Hisoka shook his head. "You can keep the sweets, Tsuzuki," he shrugged as they approached the glimmering candy store.

Distraction loomed.
Whether it was the smell of sugar on the breeze or the glint of sunlight off a certain kitten's hair is hard to say.
"Mmhm," he said finally, leaning a little towards his partner, thinking better of whatever he'd been about to do and continuing to walk.

The doors to the candy store opened to reveal a certain mad scientist turned unicorn as he exited.
Next to him stood a coon well known to the pair walking towards the candy store.
And next to the coon stood none other than the elder Lamia of raven's Nest.
Hisoka jerked Tsuzuki into some well-placed foliage so they could observe what was going on.
"So glad you suggested this," Muraki smiled at the other two, eating a gummy worm. He started by biting off the tail and slowly making his way up the worm, till only the head remained... he had a strange fascination with heads, it appeared, as his bag of candy held several heads of gummis.
"Let's get back to the Nest," Tatsumi glanced around, his eyes remaining on the foliage a bit too long for comfort. "We don't know who's around."
"Are you suggesting something, Tsumi?" Lucius sneered.
"Only that we should be cautious, Lucius," Tatsumi shrugged before walking towards the Nest. He knew the other two would follow. And they did.

Tsuzuki merely gaped. "They were buying candy?" he demanded incredulously, barely managing to keep his voice down. "That's insane!" he groaned, realizing exactly how obvious a statement like that should've been.

Hisoka's mind attempted to process the events which had just transpired.
Hisoka's mind failed.
Hisoka's mind tried again.
Hisoka's mind failed again.
"Let's go..." he muttered to Tsuzuki as his mind kept attempting to process those events. "...before I think about that too much..."

"Let's go somewhere else," Tsuzuki corrected insistently, "I am suddenly not in the mood for candy of any sort."
Seriously, had that lamia from the front door just called Tatsumi by... a nick name? Euch. He was getting shivers all up and down his spine. Downright creepy.

"Where do you want to go?" Hisoka asked quietly as he glanced after the retreating figures. His mind still couldn't believe what they'd just witnessed.

"Dunno," Tsuzuki suggested, helpful as always. He was still hungry, come to think of it, even if seeing a certain doctor eating gummy worms had sort of put his appetite off anything remotely bug like for the next couple decades. Not that he'd had an appetite for anything remotely bug like before... okay, that was just weird.

Hisoka sighed. "Let's go get ramen-- there's a shop down the road," he suggested, moving along the path. The blonde's pure Japanese roots were beginning to show again...

Silent for a moment and then, "Exactly how many food shops are there near raven's Nest? Did she plan it this way? Or did they, you know, come to her? Like a herd of sheep or something..." Tsuzuki trailed off, tagging along behind without an actual serious thought managing to rummage its way to the frontlines of his brain.
"Why does she live in a forest?"

Hisoka sighed softly. "Miss raven used to own a Mall of sorts. She somehow managed to transfer some of the stores here-- don't ask me how, I'm not sure. Those of us who listen work here sometimes," he shrugged. "As for your other question... it's not always a forest."

Rather than ask the probably unanswerable question, Tsuzuki attempted a different approach at the same subject, "Why?"

((Gaia's dying... again.))
Hisoka shrugged. "She likes it this way?" he guessed, making his way toward the aforementioned ramen shop.

((On the bright side, Lineart of the Light got stuck on the first page. Not all that bad. [durrr, you got 'deas for lineart? durrr]))
All right, no interesting conversation in that direction. Though he was really beginning to wonder about what sort of person kept Muraki around 'just because'--or for any reason, other than to maybe keep an eye on him. But what sort of person could possibly keep an eye on him??
The scent of ramen extinguished all thoughts, "Hungry~" Tsuzuki sighed absent mindedly, wandering into the shop with a dazed, happy sort of expression.

((Some... not much. Yet.))
Hisoka couldn't help but smile a little at Tsuzuki's antics, following the wolf in. "Choose what you want to eat-- I get a small discount, since I work here sometimes," the cat motioned for his partner to sit.
A demon flew towards them, making Hisoka's eyes widen. "May I take your order~?" Hao asked, smiling.
