higher he was beginning to wear down. He wiped his forehead of sweat, shaking his head back and forth. "I feel like I'm melting," he joked.

Tsurai went to his knees, then drank half the gallon.
He figured if he wouldn't eat, he could atleast chug water. And it actually tastes pretty good.

"... Thanks. It's... Getting to me, too." Tsurai slumped a bit and then laid on his left side and closed his eyes.

"You should use the jacket for your head," he mumbled.

Isiah lay down after he did, throwing the jacket over his face. "Seems hotter under here," he grumped, words muffled by the fabric. But the shade did make the sunburn a lot more bearable.

He pondered trying more of the girl's salve but.. he didn't think putting it on while in direct sunlight would help it's effectiveness. He had no base in fact for that belief but he thought it anyway.
