I was thinking about watching that movie, but its Nicholas Cage... and for some reason, I don't like him. But I suppose I'll watch the movie for the hell of it. *shrugs*
Since it's 9/11 and all, how did you all first learn of it?
I first heard it when I was... just starting 7th grade I suppose. We were in the car listening to KIIS FM, when Rick Dees interrupted and said that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. I had thought that it was some pathetic prank until I reached school. Our class watched news for, like, the rest of the day. I can still remember the reaction on everybody's faces when we saw the towers fall. I couldn't stop crying for a long while.
My aunt was supposed to go to the WTC that day too, but thank gawd she had changed her mind that day. Like you I was just entering middle school (7th grade) when I had heard the radio broacast about the collapse of the Twin Towers on my way to school. That day itself as it followed was verrrry hectic, which wasn't good for our new school. sweatdrop The Administration had a lot of problems between deciding on whether to send the kids home or keep us there under temporary lockdown. Most of the kids were paranoid that something would strike the western states as well. But nothing happened, and for the rest of day I sat in my English class as we watched the news. Very sad event. As my Gov teacher put it today, 911 was the defining moment of our generation.
Anyway, I remember just eating dinner or something when my mom just went "Whoa." I went to check it out and there it was on CNN Live - the WTC crashing down.
Next day I went to school and everyone was talking about it. We were all "How could this happen?" and "What if the terrorists in our country start bombing us too?" Dang scary, that week.
(But we were lucky though. They tightened security a week after 9/11. It's so tight now that the most anyone can get now is a 5-year Visa to the States. But luckily enough, my mom managed to complete our 10-year Visa requirements on 9/14. So while most people have to renew their Visas in 5 years, we don't get to renew them till 2011.)

About the 911. It's not just in America, it's also very effective in Canada too. -nods- I can't believe they had stuff on about the world trade venter on all day. Gah. That's all you kept hearing the whole day.
