She took a step forward. The slimes moved away. She took a step back. They moved closer. Oh... kay. Bea could understand the first bit, but the second was a bit more baffling. Striding forward confidently the slimes scattered, going every direction, and in their flight one slapped right into Bea's chest. She jumped, stumbling back, before peeling the chirping thing off her clothes. Okay, maybe she would have to take this little guy home with her.

Even if they weren't leaving trails or making gross squealchy noises when they moved, they still earned disapproving looks from Artemis. Normally she loved critters but she was taking exception to these - until she spotted one that seemed not slimy but fluffy, or at least as fluffy as a slime could possibly be. Curious, she knelt down to get a closer look. A little black Grimm slime rolled up to her and nipped at one of the frayed ends of her skirt but it was too light to pull much and kept sliding back towards her every time it tried. She giggled and reached down carefully.

Al made his way outside with a huff, see? It wasn't that hard to see that there were a lot more slimes out here than in that stupid hallway. Tail twitching in annoyance, he began the hunt!
"Hey there, get over here!" There was one exceptionally high bouncer and the hybrid grinned as he made liftoff. It wasn't as hard to grab when it wasn't bouncing! It squawked a little, but Quill ran their hand over their head. "Calm down... you're okay..."
So many nightmares were making a fuss over the slimes, but Taffy was having a blast. She wanted to catch one for herself though... so she quickly found one floating in the pond behind the school and snatched it up. "Hi there, you're mine."

Al jumped at the chance to catch one of these boogers, especially the one that seemed to be chewing on a rock. That seemed to be a smart one, though he was worried that they might actually be able to digest it. He grabbed it by the tail and it let out a squeak until he picked it up nicely. "There! That'll show Tia!"
"Annabelle, please quit running! You know I'm not that fast." For a little sister, Annabelle wasn't one to listen to Moka, but the naga sighed and stopped, watching Anna run off. A rather large slime bounced close as Moka shook her rattle, "hey little buddy, come here!"
Annabelle wasn't listening to a thing her big sister said, she was too excited to go find herself a new pet. She wasn't too excited about some of them, but one of them in particular caught her eye. Onward!

With ease and a grace that wasn't usually like her, she quickly scooped up the familiar. It looked like a ladybug to her and she loved it. "Hi, nice to meet you! You're coming home with me!" Now she just needed to find Moka...
Chicory's wings fluttered softly as she made her way through campus. She really wasn't sure she wanted to catch a slime... but she didn't want to let her teacher down. She wasn't really athletic, you know?
Atonal glanced around at the damage, or just at the slimes that bounced around in a chorus of squeaks and snorts. He was happy that he had stopped by, especially because the children seemed to like them. They would make a good addition to his act.

Chicory wished that she had the authority of her mother, but it just wasn't coming to her. They just bounced away without a care....
How the children were catching these slimes he'd never know. He was having one hell of a time, they avoided his grasp every single time!

Chicory slowly made her way to the school's garden, sighing softly as she flittered her way through the flowers. A squeak caught her attention as she landed and a slime hopped up onto her tail. The little hybrid held out a hand and it licked her. It kind of reminded her of her daddy...
The hunter turned into the hunted as Atonal let out a squawk of his own. His tail felt... wet... and slimy... he was afraid to turn around, catching sight of a faintly glowing mass. Oh Nine, it was eating his tail! Someone, please, save him before he lost his tail!

 Bismae had seen a blob-like creature go fluttering past her window and without a word to her baffled roommate, Percy, she slithered out of the dorm room as fast as her tail would take her in search of the strange creature.
 There! There is was! It bounced off the grass and sort of rolled, gelatinous-like on the ground for a moment. Bismae hitched her breath. Was it dead?
She hurried over to the strange little green thing and rolled it over so that it could breathe. Looking up and around, it seemed to have fallen, but from where? Looking down again, the little thing's eyes blinked open, and they were vibrant, jewel-like plum, and very much alive.
"Hello," Bismae greeted, leaning down close to it, gently poking it with one finger.
To her surprise the little beast leapt up - and bounded right into her sweatre. Well, that settled it, then.
"I sshall call you Myden."
The slime seemed to smile.

Torx wasn't really interested in catching a slime, but he quite enjoyed watching everyone else scramble around from his treetop perch. Maybe he'd come down for a bit of fun... He hopped down and quickly scooped up the first slime he saw. That was easy!

 Arari was still very new to the Academy, in fact, this was their first official day here. They had a suitcase and were trying to find their room when they realized that things were a bit off. Why were people running around so much?

Arari wanted to ask someone what was going on when they felt a thud against their bag, and tilted their head to one side when a slime oozed from it and went skittering to the ground. Wondering if it had fallen from the ceiling, Arari tilted their head to look upward but saw no immediate signs if that was where it had come from.

Not thinking anything more of it, Arari started to wheel their luggage toward their dorm number. It was getting closer but with the amount of numbers they were sure it was going to take a little while to find.

Ahh, finally. Arari breathed a small breath of relief when they finally found their dorm. They took the key that they had been provided and carefully inserted it. They happily swung the door open, ready to put up their things and call this new place home. However, when the door finally opened they were a bit surprised to see a mountain of slimes quickly run away. One wasn't quite fast enough and as it tried to scramble, Arari was able to grab a hold of it. They blinked at the little guy, wondering if this was what all the commotion had been about. "I think I'll keep you." They finally decided, it looked close enough to a familiar and they hadn't yet had one.

Neovi listened to the Imp ramble on before following his gaze right back to the door, blinking at the ooze coming through beneath. Wait a minute...Was he...? He totally was. He was running from a slime! The fey lifted her hand from her flower to cover her mouth instead, a fair attempt at covering a giggle that probably wasn't terribly polite. Goodness, was he really so frazzled by some cute little oozey slimes?
His speech picked up and she could tell he was about to make a break for it when, instead, he fell at her feet. She managed to resist an urge to clap, but that giggle simply refused to be contained this time. "Good evening to you too!" Leaning down, she offered a green-smeared hand and a very amused smile. "I'm Neovi, by the way. Looks like you could use some help!" Or man, if slimes liked him as much as he seemed to be scared of them, maybe he'd end up helping her in the end, just by attracting them closer!

Decran
The news had spread pretty fast around the academy and it didn’t take long for Decran to see his first slime. All students and teachers had been recruited to help capture the slimes. They were even allowed to keep at least one of the slimes they caught. The new familiars seemed to prove to be rather hard to capture. Decran’s first attempt at catching a slime was with an imp varied one and resulted in Decran falling, head first, into a bush and getting stuck. With the help of a teacher, who happened to be passing by, Decran got himself unstuck. The slime, however, was long gone by the time Decran was back to being able to try and catch it.
