Storm frowned.

"Your putting words in my mouth and then twisting them."

((I like being bait. More people to get pissed off.))

Kibo: That's how I got out of Port Lotalia. Twisting words is the best way to find loopholes, and loopholes are quite helpful when captured. Now, are we to burn this or not?

"Your the senior commander, 'tis your call. Save a couple of live ones for my thralls, if you'd please."

Kibo sighs, and snaps his fingers of the other hand.

Kibo: Fine.

Screams are heard from the Portuguese ship, and glowing figures can be seen. Several moments later, four of the figures sprout wings, and fly back towards the Dagger, each carrying 3 men. They drop them to the deck, and disappear.

Kibo: Enough for you? If not, I'll raise the crew members later.

Kibo launches the fireball he had been holding. It hits the opposing ship, and unleashes a large explosion, that takes out both masts, and a large chunk of the side of the ship.

Kibo: There. That ship has about 40 seconds before it completely falls below the waterline. Feel free to take whatever angers you have out on that target for the next 40 seconds.

"Who says we only have forty seconds? Men won't drown in so short a time."

Storm pulled out a large malcholite, a shard of glass, a peice of ice, and some sort of meat. She whispered something to the glass and tossed it with all her strength towards the floundering ship. It bounced against the deck. A second later the entire upper deck and anything touching it directly turned to glass.

Storm slide her nail across the opposite palm, drawing blood. She squeezed some onto the bit of meat. She snapped her fingers, and held the wizard's flame under the meat until it was black and burnt. She stuck the stone into the flesh, made a few mystical passes with her hands holding the odd combination of malcholite and burnt meat. The little ball flew from her hands towards the poor ship and exploded into black lightning shattering the glass within range and living men alike.

Playing with the piece of ice, which was strangely not melting, Storm eyed the fruits of her quick labors. She slid the ice back into the pouch she pulled it from, shaking her head. The slaves standing behind her watched former crew members be slaughtered like so much cattle.

"So we should grant them a bite of mercy. 'Tis only the polite thing to do."

Kibo: I meant to destroy the ship, but whatever. Kibo unsheathes his blade, and holds it to the first man's throat.

Kibo: You can join my crew alive and willing, or dead and forced. Which'll it be?

The man shook for a few moments, before steeling up, and spitting in Kibo's face.

Kibo: *sigh* Fine then.

He snaps his fingers, and the man's eyes open wide, and his body drops, leaving his spirit floating there. Two spirits come abovedecks, and drag the man's spirit belowdecks. Kibo chuckles as he hears a man further along in the line whisper, "beelzebul."

Kibo: Storm, would you like to continue, or would you rather have me?

Storm walked up to the man dare to say something. The tip of her dirk traced the dark blue spiderwebs in the man's neck.

"Mortality is such a...funny term, wouldn't you agree, Admerial? Such a fragail word for such a fragail creature, such as humans. Do you know what it means? Honestly and truely, from your bones to your balls?"

She leaned forward and whispered in his ear.

"It means inevitability, m'lord. Your death is inevitable."

Storm pushed on her dirk and shoved it into the man's throat. She supported his weight for a few seconds to watch the light in the man's eyes fade before letting him drop too, to the deck. She stepped back again, scoffing.

"Your all just a weak lot and should be proud to serve Kibo. As far as devils go, he's pretty decent."

She'd said the last jokingly.

"And yet you openly scorn and fear such power as his? You are not fit to serve a rodent, much less a princess or this pair of lords."

Storm turned to Kibo.

"I'd hoped for a riper harevest, but alas, it seems not to be. I say sell them to the slave trade or kill them."

Kibo walks past Storm, whispering quietly in her ear.

Kibo: Time for some fun...

He pulls out his second sword, and resheathes his first in the second's sheath. He then walks up to a nearby captive, lifting his shaking head with his sword, before letting it fall again, and resheathing the blade in the opposite sheath. His wings appear, and he snaps his fingers, making several spirits appear. They fly around his head rapidly, and their color changes from white to a dark purple. His shirt becomes blood red, and his pants, black. Horns appear to grom from his head, his eyes glow red, and his canine teeth elongate.

Kibo: *in a raspy voice* So, which one of you is first?!

He pulls out his third blade, and stabs it into the deck. A spirit floats down into the blade, and it's shape changes into that of a large scythe. Kibo hangs from one side, grinning maniacally.

Kibo: My blade is hungry! Which one of you will man up and face me?!

One man out of the group stands. Kibo snaps his fingers, and his ropes loosen, and a sword appears in front of him. The man warily picks it up, and runs at Kibo. Kibo chuckles, unarming him with a single twist of his hand, and pulling the large scythe from the ground, holding the tip of the blade to the man's throat.

Kibo: You're heart is strong, but your prowess is weak. Luckily, however, prowess is something that can be taught. Bravery is in the heart.

In an instant, all the spirits had disappeared, and Kibo had returned to normal, although still holding the scythe.

Kibo: You've saved the rest of your comrades a cruel fate.

Kibo crosses his blade, and holds the scythe into the air. It changes back to a sword, and he stabs it into the deck. The two men he and Storm had killed reappear, first as spirits, but then as living people.

Kibo: I say we drop them off at the next port. We'll take their money, weapons, and clothes, and leave them there with just their dignity, although I'm not sure how long that'll last. In the meantime, Erlkonig!

A spirit looks up.

Kibo: Take these men into the brig. Hold them there until we make port.

Erlkonig salutes, and takes the men belowdecks. Kibo shrugs at Storm.

Kibo: What can I say? I'm too soft.

Storm shook her head, discusted.

"You are too soft. These are strong men; we could get a fortune if we sold them to the French. But, as you wish. I'll go see to them."

So saying, she turned and went below decks after the captives.

Kibo: Fine. It's still your ship. If you want to sell them, go ahead. Just leave me out of it.

Storm came back up on deck an hour or so later. She looked slightly disheveled and had a rosy glow to her cheeks.

"You know those two men you raised? They've gone quite mad. Apparently it was a very traumatic experience. The rest of them are a little better. Beside themselves with fear, really. But other wise in better shape."

She said half to herself,

"I think I might keep them after all. One or two are handsome, in a rough sort of way and the others know how to grovel well. Maybe I'll give them to my little brother as gifts. He'd like that."

She snapped back to attention.

"Sorry, babbling to myself there. Anyway, this is my ship but these are your prisoners. They are your to deal with, no matter my simple fanasties."

Kibo chuckles to himself.

Kibo: Isn't it you who said, "Save a couple of live ones for my thralls, if you'd please?" I may have captured them, but they're under your jurisdiction. Had it been up to me, I'd have killed them all on the ship.

Storm bowed in difference to him.

"My thanks and my brother's as well. The pair of raised sailors, you might as well just kill again. They'll be of no use to anyone, anytime soon."

Kibo: Alrighty then.

Kibo points to two spirits, points belowdecks, and points to his sword. The spirits nod, and run belowdecks. Several moments later, two screams erupt up the stairs. The spirits come back abovedecks, and resume their previous jobs.

Kibo: There, done.

Storm grinned, bareing her slightly pointed teeth.

"Looks like we don't have to eat fish tonight. Lovely fresh meat, just waiting to be spiced, and cooked."
