Just checking in while I can...
No, I've never heard of or watched XIN. The Marvel Civil war thing I have heard of, but I'm a bit to scared to jump into. Marvel/X-Men comics scare me sometimes, which is probably why I stick to Evo... whee

Well, it's just that so much is always going on that I don't know where to start. Ya know, even if it's the same storyline, there are the differant unverses, crossovers flashbacks and differant teams. I just get confused easily.
The only comics I read on a semi-regular basis are Ultimate, New X-Men Academy X and whatever Batman comics my Dad buys.
So, I'm not saying they're bad, they just intimidate me a bit.

That is the good thing about ultimate: they stick to the basics. I just want to read marvel civil war because t is supposed to have all of the main comics in one. (Wolverine ius supposedly a merecnarie again though)

You do realise that you've just left yourself open for dozens of horrible comments, most of which involving the terms "kinky" or "bondage".

Blah... Ultimate X-Men has so much continuity now that it's become the very thing it was supposed to eliminate. They should have relegated it to mini series after Millar left.
By contrast, Uncanny X-Men and regular X-Men are amazing right now. Uncanny by Ed Brubaker (who, as far as I'm concerned, is the single best writer in the business at the moment) is doing some things with more obscure characters which I always love, and X-Men by Mark Carey has this very strange and surreal sci-fi thing going on that I really like, plus its a team that not only has obscure characters but flat out shocking ones like Sabretooth and Mystique. Even better: No goddamn Civil War tie-ins to have to read ^_^
I think that all X-Men fans should pick up X-Men: Deadly Genesis in trade now, it should be present in any comic book store or bookstore with a graphic novel section. SO good and it really changes everything you thought you knew about the X-Men... it actually made me start reading again smile
