 Shun FujomakiThe boy had just finished circling the downtown area for the seventh time...before finally having found his way around the ruins of the town again...And seeing a familiar large building.
"Ahhh..Junes.." he called lightly, seeing his silver haired companion once again. Blades went up into the air again as he waved, gesturing.
"I'm here for ya, Seta-Meister!" he called out, starting over to the Senior he felt a growing camaraderie with. "And Look! I packed an even better demon ally to keep an eye on you with!"
He flipped his phone towards his fellow senior, showing the icon of Metatron, and it's level. Despite this though, it was less of showing off...and more, a way of showing he was capable of sticking to his word...Of covering Seta's six.
"I haven't seen any trace of your pals..But, you know what they say. No news is good news."
If there wasn't a corpse laying around..If they weren't reported by the others, and if they weren't buried under something...Then, the chances were they were still alive, somewhere! And...while that was a bit of a deterrent for some, for Shun..
It just meant he had to keep working.
"I can help clear out some rubble if there's any. Make sure we can manuver through here. If you want, of course."
He didn't want to force the boy...Even if he wanted to help. After all, he'd hit his own goal..but, that just meant he could help everyone else at this point. All in the sake of friendship, yeah?

Minori Koroko  "Mhm...alright." It had been close, and they had no real time to think about their options or take a breather. They needed to keep moving. Always keep moving. The faster they got to the Amagai Estate and make sure his family was there or not the better. She was nervous of what they would find there...but a part of her wanted to keep her hopes high. His home was far from the town, so maybe the demons hadn't wandered all the way there? It was a far-fetched dream, but...she could only hope. And the house was big enough...there probably were many places to hide. She just wanted them to be all right...for Genji's sake.
She let him lead the way, their linked hands the only thing that kept her sane right now. "Genji... Do you think..." No, she didn't want to ask. Didn't want to get those ideas in his head. They would get there. They would find them. They would take them somewhere safe.
The blond girl kept repeating that to herself. Maybe...with enough times, it'd become true.

 Nix Gallen After the demon had fallen, Nix was rewarded with a rare respite. No more demons seemed to have arrived or lingered currently. The teenager looked up at the ruined Junes, her mind drifting to brief memories of meeting with the team. Those days would come back after this was all over right? If all the dangerous demons were defeated then perhaps it could all be put back the way it was. Nix was about to go look for a place to sit when she heard footsteps nearby. She decided to go look and found the very person she was searching for, Soji. "Soji!! You're okay!" Well no one was getting through these tough times unscathed, but he didn't seem mortally wounded or worse. The girl rushed over to him, nearly tripping on a piece of pavement but managed to catch herself. "Have you seen the others?" And it was, as the girl proved by taking out three of their members simultaneously with one punch: hitting a guy into two others with just enough force to send them all careening into a wall that crumbled over them after impact. "W-wait," One of the men started as his allies fell one by one, "G-green hair, mismatched demon eyes, and monstrous strength. Boss! This girl is the rumored beast that recently popped up - The Emerald Oni!" Sadly, the lackey's warning was too late for the apparent 'beast' had already taken care of their boss; the unconscious body of said man dropping to the ground. That name is kinda cool. Hitomi thought to herself as she made her way over to the last man standing, the very same who tripped and fell on his butt from fear. "Take your buddies and scram." That's what was separating her from the Apartment that could house the secrets of her friend. She held her phone up high, the Voice of God moving in to fell them with a simple strike of his palm...And, as she moved through the rubble...She was shocked.
There wasn't any blood..No spare parts laying around..No signs that the boy had been there in the past week. It was assuring, but at the same time..
'Where could he have gone..' she thought, seeing a single thing sticking out. A bright, colorful book...That she regretted picking up immediately."Magic Witch Detective? ....Ugh. Blech. Pass."

There wasn't much of the Ambush left to begin when when she brought out the demon...But, watching him zap them with holy-laser eye beams of death...
It was pretty evident that they weren't much threat to her, or the giant holy being. And yet...

Amagai Genji, the Investigation Team's Gentle Fist
"...You see the surface, but my eyes see more..."He didn't want to think of the worst possible scenario right now. Even as they escaped the town and the worst of the demons, moving together towards the homes on the outskirts of the town where his own was likely waiting untouched for them to arrive, he couldn't bring himself to imagine the worst outcomes that could be waiting for him on the other side of his front door. Was his home still standing? Was his grove untouched? Had his grandmother managed to escape to somewhere before the worst of the demons had come? And were his mom and father all right, somewhere...? He needed to believe that they were, that something this awful couldn't touch the little circle of serenity that gave him a center and kept him from sinking into despair or loneliness when he was younger. He wanted to believe in that, but after the bodies that he had seen in town, that streak of blood leading up and into the third level of the Junes Building, and the near-deaths they had suffered at the hands of the demons and that red-haired Fiend especially...he knew that if those had made their way out to his family's estate, there was little hope for that best case scenario.
"They may not be there," he conceded as Minori worried aloud, saying the things that he couldn't bring himself to say, "But they will be somewhere. I am certain of it." He said as much, focusing on the road and knowing that soon they would have the answers to all of their questions. But whether he was as certain as he seemed or simply unwilling to entertain other possibilities...he wouldn't say. He simply tightened the grip on her hand just a little more, staying near to her side...to be sure that whatever happened, at the very least, Minori would be with him...safe. "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy""There and Back Again"...a Soji's tale, by Soji Seta.
He could now officially say he had done just that, gone from the innards of the town into Junes, all the way to the outskirts and investigated the Amagi Inn, and the back into town and the base of the Junes Building in a single day. It wasn't like that was a big accomplishment or anything on any normal day, but with all of the bandits and devils and Trumpeters and Talas out there trying to you know, murder him right now, it was actually a pretty impressive feat when you thought about it. To go all that way, most of it alone, and survive...well, this was the sort of challenge that he had become used to facing on a regular basis. And yet at the same time, it was so far beyond anything he had ever known. His chest was still heavy from the carnage at the Inn, and returning to the dusty, cracked, and ruined remnants of the town that he loved wasn't doing him any favors or making him wish any less hard that it was all just a nightmare. But it was real, and he had already been forced to face up to that fact. Which was why he was in such a rush to head to the far side of town and catch up to the duo he had met earlier so that they could work together and plan their next move as a team. One step at a time, constant vigilance, and a unified front were their best hopes for survival. But at the same time, they needed more of a plan than just 'survival'. In order to win, to overturn this wanton destruction, there was something else they needed to do.
They needed to end this war, and kill the Fiends that had been responsible.
"And you guys are not who I'm looking for, are you?" he sighed as he turned away from the Tower and saw a mess of Loa and Pendragon gathered up in the street to block his path. They were a particularly ugly sort of Devil, and they were strong, and there was a lot of them. But by now, he hadn't been sitting on his hands and he had a formidable team of his own. Calling forth the amorphous Abaddon and the War God Bishamonten to his side, he looked at them almost as if daring them to attack him. He might have welcomed the chance to let off some more steam.

He was right. She couldn't think of nothing different. The Amagai family would be safe somewhere, having found a way to slip away from the demons and the destruction of everything. Just like Dojima san and Nanako had found their way out of the house and had hidden somewhere safe. She could imagine Nanako acting strong, and Dojima san having that stern face he always wore...they would be fine. And Soji... all together, they would find a way to bring the world back. They would find a way to end this nightmare. They have to.
"Genji..." she looked at their linked hands, and then back to his eyes, managing a faint smile despite the despair surrounding them. "Thanks for being here with me. I don't know...what I would have done if you weren't."
The girl brushed his knuckles with her thumb, her eyes lowering...her cheeks reddening lightly. This definitely wasn't the best time for this, but...she couldn't stop blabbering. "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"Even though they were higher level demons, Loa and Pendragon had proven little match for a combination of Abaddon and Bishamonten; Soji brushed away a little of the dirt that had gotten onto his already-stained jacket in the scuffle and looked one more time up at the tower of Junes, deciding that it was time to get a move on. Rather than taking the alleys, however, he decided to just take the fastest route through the Downtown Area's main drag and deal with the threats as they came to him. There was still a little bit of a righteous anger burning in the pit of his stomach, as well as some need to exorcise the sick feeling that the Inn had left settled there inside of him, and the idea that he could cleanse Inaba of even a portion of the demonic infestation that had caused it to be reduced to such a wretched state was a good start in that direction. And now flanked by a pair of extremely formidable demons, the Senior felt ready to make a difference in the battles that were yet to come. He had doubts about his ability to fight the red-haired Chaos Fiend just yet, but given enough time and practice, he had to believe that he would reach that level again. It might not be quite the same as his Persona, but he would get the hang of fighting in tandem with these devils at his current skill. One way or another...he would have to make do.
And with the others fighting alongside him, he'd put an end to this calamity once and for all.
That was his resolve, and he kept it dear to him as he started through the drag again, the Moel Gas station a little distance off. That was where all of this insanity had truly begun for him, more than a year ago now. It would have been convenient to be able to put an end to things right there, right now. But things were never so convenient. He sighed as he closed in on the location and remembered Izanami, remembered the handshake, remembered the battle inside of the TV to end that threat there. History had a way of repeating itself, didn't it? And now that he had peered into the abyss, seen the cacophony of threats to this world, he had been wrapped up in battling them all...in other words, he couldn't look away.
...And as he was becoming increasingly aware, when you looked into the abyss...it looked back into you, as well. He had to be aware of that moving forward, or else...Quote: 54 Tokens
