Only the three number bonus this time. Oh well. Can't win 'em all. Hikaru nodded, convinced that this was just a momentary setback, gathered up the dolls, and plodded onward. This was a day for winning!

Plunk, went the single doll into the van. Hikaru watched the BONUS light, but it didn't light up this time. After breaking even again, she pushed the five tokens back across the counter, determined to get back the few coins she'd lost the last time.

Bleeeeeeh. Even worse this time. Hikaru barely managed to put the dolls anywhere near the van at all, and her only consolation was the BONUS light for the number bonus. Gathering up her three tokens, she paid for another game, still determined to duplicate her earlier wins.

There! That was more like it! Hikaru landed two of the dolls in the van this time, and managed to get a three-token bonus as well. Thirteen tokens were her reward, and she nodded, satisfied, as she paid for her next game.

Woohoo! The same result as last time! Today was shaping up to be a pretty good day, all things considered. Hikaru eagerly grabbed up her latest 13-token reward, paying for another game and tossing the dolls back at the van once again.

Only one of the dolls made it into the van this time, but the BONUS light indicated a four-token bonus for Hikaru, so she actually managed to make a few tokens back on this latest play. Smiling, she pushed her winnings back across the counter for her second to last try of the day.

Yessss! Two in again! Hikaru grinned from ear to ear as another ten tokens came sliding her way, sliding half of them straight on back to take her last try of the day. Nodding and sending up a short little prayer for victory, she tossed the dolls at the van one last time.

"AWESOME!" Hikaru yelled as she saw three of the dolls land squarely in the van. The BONUS light matched her enthusiasm, flashing to indicate a three-token bonus. Grinning widely, and clearly very satisfied with the day's winnings, Hikaru gathered up her tokens and excitedly ran off.

Verin walked up to the van game once more, thinking. He was definitely going to try again. He had gotten so close to breaking one-hundred tokens, much to Orthae's chagrin. Looks like he had the luck in the family. Orthae was off enjoying himself elsewhere, so Verin busied himself with the games.
Day 5, Play 1: Verin placed five tokens on the counter and picked up the four strange figurines. He wished himself the best of luck, hopefully than the previous times, and readied himself. The van popped up and moved back and fourth. After waiting a moment, Verin threw the figurines at the van.

Rivera didn't really need to be guided, but she leant against Kira all the same. She felt comforted that way, she knew that there was someone there for her whenever she needed the support. She wasn't entirely blind like she had been right after the fight with Kestrel. The hazy blobs of moving color helped her define what was in her way and what wasn't. An unfamiliar voice reached her ears and she turned, trying to look into what she thought was the person's face. By the wavelength of the voice and a few written descriptions, she determined that the speaker was the librarian.
"Here are your tickets, please enjoy."
Rivera thanked her and took the tickets, nearly missing them. Her hand went up to her necklace, the one Kira gave to her on her birthday. The silver glistened while the pearl shone with phosphorent light. It held part of his personal aural core, passed onto it when he gave it to her. While she wore this necklace, she could see Kira as clearly as ever, and Kai as well, because she was wearing the dragonhilt key as well. Their auras made it much easier for her to see them even when her eyes were disabled.

"Alright... There's three games... The cheapest is some kind of web shooting game..." Kira said quietly to Rivera. He had already gotten a few tokens in advance and had earned up to forty-one tokens. "There's another which isn't too expensive or too cheap... Something where you throw these dolls into a van... And something with a girl and a bear... Most expensive..." He said quietly. "Which one would you rather first?" He asked.

Shoot the Web!
Rivera thought for a moment... "I suppose... Shoot the web..." She lifted the web shooter. It was a little cold, reminding her a little of an unfamiliar gun. With her perception off, she had to line herself up with the fencing to figure out the direction of the targets. She could barely make out some lighter spots in the haze that she supposed were the targets. Rivera wasn't entirely sure at all... "I think I can see them a little..." Her hands were practiced and she shot evenly. It was like a gun... without much of a recoil. She would have to becareful not to over do it.
