Giving his mind another poke, she wondered if it would be enough to bring him to the surface. If part of him was awake enough to respond, it should. If not she figured she need to dig, and for that she would have Ki'lin about to add to her own shields.

Feeling and seeing his legs lash out, flowed by a distance change in his mind confused her greatly. He must be able feel her, but she felt no recognition, no understanding. "Jaden, it's me, Myythren......are you even in there?" Reaching out, she warped a part of her consiousness over his mind, attempting to impose her presence on him, hoping he would recignise her.

They could feel something trying to provoke them..... this had happend many times.... normally it was Soulvar that attacked.... they could remember the agony in the thoughts of the last person who had tried to attack them.... This time was different.... all of them latched on to the intruder and dragged her down into the swirling Hell of memories......

The trio spun... dragging the elder down with them past swirling images of blood and screams loud enough to shatter the mind... this was their hell...
the puppy clung to Myyth like a child to it's mother... only looking for support... They were in the forest crying after being beaten... his body was almost shattered.....
The wolf clung to her waist dragging her along...... his mouth was filled with blood from a vampire that had been tracking him.... the thing had suffered....
Only the great dark thing that was Soulvar spoke... fiery red eyes glaring.... What do you wish to see b***h?.... I want you to scream... The floors were bathed in blood maimed humans cried out in the gloom of the church... a demon had entered a house of god.... one of the clergymen was impaled on the large cross at the back... pews were in ruins.... the entire place suddenly seemed to flicker and a reflection of another chapel appeared behind it... a much more recently visited chapel that Myythren should have remembered...

Myyth failed and struggled mentally for a few seconds, before relaxing a bit while she tried to try work out what was happening. She was aware of at least three very different mental personas of his, two of which seemed familiar.......the third she thought had to be Soulvar.

Trying to understand the chaotic images, she saw two churches, one that was she'd been in not moth;'s before.... the other looked like any of many, with the exception of the blood and death. Fighting back, she pulled forth other images, and forced them toward Soulvar. "A figment such as you?" Her mental snort was laden scorn.

Using the base churches he'd presented, she warped it around and superimposed it over her own images, at mass, followed by sunlight streaming through the windows. At the same time she wraped her arms around the puppy and blanketed it with the emotions she felt toward Nola, however tangleled they were.

Ki'lin watched as Myyth was sucked into Jaden's mind, she didn't stop it for the fact that it had to be done, she just didn't expect them all to welcome her like that. She spoke calmly to Silver as she knelt down next to them. "She is in his mind, there is nothing we can do but try to stir the course of which Jaden is driving, Myyth is just along for the ride."
Settling down next to Jaden she started to stroke the hair away from his face, she spoke softly to him, "Jaden, this is Ki' do you remember the first time you saw the moon? Take Myyth there, it was sooo beautiful, she would like it very much."

Myyth smiled up at the moon, sharing in Soulvar's memory and the happinesses he'd felt. Digging deep she unearth a memory of her own, and passed it toward the puppy. It was an old one, and a dawn rather than a moon. It showed tundra and snow, with the sun just peaking over the horizon. But what she wanted to convey even more was the feeling, the sense that came with it.

She'd been utterly content, basking in the new sun with Peter at her side, a caribou off behind them that they'd taken down the night before. In that moment her world seemed as calm and safe as she'd ever known.

And that was what she was trying to impress on Jaden, to try and draw him out again, to show him that all was not so bad as it had been or could be. That she and the pack were here for him.
