He sighed as he looked to the pebble and his eyes narrowed. He had no time to grab the wooden scythe so he threw his fist to punch the pebble and deflect it. It was simple enough and he was sure a pebble couldn't hurt too much even if it did hit him. He looked to the teacher and he nodded to him, standing up and walking towards him. "Sir...I was only teaching myself through pain to try harder...and not to lose so quickly. I do not mind losing...but that was a disgrace to myself." He said quietly as he looked to the master, unsure of what to expect from him. But he did not want to fail.

Ugu's eyes befell the younger shinigami. "That's.. One of the most stupid things I've ever heard. Chiyu #1: Ichiban a Chiyu." The teacher's eyes kept on the masochist. Sighing he would try to place his right hand on his student's shoulder, and thusly attempt to allow the energies of his healing technique flow into Haro. "Don't cause pain to yourself. It isn't going to teach you anything. You learn from the experience of a fight and the pain is just the reminder of the fight."

"Prodding a wound after a fight doesn't remind you of anything except your stupidity. And stupidity doesn't do Soul Society any good, so don't remind yourself of it."

"But sir....ifI remind myself of my stupidity...shouldn't it teach me not to do it again? Though you are the master here...not me." He said with a bright smile. "I won't do it again sir...thank you." He said with another smile as he felt his bodies energy recharging and his wound soothed, feeling better and he bowed low to Ugu. "Anything more you need from me before I return to my place amidst the other students?" He asked.

Kaosu jumped up and ran towards the open floor. "Whoop! Time to shine!" Kaosu pulled his bokken from his belt and stopped in the middle. It was finally his turn, and he was gonna take the guy down. "Don't any of you blink, this'll be done in a flash." He stretched for a few moments, first his legs, then proceeding with his arms. "Ready whenever you are."

((hallo! sorry i haven't been here..new year and stuff))

Raven smiled and picked himself off of his chair. The fights had been intense, and he was getting pumped up just watching them. It was finally his turn to battle. He walked up to the wooden floor and grinned at Kaosu. This opponent was excited. This would be perfect. It was time to fight. It was finally time to see where he stood amongst the other students. Was he really worthy enough to be an Academy Student? Was he really good enough to even set foot in this place? Hopefully, all these questions would be answered here, today, right now.

He saw Kaosu stretch and proceeded to do the same. He spent a good thirty seconds preparing his body and mind for the ensuing fight. Raven Hawthorne would give it his all. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and then opened them. Hawthorne's smile had vanished, his grin was now replaced by a grim line. His purple eyes flashed once in the light, reflecting the fiery furry bubbling within. He was ready.

Slowly, Raven raised up his bokken and brought it down in front of him, with both hands, the tip pointed at Kasou's throat and his two hands level with his waist. He slid his right foot foreward, favoring it. He took a deep breath and exhaled..until his lungs made an "uph" sound. All was silent in his mind, the only thing that existed was himself and his opponent.

Raven's mouth opened once to only form two words, even then, it was a barely audible whisper.

"Let's go..."

((not sure if I should attack right now..but in case I have too...))

Raven charged at his opponent with surprising speed and an even footing despite the weight of the bokken in front of him. He would use a basic technique now, as all martial artists know, the basics are often the most easiest attacks as well as the most deadly and accurate. Raven did a slide-step foreward when he got in striking range to add momentum to his downward slash, aimed, not for Kasou's head, but his shoulder. He hoped to finish the fight quickly but causing his opponent to find his sword arm useless.

Kaosu stood there and grinned as his opponent approached. He hadn't had a fight for a while, and this was a great way to relieve some stress. He watched the wooden blade's trajectory as it slashed down toward's his shoulder. Kaosu used a quick, sloppy, but nontheless effective, shun-po to position himself right under the swing.

The attack came in direct contact with his shoulder. Dang, should have moved farther Kaosu thought. He kept moving, however. Leaving no time for the opponent to get himself situated would be best. He swung his bokken from it's down position straight upwards, aiming first at his chest, but then at his chin. Kaosu was going for vital locations that would possibly stun Raven.

(( lol 1 damage..wee... ))

Raven frowned as he hit his mark. Only one hit out of a lot more. He would need to strike again. Unfortuantely, he was unable to continue on his offensive. His opponent recovered pretty quickly, and honestly, Raven barely even hit him. So, this WAS going to be an intense battle.

Hawthorne's sword was already down at knee level when he followed through with his initial attack, so all he had to do to block Kaosu's offensive was slide back slightly and bright his blade a little higher. That should be enough, he thought as he did the action.
