AS the creature's body loosened up Reik stared and started moving back, the tailn dragging the blade, gone between her leg and scraping it against the floor.

The assassin shrugged, and turned outside. "Call me if you need me, I'm going to go kiss the woman I love." He paused. "On second thought, if you need me, go find another vampire..." Duellist walked down the hallway, heading for Taryn.

Taryn Edwards Taryn sighed, for some reason she didn't feel like arguing. 'Just this once...' she responded, and slipped back into her rooms, grabbing a small bag of something before willing herself back to the carousel. Perhaps she'd amuse herself by poking through Duellist's belongings... Or not, because she was gone. "Well..." He sighed, and leaned against the wall. 'God, I love her... if only she wouldn't rush to obey so quickly...' He briefly thought if it was his fault. Then he shook his head. "Nope, I'm perfect in every way..." He faded out of sight. ~~ He faded back into sight, directly behind Taryn, and put his arms around her waist before kissing the back of her head.

The lumbering terror stuck it's hand out to Reik and she began sweating. It picked a leg up of the ground and vanished. Next thing, Reik vanished as well. But the the wall was dented and the creature appeared, shrieking in pain but ready to attack. and attack It did, lunging at Reik whilst she pounce on it. She'd landed on it's side and her tail began furiously belting it with the scythe, while she furiously clawed at it and began ripping into it. Before it was over, Reik's tail'd coordinated a scorpionlike attack with the scythe, centering around the area where she was Tearing plugs from the creature. The nearly slain being tore her off of it and held it's side. It thrw her against a wall and there she lay seemingly unconcious.

Taryn smiled, leaning back against Duellist. It was so nice to be in his presence... Something about him balanced her, kept her in check. She'd not lost time since before the night she stopped the sacrifice. Moving fluidly, she spins around in his arms, and leans up to kiss the tip of his nose. There was a mischievous smile on her face. "Evening, love..."
