With the wraiths gone, they were finally out of the clear... or so he'd hoped.
That hope lasted barely a minute before the rocks began to fall, tumbling down and shattering into pebbles that shot out in every direction. People were getting pelted, some were tumbling off over the side as a result of the dings and smacks while others hunkered down and tried to defend themselves from the falling sky above them.
His tail rose and the shirtless catman used his body as a shield for the smaller human girl beneath him. The long, bushy appendage lifted itself in attempts to form an umbrella of sorts, gangly arms encircling around the young lady as he did his best to protect both himself and his new companion.
A rock smacked his ear and he tucked his head in deeper. He opened his mouth to say something - something sarcastic, something reassuring, he didn't even know, himself - but words evaporated into thin air as the ground beneath them crumbled, sending them down into the abyss below.

Lysithea bit back a retort for the youma, but counted on the reassuring words from Malus to keep her going, she made it a few steps before letting out a shriek as shards of glass started flying out of nowhere, slicing a few cuts into her arms and causing her to take a misstep, letting out another yell as she stumbled off the crumbling platform.
Damnit.
Damnit. Damnit. Damnit. If Airi didn’t protect Evan…she would ******** haunt the youma from whatever afterlife she was about to go and meet.
"Punch?? I don't punch things - I became a lawyer to SUE people who punch things!"
There was a frantic tone to his voice as he struggled to hang on to the thrashing man. He would let the angry man do all of the punching - he could punch things to his heart's delight, if it ended up protecting Rob as a side effect - but it appeared to wear the teen out to swing nearly as much as it did himself to hold onto him.
The ghosts spooked off - did the punching actually work?
No, Rob realized to his horror... this was like a scene in one of those Jurassic Park movies, where the little angry dinosaurs screwed off only because something bigger, something worse was on its way instead.
That figurative tyrannosaurus came in the form of falling rocks, showering down on top of them and all of the people in the nearby vicinity. Screams filled the air, Rob's own voice contributing a startled yell until a particularly heavy rock managed to knock the wind from his lungs as it crashed into his backside. He'd have fallen completely forward had the sheer weight of Kavinsky not kept him standing up, so Rob ended up groaning in agony as he worked to straighten himself again.
Rocks and stones continued to fall, striking any and everything they could in their paths. He felt his shoulders taken a fair number of them, his cheek became victim to a wayward edge and as he stumbled about and his naked feet found themselves cut up from the scattered debris on the ground.
As if matters couldn't get worse, the final crumble that shook the ground they stood on was all he needed to know to realize that this was it.
This was the end.
He'd heard the expression, life flashing before your eyes when you reached that moment of facing death itself. The memories that jogged to mind were insignificant at best. Trivial, even. The thoughts that passed through his mind only amplified the sad, sad fact that despite having been around for over three decades, Robert Banks had nothing to his name worth remembering.
Worse... the realization that, soon after his disappearance was discovered... that no one would care. No one might even notice that he was gone. Not even his fat, worthless cat.
Somber thoughts fled as the ground finally caved, the solid surface that held them up giving way into empty air. Hands twisted their way around Kavinsky's shirt, the older man clinging tightly to his unwilling companion as he took a deep breath and prayed his last rites.

"Hehe... So you mean you're old as ********... Kudos to you for making it this far old man!" Despite the straining situation, he managed to find the briefest moment of humor. That was until rocks began to tumble on them. A few got him good, leaving bruises and bumps all over his thin frame, but he did his best to protect himself and Zach. <******** hell... Zach are you alr---AH!"
It was over, his heal caught one crack too many, his weight shifted just a little too much, and a crack that felt like a stamp on his death sentence rang so loudly that for a moment, he thought he went deaf. A flash of his small team, Zach, Oort, Skadi, Oberon... Even Vi crossed his mind and he so badly wanted to take back what he said, how he pushed them away because now there was no way to keep them safe...
In a last moment of helplessness, he reached out towards Oberon, stretching, hoping he could reach the boy he loved so dearly and protect him one last time. But he could not. Only a blood curdling scream left his throat as the ground crumbled under his feet and he fell.
"OBERON!!" Soon, his voice disappeared into the abyss and there was no trace left of Chara.

Kavinsky (-1)
Things went from bad to worse and he didn't know how it was even possible. Then again, Kavinsky was used to drawing the short straw on things; that had been his entire life up until that very moment.
K couldn't even expect or think that things could have been different. Life, it seemed, had it out for him regardless of how hard he worked and how much he strived to be or to do better.
Maybe this was the hand of cards he'd been dealt and there was no discarding or replacing any of them.
He was doomed to be stuck in this miserable place in life and if he was going to die it wasn't even with his best friend but this stupid lawyer he didn't even like and barely tolerated and yet, when clung to him Kavinsky didn't shove him off like he might of in a normal situation. Instead, in a rare moment of weakness Kavinsky clung back.
Things just continued to worsen and Jane didn't know how much more she could handle. A shard cut into her arm and something hit the back of her legs and she fell onto the path. There wasn't much time to scramble out of the way and she took a few more beatings before the pathway crumbled beneath her and she was lost.
He didn't have an umbrella, so he wasn't sure what exactly managed to help keep him from being sliced to ribbons by the falling shards. He tried to cover his head and neck, only to feel the backs of his hands sliced, and his body battered as though he were being pummeled in a furious gauntlet, and he knew there would be black and blue even where the wool wrap and such of his uniform helped prevent worse cuts. Worse, it made him stumble on an already treacherous path, and he put a foot down and nothing met it.
He let out a terrified yell, and plunged into darkness, grabbing fruitlessly for the crumbling path.
Quote:
Huge chunks of mirror are falling like meteors and crashing into the pathways. You need to do what you can to survive and worry about the rest, later! Roll one ten-sided dice to determine how your character progresses!
4-7: While you are hit with falling debris, you realize you have gotten fairly lucky. You manage to escape without more than a bruise or scratch (unless you choose to take more damage), though the ground still crumbles beneath you. You are thrown off balance and topple towards the blackness below.
All at once the wraiths seemed to scatter and for one brief moment Denebola relaxed. Maybe the worst was over and the end of the tunnel--
Things began to fall from above and the super senshi only had a moment to attempt to react and it wasn't fast enough.
First, she looked for those she knew hoping that she could get to them in time before the pathway gave out. If she managed, maybe they could stay together.
She failed.
Second, Denebola made an attempt to dodge the debris as they crashed into the path around her. She was mildly successful until something smack her hard enough to tear her fuku and throw her from the path and she fell into the darkness.
Themisto: 28 (5 + 3 + 2 + 8 + 8 )Straight and narrow, strong wind, wtf are wraiths whyyyyyy, dodging but still fail [X]
Themisto was having his energy pulled from him, cursing the mirrorwalkers for putting them all through this. He wondered if Ptolemaeus was lying to him and his sister the whole time, pretending to be neutral and only out for his own survival. The ceiling, or whatever was above them, started shattering and falling upon all of them.
Oh, the screaming...
...the screaming...
He would be haunted if he lived through this, and Themisto very much doubted he would live.
When the floor gave way, he saw a flash of orange hair - Denebola. Even if this was their last moment and he was beyond exhausted, he managed to sail close enough to her to hold her, trying to shield his mentor with his back in case there was ground somewhere down there. Maybe she would live.
The cat's cries were drowned out by the crush of people screaming and the explosions of falling glass. Itsuki was bombarded by smaller, golf ball-sized blunt chunks of glass before slipping from Sharatan's grasp, falling into the blackness below.
--
Kallichore: 34 (5 + 11 + 3 + 12 + 3)Downstairs, strong wind, inspired by Scylla, eff mirror wraiths liek srsly, fall off dat trail [X]
It seemed as though the end was nigh. Despite Kallichore's best efforts to keep up with Scylla, her body was sliced in places by falling glass. Her fuku covered her arms, which offered some protection, but she was well shredded by the time the ground gave way. The only thing the eternal could think of as her feet dropped from beneath her was to let go of her grip on Scylla. She couldn't bring her fellow down with her. The sight of the Kraken Senshi grew smaller as Kallichore fell away, consciousness fading into the smoky blackness.
The ghosts whirling around them didn't seem to phase Sutai as much as they probably should have. In her grief, perhaps she was protected somewhat from the horror. The sounds of people falling and screaming around her were deadened by the sound of her heartbeat in her ears. She moved merely by instinct, being pushed and shoved by the people around her. Even as debris started to fall from the sky, she couldn't quite see it through the tears. The Squire traveled just a few more feet until she couldn't feel the ground anymore, falling and screaming into the darkness.
1-3: You aren’t fast enough to escape some debris; the falling pieces are strong enough to pelt you like small rocks, causing bruises. Some larger pieces have the ability to slice or cut, but damage is up to the player! You wind up slowed down by the falling debris and tumble off the path as the ground crumbles beneath you. 4-7: While you are hit with falling debris, you realize you have gotten fairly lucky. You manage to escape without more than a bruise or scratch (unless you choose to take more damage), though the ground still crumbles beneath you. You are thrown off balance and topple towards the blackness below. 8 or higher: You manage to avoid the falling debris (unless you choose to take any damage), though the ground below you has splinted and crumbles beneath you. You manage to keep your balance, but still fall downwards.

Corrupt Super Sailor Hydra (+1)
Maybe it was the thoughts and desire to get back home to where her father and her cat and her boyfriend were waiting for motivated Hydra enough to avoid the danger as it fell from above but still she fell when the ground gave out beneath her and her hand was outstretched, reaching for safety she knew did not exist.
Now, all she could do was hope that she survived to be able to go home.
Hopeite was falling, suddenly, but to where was a mystery. This wasn't like normal falling though. It was a little like the tumble that Alice took at the beginning of Alice in Wonderland, where she was falling at a rather leisurely pace. So it wasn't the pace of the fall that frightened her. It was the nature of it. She was just... floating. That didn't happen. Before... the world breaking, everything going to s**t -- that was pretty much a given. In the end it wasn't much different than negaspace. A little bit derelict, but generally familiar.
This was a whole new monster and Hopeite had no inclination to get to know it.

Guardian Cat Theodore
Caia's tight grip on him faltered and Theodore nearly went into a frenzied panic, trying to climb and cling to the senshi's shoulder to keep from getting separated and losing the nice boy who was trying his best to protect him.
"What's happening?" He cried, little body shivering as his nose lifted into the air. To his horror everything seemed to rain upon him at once despite Gingey's attempts to shield him.
Once, he slipped out of the super's arms and with a desperation he latched onto a leg praying that it would help him somehow. If he could climb back up the senshi's body, he would but there were shards and rocks and falling land.
Well, at least they were sorta going down together.
Imbrium of Castor - Top path, moderate wind, Kung-fu-fighting, off-balance
F-
Pythia was completely taken aback when the pieces of a mirror started falling, twisting, curling.
This magic thing? She'd been promised power and she was distinctly starting to feel she'd gotten a s**t end of the deal here. Though she supposed not everyone had an easy job of it- there were all kinds of auras in this madhouse. Ones that scared, ones that felt like fire, ones that scratched her spine like claws, and one that stood out to her above the others, that she couldn't quiet explain.
Perhaps it was that which distracted her, which enabled the falling shards to nick her, which made her twist wrong-
Perhaps she was just graceless.
Whatever the truth, Imbrium fell towards darkness.
4-7: While you are hit with falling debris, you realize you have gotten fairly lucky. You manage to escape without more than a bruise or scratch (unless you choose to take more damage), though the ground still crumbles beneath you. You are thrown off balance and topple towards the blackness below.
She was weary, drained, struggling forward desperately, when the creatures seemed to float away. And by float, something was causing them to run like the coward wraiths they were.
Oh. Look.
"The sky is falling," she said dumbly, and then Titanite was falling too.
+1 4-7: While you are hit with falling debris, you realize you have gotten fairly lucky. You manage to escape without more than a bruise or scratch (unless you choose to take more damage), though the ground still crumbles beneath you. You are thrown off balance and topple towards the blackness below.
