Chloe followed along behind him, Aki trotting along, sorely tempted to knock Gin'iro's bottle down, but somehow managing to quell the urge to do so for the time being. Instead he dashed off to explore every once in a while, meeting back up with the trainers farther down the streets once he got bored with whatever he had been looking at.
"I swear, you must have ADD or something," Chloe muttered with a grin, scratching the Jolteon behind his ears as he prepared to dash off yet again.
The two trainers had made it to the edge of Mauville without much incident.

D= He was all "Zomg I've been stabbed straight through me five times, but I still have enough strength to stab you through your faceplate!" so you think he's gonna fight through it, but he then stumbles, and pulls one of the swords from his gut. Then he just kinda collapsed against one of the pillars, and talks to Luke through their connection, saying the rest was up to him, and kicks the bucket. >,< I was about yelling at the tv at that part. Why do the awesome characters have to die?}}
Aki was chasing after the duo, as Chloe continued deeper into the desert behind Brayden. The swirling sands were a bit of a nuisance, and she knew she'd be shaking sand from her boots for weeks, but she continued onward. Shielding her eyes, she shouted up to Brayden, "So where would you like to head, oh fearless leader?"

{{Because he was saving Luke's butt, why else would he? D= The both of them fell down a pit, and there was a door. One person could open it, but one person had to stay to keep it open. Luke demands that Asch go because he's the original, he deserves to live. Asch of course has to be all macho and claim that Luke doesn't know what he's talking about, and doesn't know anything. You then fight against Asch, and when you win, he gives you his half of the Key of Lorelai, and demands Luke leave. You do, just as a group of replica soldiers are storming in. Asch is left there without a weapon, since he gave you the Key, but insists that he'll just take one from an enemy. Piercing doom ensues, but Luke isn't there to witness it. I so wanted to empty my inventory onto Asch instead so that he'd at least have something to fight with, even if it was Jade's Deck Brush. XD}}
"Sounds like a plan to me," Chloe grinned, following along behind Brayden as they made their way closer to the ruins that towered above them. "Hopefully nothing else weird's taken up refuge here," she muttered.

{{That was again thanks to Asch. Instead of casting a healing spell on himself, he gives the rest of his strength to Luke in a horribly sad movie scene. I honestly thought Luke was about to cry when he realized what was happening. The group was all topsoil, so none of the others knew about Asch dying, and Luke was behind them, so they didn't notice Asch's energy around him, or him stopping when he heard Asch's last message. I'll have to dig up that video on Youtube or something.}}
