It was around the start of the scourge when Clementia had upped and vanished from her village, it was for no special reason she left but if it was anything it would have been the scourge its self. Taking a very progressive approach Clementia started working behind the scenes with various groups testing out methods against it as well as the many failures to get rid of it. During one such experiment she witnessed a corrupt being for the first time.
Clementia along with several other colleagues were setting up a animal subject in a air tight environment. While she set up the programs her coworkers were fixing up the vents, everything they used was made to infect their small animal subject. It had taken them 48 hours of solid work, and thousands of dollars to just have such a high quality set up. " Worker A: Vents A through E are secure." the portly man started to crawl down from a ladder just to wobble over to a glass wall giving them a full veiw of the locked off room. The others finished up their minor tasks, once down they all grouped to watch the results of their labor. Once Clementia finished up she pressed the enter key, starting up the systems the vents opened up to slowily release the scourge nro the room. They were suprised at how long it took for the initial mutations began, During the first stage Clementia took note of the symptoms that took place, no matter how small it was she wanted to find what made the subjects react the way they do. Turning back to her computer she activated the Knight type 3 drones inside the room, Two humanoid like machines with scale like exteriors and a generic like face. They seemed unnfeccted to the gas thanks to the face they wernt organic beings. One nurse took a blood sample from the sick sudject for testing, the sample was stored inside its body before it went back to its rest mode.
Twenty minutes of exposure seemed to trigger its next stage, out of nowhere the animal started to go wild causeing its restraints to loosen. Its fur started to fall out while darking its skin, The change in its phycial caused the researchers to get closser to the observation glass but Clementia sat back in her rolling chair watching from a far keeping a hawk like gaze on the changes. " Worker B: Amazing now start adding the anti bodies." the thin pale old man looked back to her waiting for her to follow his order. She never was a fan of that snarky voice of his but all of her personal feelings she turned back around and started up her second program, the vents turned off then back on releasing a new chemical in the air. They had hoped this would stop the scourge from fully infecting the subject. Clementia had her doubts but fo to budget issues the had to speed up this experiment. At first it started to heal but in reality on caused it to go dorment for a few moments, the results caused the infection to go wild deforming the beast further into a monster, at this point the retraints finally broke causeing the beast to bolt towards the glass. It smashed its head against the glass wall repeatedly cracking the glass completely. "Worker A w..What on earth quickly run!" But before the researchers could run away from the wall it completly broke sending shards everywhere, some were caught by they glass while others were swooped up by the creatures jaw. In the chaos Clementia took the back entrance to escape. She made her way through the underground passage while the massacre continued. " Ehhh such a shame another failure, to many...to many unwanted factors.." scratching the back of her head untangling her matted hair, she had to keep moving or she might get caught by that beast.
