Yeah, that's been the hard thing trying to juggle my hubby's switch over to nights. He actually has a LOT less stress and more time to do his online classes, but Logan just doesn't get to see him as much.

My husband liked working nights better too. It somehow led to us spending more time together. He was less tired when he got home, because the base isn't busy at night and there seems to be a lot less for a patrolman to do.

crying Alex is leaving sunday for school in, he's going to learn to work on black hawks as well as ch-47, he's gonna be gone for two months. I can't wait 'till he retires, only ahhh... 14 yrs to go, woo hoo! My poor girls are not going to be happy. Sascha just started tursting him again, after he was gone for a year of her life. I am just so bummed out about. I know you've all been there to, thanks for listening to me whine!

He was at his first school and some of the other sailors took cofidential information out of the classroom so they have everyone that was in that class on hold until the investigation is over cry

Ugh, we're sitting here on pins and needles waiting for the board to convene at the end of this month for this program through the army dh applied for. It's insane that they keep emailing and calling with "Oh we need this and this by yesterday!" Lol! It's really mindboggling seeing his name on an application for officer. I don't want to get my hopes up, but ugh I'm just so wanting this to happen for him!

I have a few questions for you guys.

Has your ob/gyn nurse ever NOT let your husband come back with you?
Does Tricare cover other ob/gyn practitioners/pay in full for them?

At my last gyn appointment, I brought my husband, but the nurse wouldn't let him come in the room with me. She said "we can't do that", when I told her that I wanted him with me.

So, I went in completely uncomfortable and without my husband.

Is there anything I can do about this?

That's pretty standard practice. They won't let you bring children in with you in the future either. sweatdrop Even for a 6 week post-partum. Anything involving OB stuff and they usually don't let anyone else in the room with you. In my experience, the only exception to this is while you're pregnant...but that could have just been my CNM.

I think it's DOD policy; not just the nurse being mean, if that's what you were wondering.

As for Tricare, depends on what sort of coverage you have: I'm assuming you're on prime for MTFs...so no, they won't cover other providers in full. You might have to completely change your coverage and then have to accept copays/certain percentages.

My Mother told me that they always let my Dad in with her. Could it be that AirForce Clinics are different than Army clinics?

Edit: I have another question. LoL
So, what happens if you are pregnant? Do they have doctors you can choose from to see you through your pregnancy?

I should call tricare tomorrow and ask a ton of my questions instead of bothering you guys. lol

When I was pregnant I saw a differant doctor everytime. I met the doctor who delivered my daughter the morning she was born. However, my sister was able to choose a midwife and stick with her. I think alot of stuff depends on the hospital or clinic as well. Where I went the changed their polices on kids and husbands. You can bring them but, kids under 5 must have another adult there to watch them. Definately talk to tricare and find out about you specific benefits.
