Quinn took a look at Alaska, she seemed to be preocupied going for the blob thing, so with a nod he decided to follow after Shiloh and Ian. He fell in line beside Ian as shy mentioned something strange.
He paused.
"Wait."
"Zombies?" His voice squeaked louder pitched than usual, eyes wide. He didn't like zombies, nope. "Why cant it be bunnies with teeth." He mumbled under his breath, still following.

Poor Felicia was caught in drama she probably had no inkling of, and Maebe couldn't be bothered to try and explain. She was so distracted by glaring Dawson down in the hopes he would stop being so Dawsony that she didn't expect the second shove from Creedence. She automatically put her fists up, preparing to return the favor, but she stopped short of punching Creedence in the back of the head as she walked away. Her fists tightened with annoyance, and she whirled around to face Dawson.
"I'm not attacking her, you <******** idiot. I said I'll take care of her, so you don't have to. Like, if she's fine, she's fine, and there's nothing to worry about. If she needs to be taken out, then I'll do it. I'm trying to do you a favor, so could you do me a favor and listen to me this time? I'll take care of her."
She had promised herself she wouldn't snap at him just because of her feelings for him. She'd promised. She promised a lot of things, and in the end, managed to break almost every one.
Creedence was getting away, but Maebe couldn't stop staring Dawson down, as if expecting him to challenge her. As if she wasn't good enough to even be left alone with Creedence. As if she wasn't ever good enough.
Chel let out a loud groan. They clearly had a penchant for getting possessed by omnipotent voices.
Rather than be surprised or stunned, Chel moved. She ducked in front of Ian and threw up her daggers; a meager defense compared to a spooky sword, but the best she had for him.
"C'mon now, don't be an a*****e," she taunted, hoping to draw the fire away from Ian. She'd rather Jack do some damage to someone that wouldn't care than potentially hurt a friend.
Her eyes were on the sword; they were going to have to wrestle that out of his grasp somehow. She turned back to the other hunter and said, "Wanna help get that toy away from him?"
Al smiled at Noah, a sort of delirious and dazed look that sort of begged the question, why are you asking a sick person such complex things. But he still answered as best he could because it was Noah asking them, "roof sounds like a good idea to me." He wobbled a little unsteadily on his feet before catching himself on the wall. "At least we would make less people sick if it is a hunter flu."

IAN - COURTYARD
"Don't worry," said Ian, with a glance at Quinn. He squeezed Shiloh's fingers again. "You're not gonna die, Quinn, not if we can help i - "
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw it - a flash of silver, then green, then something familiar, and Ian ripped his hand away from Shiloh's and twisted, just in time. The blade of the sword smacked him across the shoulder, and Ian gave a grunt of pain, staggering a little.
"WHAT THE HELL - " he started to say, but then he saw who it was and his jaw dropped.
"Jack," said Ian, in what was clearly an attempt at a placating tone. He held up both hands in front of him. "Hey. Dude. You know I was just messing around with you earlier, right? No need to get your shorts in a twist, everything's cool, we're still friends."
Right?
Chel was given a quick look, but Ian's eyes went back to his friend after a second.
"Uh," he said. "Jack, really - "

Upon her confirmation, the door burst open to reveal Prince Edgar in all of his magnificence, surrounded by a halo of light. The halo was flashing, and it was actually an alarm.
"O, dearest Kiki!" His hands mirrored hers, though he seemed to be feigning that he'd been shot through the heart by an arrow. "These eyes couldst rest happily 'pon thee forever after."
He felt pretty clever for that one.
"Alas! It cannot be, for we must flee this place." He sorely wanted to take her hand, or to carry her in his arms; anything to be assured of her safety. But he didn't make that choice for her, and simply extended his hand towards her. "Come quickly, my love - you will be protected with mine life, for t'would be no life without you."
He barely managed to get some clothes on before they were out the door, and the vines politely informed them that there was nowhere left to run but up. So he ran behind her, and when he caught up to her his hands slid underneath her and she was up in the air in seconds. He carried them both and used the full length of his legs to get some distance between them and the vines, until they burst through the headquarters and headed for the nearest throng of people.
This felt like a mistake, of course, the moment he realized it. His hands gripped violently around her, when they just barely entered the courtyard and found the vines had made their home there as well. He backed up a step, tempted to walk right back inside.
"Wait." He huffed out, his voice shaking as he saw it all unfold. "Wait. No. We should go hole up inside. Shouldn't we? This - I don't like this - I don't want - "
Even through the pacifier, he could hear Peter fussing, and he curled his arms tighter until they were both pressed warm against his body, protected from the elements, and from the danger present around them. "Where should we go. Mimsy, I don't know where, I don't know-"

Ripley ran his hands through his hair, unsure of what to do…and then he saw Jack, swinging a sword at Ian. Now that brought up some questions, though at this point he was pretty sure there would forever be too many. Instead, he made his way over, threading through the crowd after leaving Finn with a small gesture to point out what was going on.
He clasped both hands, bringing up an elbow in a strike aimed at Jack's shoulder, trying to knock the sword from his grip or, at the very least, avoid him using it on anyone in front of him.
"Who the hell gave him a sword?" Ripley asked shortly after his elbow connected, sliding up beside Chel, to put himself between Jack and his brother friend.
This was it! Her fated first encounter with her Prince. Ah~ But it was fairy tale perfect! She delicately extended her own hand, taking his own with just her fingers. For she was a lady, and had to uphold her pure reputation.
He was so charming!!!
"Oh my sweet Prince~." She smiled, a hand over her mouth in lieu of a fan to hide her flushed cheeks. "You've come to my rescue, and I am eternally grateful. Please, help me escape this place!"
She was weaponless, and vulnerable without her daring Prince. Ah, she truly was a princess in a fairy tale come to life!

Lucky looked at Shiloh for a moment. No. Through Shiloh. Like he was a ghost. He turned back to Sam without a word.
She looked and sounded exactly like her. How long had it been? A year? Two? And in all that time he had never truly believed she was dead. She was too clever. Too resourceful. She of all people could have cheated death. And here and there he'd seen the hints of it, unwilling to put it all together.
Everything he had done since she died was starting to unravel.
"Sam, I-" Her arms were around him before he could react. He was shaking. All he could see was chaos beneath the wall, hunters fighting and dying. She was offering him the chance to walk away from this life. This death. And god, did he want to take it. "I don't believe you- how can I believe you after what you did? As Charlotte..."
He made no effort to stop her, though, and simply closed his eyes to the fighting down below. He couldn't even feel guilty about it. This was what he wanted, right? Someone who would always come back for him.
The runic torch he held was still between them, in the middle of the embrace, hidden by their bodies. With the slightest movement, he tilted it up toward her.
And waited.

Finn didn't need to respond to Ripley, all he needed to do was muster up enough strength to give him the most smug self assured I'll do whatever the ******** I want and you won't stop me look he could muster.
And then he went back to feeling sorry for himself while also trying not to laugh at Ripley's pathetic attempts at rock throwing.
Snarky comments took too much energy at the moment to bother with.
When that little mess was dealt with, he watched Ripley wander off somewhere else, and following the mans gaze, saw the problem.
Well s**t.
Wandering along after him, steeling himself against more waves of dizziness and nausea, he pulled Ripley back right after he threw an elbow at Jack, gave him a hard look, and put himself between the green haired giant with the sword that was definitely not his usual, and the man that he'd really rather not see stabbed at the moment.

Wait.. what was Lucky doing? Was he going to kill her?
"Stop!" Otto lurched forward to grab the man's arm. Not again! He didn't want to see Sam die all over again... not before she explained herself.. not until she said who it was she had....
He didn't have his answers yet!

The pressure in this scenario was a bit overwhelming. Edgar sincerely hoped that true love would be enough to save them.
"'tis I who is grateful, to know the happiness of holding thy hand in mine." He gently lifted her hand and bowed his head to give it a kiss, because he would make time for important things like this. "Thy comfort is in mind aside thy safety, my love. Wouldst thee find greater solace in seeking safety in hiding, or in braving our foes?"

Her heart! It was going to burst in girlish glee! He kissed her hand! HER HAND! Stars, sparkles and princess crowns danced over her head in joy.
"I fear I cannot summon my weapon, brave Prince." She said, still smiling despite the danger. "I fear I would be no help. Perhaps if we find ourselves a safe place?" He could always fight for her, she supposed, while she waits behind and files her nails.

Things seemed to slow down, or speed up. It was really hard to tell at the moment. Chel's bright hair and a question, Jack's cool tone, answering a question, Leslie running up to them, a monster, antlered, creeping from the thorns, Cami rushing away from them, and then a sword and Jack was attack. The diminutive Sun was not at her best, not even close. The fever was making her slow, the weakness made it hard to move. "********." Her head was spinning as she brought her hands up to rub at her face.
When she did react, finally falling into motion, she followed Chel, placing herself firmly between Jack and Ian. She didn't seem exactly surprised to see Jack on the offensive, but it was a little odd when he expressed an inability to cease in his current actions.
It wasn't a very effective defense, but it was better than nothing.
