Selma shrugged and nodded, heading towards the table, Susan still on one hip. She tried to keep her footsteps as soft as possible as she approached. Once there, she waited for Tali's cue to lift the cloth and see if there was someone inside.

Tali reached the table just as Selma got to the other side. Raising his hand he counted to three on his fingers then lifted the cloth suddenly, ducking down to check under the table.
Nothing but a large dark space stared back at him, and Tali dropped the cloth quickly. With a sigh of dissapointment he stared around the basement some more. There were trunks and boxes and a wardrobe and curtains and, Tali shuddered thinking about it, under the stairs. "Where next.." he muttered softly.

Selma lifted the other side the same time as Tali and was dissapointed as well to find nothing by empty space. She let go of the cloth and looked around the room, trying to decide where the others might have hidden, as well as listening for any noises that might give them away. She nudged Tali and pointed at the trunks, as if to say. "Want to check those?"

Parmida tensed as she heard Tali come down the stairs. Was that a second set of footsteps? Who was with him? They weren't also looking, were they? No fair then if they were! She twitched then stilled herself. It wouldn't do if Tali heard her here; she had nowhere else to hide, and Tali was looking...
Manelin tried hard not to fidget on the shelf. It had already creaked everytime he moved on it before Tali came down, he'd be found if he moved again. So he stayed put and hoped Tali wasn't right on the other side of the curtains...

Tali nodded silently, heading to the first trunk large enough to hold someone. He nodded at Selma grabbing one end of the lid.

Selma mouthed, "One, two, three..." before throwing up the lid of the trunk and looking inside. Searching the trunk, it seemed to be full of metal of some kind, and there was no room for someone to be hiding in there. Giving an "oh well" look to Tali, she moved on to the next trunk.

Edmund shifted in the last trunk, biting his lip as he felt something digging into his back. It was 'sposed to be all soft things in here! No fair!
Then the little boy heard footsteps, and the creaking of one of the other lids. Burrowing deeper into the robes, he curled up tighter, trying not to make any noise.

Vincent wandered around the complex, yawning. Such a rainy day, he couldn't go out, but the lighting was wonderful and he could hear thunder in the distance. A storm was coming. He stopped at the entrance to the basement; what was it doing open? He listened a moment then quietly closed the door, turning the key. I wouldn't do to have any of the toddlers to crawl in there. He had a sudden flutter in his stomach when the thought that perhaps someone was already down there but he didn't hear anything... perhaps he'd check later. He yawned again, he was certainly hungry and he needed to practice. Where was everyone? He could definately do with a fight to ease his boredom. That night, was that practice? Tali seemed to have the upper hand until... He caught the sent of pie and headed that way. It smelled like rasberry and he always loved rasberry pie.

Niki almost sat up and glared at Tali when he made the comment that she couldn't keep quiet. Well, she'd just keep very quiet this time and show him that she could! Though she wondered who he was talking to, having only barely heard Selma's voice and couldn't make out who it was. Though she could hear various noises as the two searchers looked for the hiders.

Taliesin followed Selma to the last trunk. "Ready?" he whispered to the girl. Gently he stuck his fingers on the edges of the trunck. "One, two, three!" With a heave he flipped the trunk open.

Showing an amazing amount of restraint for a fidgety toddler, Edmund stayed absolutely still.

Selma peered into the, trunk, but stayed fairly upright so that she didn't drop Susan. She was using both hands to hold her now.
"Ugh, she's getting heavy," Selma said, shifting the toddler's weight to try and make her more comfortable to carry. Her eyes passed over the white cloth in the trunk.
"Think there's anyone in there, under all that?" she aked Tali

"Only one way to find out." Taliesin plunged his hand into the robes searching round until he met something soft and solid and warm. A wicked grin danced on his face as he adjusted his hand and started tickling the body. "Found you!" he crowed with victory.

Selma giggled as Tali started tickling the toddler inside the trunk. "There you are Edmund," she said smiling down at him. "You want some help out of there?"

Edmund hardly dared to breath as he felt the hands on the robes, and then...the toddler let out a squeal - somewhere between suprise and disappointment - as Tali tickled him. He squirmed around a bit, and then poked his head out of the white robes, pouting. At the same time, his fist curled around whatever it was that had been poking him in the back, trying to pull it 'round so he could get a look at it. At Selma's question, he continued to pout. "No." With that, he stood up, still tugging at the thing.
