I would have liked S4 more had I been able to play as Rakgi. I wanted Jim from Outlaw Star in my PARTY dammit! I mean he can ******** row a boat with 6 people in it, so he's obviously strong enough to fight.
WHY KONAMI. WHY DO YOU DEPRIVE ME OF AWESOME CHARACTERS LIKE SO?
WHY
After all that, I must again reinforce that I did not hate Suikoden 4. I just liked it the least of the Suikoden games(Not counting Rhapsodia). Which still means it is rated very high! I just feel it is not up to the others in total quality, mostly because of forcing the player to take those absurdly long boat trips.

YES! That's what pissed me off about Suiko 4, that damn ship. I'm gonna burn that damn ship!! They can create these crazy weapons that can destroy cities but they can't make a ship go faster?! SAIL, BIATCH, SAIL1

I know! With as many people that I had on there that ended up with Wind runes, you think I could stick 'em behind the sails or something to get a bit more speed. XP

Weren't people actually rowing the ship by hand or somesuch? I know that if you talk to one of the people in Haruto's little room, they keep saying that Tov won't row the ship, so they have to.
If that's the case, cut 'em some slack and press R1 for fast(er) speed.

Yes. Everyone with any sense knows you can press R1 for more speed. But my point is that sailing at full tilt speed is still way too ******** slow.

Yup. I have to say that after I got Viki I gave my rowing crew quite a break. XD I hardly went anywhere on boat unless I needed to find some of those moving island monsters for some quick potch.

That was the only real downer of this game in my opinion, but at least all that boat time got you encounter with monster to fight for pouch. I don't know about you guys, but that was a hard thing to keep when I was trying to level up my characters armor and their weapons. Yeah, all my funds would magically go bye bye for just trying to upgrade two to three characters, and sometimes less then that. domokun Why do you have to pay someone that is in your army just to upgrade weapons anyway?

Sailing didn't bother me much. I enjoyed making parties and switching between them. sweatdrop
Nevertheless, as my name implies, I was happy to see Viki, even if I didn't use her for warping...

I'm having some problems. I went to go play this game again, I've beat it before but wanted to play it again for the heck of it. Well I can't Snowe, and it's driving me nuts. I have all the other characters and I have yet to go to the top deck to see Ramada's bird's death scene. There aren't suppose to be any other things left for me to do to get Snowe except collect all the other characters right? I have a sickening feeling it's my PS2 though. It's been acting funny lately. On my DDR Supernova game it won't allow for two people to play in workout mode. On DDR Extreme it won't allow you to play with two people period. It hasn't reacted strangely to my FF games though. The discs don't have scratches on them either. Anyone know something that could help, because I really want to get Snowe and every time I go to get the little snippet of info that allows me to get him the stupid man asks me if I want to buy his stupid tips.

QuistisTrepe19 Didja talk to the Mordo Island guy by the trade shop? Yep, already said that. The guy who suppose to say something about someone floating out in the ocean also sells the tips and apparently that's the only thing he wants to tell me. Maybe I'm not at the right level but that wouldn't make any sense.

Hm... that is odd. The only other thing I can think of that would prevent you from getting him would be if you chose to execute him. XD

Besides, I've never had to pay for the info on Snowe the last three times I played the game. The guy just won't tell me. I'm having the sinking feeling that my PS2 is just getting old and isn't able to read my games as well as it should. crying
