((As a note...the stairs face the common room, on the same wall as the bar. It's a little hard to hide at the bottom of the stairs...though you could hide on the landing before descending the last few steps.

It's still cheap that they knew Jack was there almost instantly. Even if Jack may not have been the best at hiding, aren't Gamma and Gammu drunk off their asses?

*shrugs* It's funny though, and no real harm done, so let's roll with it instead of arguing.))

"You sure about that?" Owle asked Flare. Yeah, Flare was sure. Yeah, Owle was probably being silly. If these men had wanted to kill her or Rage, they would have probably tried it already, instead of being wasted.

Still, Owle didn't get up. She somehow felt this was the best place to be right about now.

Instead of answering, Flare walked behind the bar and hauled Owle up by her underarms. "Beer. Go fetch some."

It was the girl's job, after all. And if they try to hurt you, you know what to do.

She glanced toward the stairs, where they obviously seemed to think someone was hiding. The only person she had seen go up there was Owle's new friend and sparring buddy...gods, that girl attracted interesting characters the way honey attracted flies. Rand certainly wouldn't be wearing combat boots, so...

She couldn't see him, and by now Jack wouldn't be seeing her. Flare, once she could be sure Owle was going to actually start moving again, would resume activity as normal. Which would probably mean approaching the Gamms.

With a groan of protest, Owle let herself be dragged up from the floor. Not like she had much of a choice.

"Right, right..."

Within a few moments, there were two mugs of beer sitting in front of the Gams. She was still acting nervous around them, though, her whole body tensed.

She'd been tempted to spit in their drinks, but restrained herself from the act of vengeance. It was just too...petty.

As soon as the beers were set down, she retreated a few steps away, like she'd been burned. "Can I get you anything else?" she asked, her voice strained.

Looking up at the waitress that had finally got around to serving them... Did they order beer? What did they look like, drunks? Oh right.

The glasses hit the table and Gamma was on them immediately, reaching around the knife dug into the table. Grabbing one and raising it to his mouth while dragging the second from in front of Gammu till it sat before himself. Setting the first back down he glanced back to the waitress.
"Where's his?"

Pausing for a moment.

"BOO!"

Gammu wasn't much of a beer drinker so it didn't bother him that Gamma had taken the one for him. Smoking his cigarette Gammu looked at the blue haired woman. She may have remeber them from somewhere but Gammu was drawing a blank. Perhaps it was the conditioning that was making it hard for him to remeber, or more likely the current alcohol in his blood.

"Vodka."

Jack sat on the edge of his newfound bed, drying his hair off with the towl. It wasn't like there was much to dry off in the first place, but still, it was something to do while he thought about things.

"I'm going to need a better way of getting down there if something hits the fan."

Maybe there was a window or ladder or something. Jack would be exploring the place for sometime figuring out how he would do his job as security.

A vacation from wilderness.

Owle flinched, but she didn't jump backwards when he said 'boo.' For a minute her coloration looked a little bit darker...not just her skin, but everything on her, including her clothing. But soon it passed.

"Coming right up."

She retreated back behind the bar, and soon enough had returned with some vodka for Gammu.

"There you are."

Plenty of windows in the Firebrand, there was even roof access. No ladders, though...if he wanted to climb down the building from the outside, he'd have to do it the hard way.

Really, though, was that going to be any more stealthy?

Draining the beer from the glass Gamma stared down into it. Just wondering if it was really beer because he could have sworn the waitress just changed colors. Or something.

"Relax dollface, I'm as friendly as they get." Oh, so charming.

Gammu ignored it. There were plenty of odd things in this world. Someone changing colours wasn't that odd any way. Like hadn't that same woman been talking to someone earlier about shape shifting? That was strange.

Picking up the glass Gammu took a hit and set down a half empty glass. Sipping vodka was a bad idea after all.

Now, Athan really hadn't had any experience with the Gam's during all of the craziness following the appearance of the petals. Or, perhaps, any negative experience was the actual term.

He had witnessed one of them being punted away from a giant pink steaming pile of radioactive cat s**t, but that was when they were in armor. As far as he knew, these people weren't much of a threat at all.

So when Owle took shelter behind the bar and called out for help, he thought it was just a joke of some kind. He turned slightly, facing the two drunks with his arms coming up to cross in front of his chest.

Nah, didn't look like much of a threat. Looked fun, but not threatening by any means.

"You didn't seem so friendly the last time we met," Owle retorted, before she could think the better of it. "Anyway, if there's nothing else I can get you..."

It looked like she was ready to flee from their table.

Gamma was stunned. What was wrong? Apparently Gamma wasn't the dashing, articulate, hunk of man meat with like thirty-nine charisma points that he thought he was.

Putting the half finished glass of beer on the table and pulled himself forward. Looking straight at Owle, eyes squinting, stretching his neck to get a better view. Like he was nearsighted, basically.

Then his face transformed into one of blank recollection and defeat. Gamma glanced over to his brother and gave a subtle shrug before bringing his attention back to the waitress.

Puffing out a cloud of smoke Gammu had to laugh at the look on his brother's face. And he did, a small little chuckle escaped his lips before he went back to this glass and finished it.

Setting down the empty glass he took a look at the waitress, then another. She looked oddly familiar; but he couldn't ever remeber painting her with a targeting reticle. That and she didn't look all that much like a threat.

Shrugging his shoulders Gammu went back to slowly smoking his cigarette.

Getting an answer from neither of them (though the look on Gamma's face was quite gratifying for a moment) Owle decided to be as far away from the two men as she could get...

She scurried across the bar, around the tables and chairs, finally coming to a rest behind Flare. Hide behind the tough sister.

Leaning over to Gammu, it almost sounded like Gamma was making an attempt to lower his voice. Except not really.

"Wait. Was she the one from that other place last week? The one with the y'know and the... Yeah?" Don't ask.

One and a half beers so far and nothing happening.
This place sure is boring.
