Arishi Zasar brightened considerably at the comment. A waste of talent, his talent! Oh, if he could run a ship again! Sail the seas, shouting commands, raiding, pillaging, and when he got his hands on it, sitting back with his feet up, and a nice bottle of fine wine. A little different from the harsher of drinks availably consumed on a daily basis. The captain inhaled deeply and breathed out in a long sigh, keeping his lips curled up in the brightest of wild grins. “Ai! You can smell theh salt. Every day. An’ when you geh used teh it, land juss smells like fresh wa’er.” He paused to mull over this discovery. “I dunno why, really. Juss theh lack’ve salt n’ theh air. Guess ih smells like rain.” Mercy smiled slightly but wiped it away, "As much as it rains, I still enjoy it. The smell of it not so much the feel but the music it makes." She sighed softly at the thought of enjoying the rain like she once did. "Oh look at that red light ahead, it's blinking the code for made-drinks and food," she shivered as she watched the blinked the code.
"Hopefully something warm that we can enjoy, as I am rather hungry," she grinned over at the captain. "I would like to be on a ship one day, but who knows might get sea sick."

Annie only raised her eyebrows at the doctor's peculiar way of handling the objects she gave him, thinking it better not to ask him about it. She produced another handkerchief from her pocket, thankful that it was still dry, and made her way towards Yami. She knelt by the other girl's side and began drying off her face, neck, and hair, hoping to prevent her from getting a chill. "If you want to change," Annie said to Hikari, determinedly not looking at the girl, "There are some towels and robes the chefs use in the bathroom, just behind the counter. Or, if you prefer keeping your clothes on, you can just sit there." She finished drying off Yami and sat back, waving good-bye to Larry with a pang of regret. He seemed to be the only one in the room with any sense.
"Do you need anything else? Food, something to drink, bandaging?" Annie examined Yami again, then stood up shakily. "I mean, she doesn't look like she's hurt, but sometimes you can't tell until you get a better look at her body."

He snapped back to attention however, when Mercy indicated the light. “So there is,” he responded, once again fixing his hat. “Mm, warm food--you can come n’ see me beauty!” he interrupted himself and returned his attention to Mercy. “‘Tis in harbour still, since I can’t be goin’ nowheres with it.”

She had bit her tongue with the comment wondering who would hear her slander. "So get rather angry at the whole situation at times," she hissed.
The door was woren and looked to have been used as some kind of torture device. She took her strap out and used the handle to knock on the door, "I'd rather not get my hands dirtier then they already are," she commented to Zasar, "Hope they don't need a password."

Hikari sat staring at Annie and her sister for a moment and her heart lurched. She tried to take in what Annie was saying but as the woman spoke, the words in her mind went another way. She closed her eyes for a moment and swallowed before opening them again.
Her nose tickled and she could already feel a sneeze coming on. It made sense to change, good honest sense. It wouldnt do anyone good if she got sick herself, but she didnt want to leave Yami with Severin.
She cast her eyes backwards to the doctor before sighing and looking at her dress, her fingers moving to the ring. "Thank you Annie. She tried her hardest to keep the quiver out of her voice and as she ended the statement a tiny sneeze escaped her.
She had orignally been planning on telling her 'thanks but no thanks' but the sneeze changed her mind instantly. She rose to her feet before giving the woman a small smile "Y-your a real good...person...you know?" it was barely above a whisper, and she wasnt sure the woman heard it, but with that she turned on her heels to head to the direction she figured was the bathroom.
She dried and changed into a thick red robe as quickly as she could and ran out of teh bathroom while securing the sash as tight as she could before kneeling back at the womans side.
"I'm...not entirly sure whats the matter...I was...hoping Severin could tell us...and go from there..." She had been so worried about changing and getting back to Annie and her sister she had failed to notice the other gentleman was gone

Akai_Sora Emi stopped walking and slowly raised her head up and looked around, she was still in the Lost district but it was still raining, as she herself was completly drenched. She lowered her head and continued to walk, after a couple of steps she stumbled but regained her step and stood there for a moment before she walked over to a building and sat down next to the wall.
She then looked at both of her hands, moving them every so often till she lowered them, she then looked at the ground for a moment before she closed here eyes. Letting herself continue to be drenched by the rain, and trying to compress her past and the pain inside herself. Nekura had come to a stop, his mask slipping off of his face. He grabbed it and quickly put it away inside his coat as he looked at this woman who was seated upon the ground before him. He frowned slightly and gave a sigh before he suddenly sat down across from Emi.
He looked at her from beneath drenched bangs for a bit before he spoke, "...pulling away from everything to try and deal with your pain only makes it worse...sometimes you need someone else to help find comfort." He said softly to Emi. His voice was kind, caring and melodic. It was different from how he spoke not long ago to Grondax.

Grondax Smith bowed and looked to Valerius. He noticed the pin on his chest; the same that Grondax and he himself wore, and bowed to him as well. "Very well lieutenant," Smith smiled, "The harbor is not far from here. You will find yourself home before you realize it. Right this way sir."
Valerius had been totally caught offguard by all this bowing and was starting to feel rather out of place. His brain tried to recall the proper procedure for accepting this sort of thing. Oh drat. It was late at night and he had no idea.
Noting the general's weak smile, Valerius suddenly was hit with the realization that his superior was tired out. No doubt all the galavanting about Wynander had done it. He mentally rebuked himself for not recognizing it earlier. After all, just as Grondax had said, a good soldier needed to trust and attend to the needs of his commander. And clearly what the commader needed was rest.
Valerius smiled, a rarer sight, one much different from the serious countenance he usually portrayed. "Glad to see that we have the same view on that, sir." This abated Valerius' fears slightly. He'd still always have the trademark paranoia; that had been engrained into him. However...maybe now he could put those apprehensions aside and concentrate on more important things. Like saving a city...and trying to read an illegible signature.
He gave Grondax a final saulte with the umbrella. "Good night then. Should you have need of me, you have merely to look to the bushes." Valerius tapped the umbrella, calling to mind his stealth training. "This has been a most fortuitous acquaintance. Until we meet again."
With that said, Valerius departed from the room, following Smith out the door, down the stairs, and through the elaborate hallways. He cast a fleeting glance over the manor decor before journeying out once more into the cold, rainy night.

He felt a little dirty, seeing as Mercy was as clean and concerned about remaining that way as she was. But then, he was a pirate, wasn’t he? It was how he was! Dusting his hands on his pants, he absently folded them behind his back. “I ‘ope not,” he replied.

Feyd was furious.
Frowning around a pair of nails the young man made a face at the broken window. It was a bad day. Not only did Grondax drop by but one of the storage room’s windows had been blown out. It was a mess really, glass carpeted the floor, chips of wood everywhere. Glass was expensive, replacing it wouldn’t be too pleasant.
He shouldn’t be having to fix this, he was an actor, not some measly stage hand. Speaking of hands he couldn’t afford to hurt his; hands, after all, are one of the most expressive parts of the body and essential to any performance. Still, it beat explaining that two strangers who had come seeking refuge had somehow blasted their way out of the window while his back was turned… consequently splitting a few crates on the way. That in mind Feyd squared his shoulders, lifting a hammer and nail to the splintered frame and—
Ow.
There was the reason he wasn’t a carpenter.

In her state of mind, Yami was fighting an almost never-ending war, one that would never have been played out in the real world. As on the outside, the attempts of her sister, even the mere thought of her sibling wished her will to move and awaken every muscle of her body...while the other half, tainted by the pain and illness, prevented it from ever happening. To wake up...to forever stay in the dark prison of unconciousness...both were equally matched....who would win? And....would Yami EVER wake up? Who knew...

Either waiting for the rain to stop so she could stop remembering or for the darkness that she created when she closed her eyes to steal her soul and let her escape from everything in the past that still haunts her memories. in that darkness she saw a faint image from her past memories and then heard a voice, she quickly though for a moment...did she actually die? Was this voice the one that would lead her to where she would redeem for what sh-
Emi then though common sense and quickly stuffed all her emotions and what she was feeling inside of herself once again and slowly opened her eyes and looked at the man. She blinked a couple of times and looked at the man a little bit confused and her head slightly tilted, she quickly looked at what the man wore and his apperance "...right...so what brings you to the lost district? Your not from Lost are you?" She spoke cheerfully to the man, though with a hint of confusion.

Arishi Zasar smiled, allowing a light-hearted chuckle to escape in response to the comment, even at the expense of unwanted eavesdroppers. Reaching the door, and with Mercy’s next remark, the sea captain raised his hands enough to peer down at them suspiciously; laughing another soft chuckle as a reply. He felt a little dirty, seeing as Mercy was as clean and concerned about remaining that way as she was. But then, he was a pirate, wasn’t he? It was how he was! Dusting his hands on his pants, he absently folded them behind his back. “I ‘ope not,” he replied. Mercy smirk showed a little of her white teeth, she didn't do that often but was willing to smile just a bit at someone who would laugh at an opinion of that "government" was worth some friendly affection in some manner. She noticed his uncomfort for a moment, but did not want to embarrass him with acknowledging his uncomfort. She was taken off guard as the door didn't open but a slit on the top did.
"What da ya want?" the man's eyes were only visible and it seemed that he was in no mood for guests, but his light blinked.
Mercy grinned malicously at the man, "A strong drink and hot food, other then that to be left alone with our business, one can not do honest work out in the streets here, in Lost."
"Honest huh?" This comment had peaked the man's interest as there was no honest work in lost.
"One could assume any work is honest as long as one does not lie about what they do," she said eyeing the man. "You're light blinks of an advertisement, yes?"
The man nodded from behind the door more to himself then to the two customers outside, "You'll be wanting drink and food?" He was rather interested at both requests as one there would want the drink or the food not both, he could get good trade out of them.
"Yes, both, trade payment of course, hope you don't mind items," it wasn't really a question Mercy said to was more of a demand.
"That I do, the Missess made me put the light out, good for business as only certain folks know the blink code," he commented as if it still surprised him of this fact. Even if he had no wife, the light showed signs of use and dulling so he had it on for a long while now. "Aye, I'll let you in but you order a drink and food, as business is welcome but honest work doesn't exist anymore even with good works," the man said as he opened the door.
"Thank you, Zasar, we're in luck they have food and drink, let us be merry with companion of each other and talk of the honest times," Mercy commented as they were lead in.

Nekura shook his head, "No, I'm from Kensington. I came to Lost because I could not find what I was looking for there and came across you." He looked her in the eyes. His eyes spoke of how he did not believe her smile as the searched hers.
"...And my comment stands, humans need others to help us not be consumed by darkness of pain. I could see it plain as day upon your face when I arrived." He said to Emi, his voice every quiet, ever soft. He sat back and just watched Emi at this point. Waiting for her reaction to his words.

Emi stood up and looked up at the rain for a quick moment, her left hand in her left jacket pocket and her other hand playing with the large zipper on her jacket "Knew you were not from here, so then! What are you looking for in Lost?" She smiled at the man and cheerfully spoke, quickly changing the subject to what he was looking for rather than something that would involve her speaking about the past or emotions.

Nekura stood up and chuckled, fine, she didn't want to talk about her past or her emotions. He nodded his head to Emi, "Books on medicine. They wouldn't be easy to find of course so finding a book shop that deals in rare books." he responded to her.
