He watched patiently as Hatch approached the rock that'd been rolled his way by the Buneary, eyeing the Pokemon a moment, before giving the two some privacy. While everyone seemed so caught up with that, he focused back on Flua and Zhira.
But seeing as the Buneary chose someone else over Hatch again, there was a small twinge of empathy for the healer. The guy was trying so hard.... and not even being paid any mind. It was a little frustrating, too. Pressing his lips, and frowning at the rejoicing of the trainers that had new partners with them, he just tried to keep Hatch pushing forward.
Another Dunsparce appeared now, along with some Bellsprout. Narrowing his eyes, he glanced to Hatch again from the corners of them. This was the last chance they'd have to catch a Pokemon now.

Gormlaith smiled at Jorge and nodded. "Always nice to talk strategy with another coordinator. Also nice to see what they've thought of previous contest." She said making sure her smile stayed in place, "I'm sure he would be delighted to meet you too! Kobold is such a friendly little guy.... oh but he's not so little anymore." She gave a little laugh as though she always considered him a little baby instead of being a big flying bug.

Tucking the painted rock into his pocket, Hatch decided to keep it as a memento. He might not be having much luck, but it wasn't all bad. He looked back at Mako and the pokemon with a small smile. At least he'd gotten to see Mako again, and Zhira was certainly enjoying the visit.
When they caught up after the battle, he sighing with a bit of guilt in his tone. He'd missed out on another battle, but it wasn't as though he would have been able to participate. He glanced back at Zhira and snorted affectionately. The meowth was no fighter. Still, if this was his last chance...
Sensing that his trainer was torn, Zhira pranced over to rub against Hatch's legs lovingly.
"Okay, I see," Hatch murmured, reaching down to stroke Zhira's ears. So what if there was no real immortality granter? So what if he ended up going home enpty-handed? He'd still had a good time! Straightening up, he smiled hopefully as he grabbed his pokeball and, to Zhira's sudden horror, threw it forward to try to catch one of the bellsprout pokemon.

While Niko was busy waving down Joey to come over to his side, Piko had something else in mind. Not too far away from where they were, was a familiar face that appeared in the grassy fields. Someone that he knew quite well... Wings spread out wide while taking quick big steps in the tall grass as he sped up, the bird jumped toward the sky and flapped his wings. Soon enough, he was already flying and gliding through the air as he found the person he had set his eyes on. "Pi~~" he called out and circled around Mako as he flew. "Pi~" Of course, Niko doesn't have a clue that he had flown off to greet someone for his attention was focused on something else. musicaloner7 sorry i couldn't resist D;

Becka heard the ping of three Pokeballs claiming their prizes within, she opened her eyes to see two trainers already picking up their balls with whatever they had caught inside, she looked around for the third but saw no one else holding a Pokeball.
Raven nudged her leg and she looked down to see him, holding a Pokeball in his mouth proudly "Oh! we caught one" she exclaimed, beaming and looking at the other trainers for a moment before releasing what she'd caught
"OH!" she gasped, "we caught the dunsparce .. oooh it's so squishy, it's rather cute, what do you think Raven?" she asked the Shinx, receiving a deadpan stare in response which had her laughing "Well i'm calling it Squishy" she looked at the Dunsparce "What do you think Dunsparce, do you want to be called Squishy? and come along with us on our travels?"
"Spaaaaaaarcesparce dunsparce" said Squishy. "I think that's a yes Raven" she chuckled, "Let's just put you back in your Pokeball Squishy, you'll be safe there until we get you to a Pokemon Center to heal you up after those Bellsprout beat you up" she said, amused "Squishy, return" ....

 Juno snarled in disgust as her ball returned empty. Even if it weren't the immortality granter they'd been told of, she had pursued this Pokémon a long way. She had put in the work, and the prize was hers by right. But who had snagged the Dunsparce? That same brat who'd been so disrespectful of her and Desdemona. The tall woman stalked over to Becka, closer and closer until she was looming over her. Desdemona floated behind her mistress in solidarity, menacingly undulating her ironwork arms. "How dare you," Juno hissed. "You didn't even battle the Bellsprout to save that creature, and now you think you can claim it? It's mine!" She snatched at the Pokéball containing the Dunsparce.

Before Becka even had time to respond, Raven was between her and the trainer with the Chandelure, hackles raising at the agression in the woman's tone. "Wh..I just threw a Pokebal, like everyone else" she said, backing up to begin with and snatching the pokeball out of the woman's reach. She put the Pokeball containing the Dunsparce into it's proper pocket. "I have as much right to catch it as anyone else" she retaliated, "don't you DARE try and steal my Squishy! she snapped back, Raven, between the woman and his trainer, gave the meanie a static shock of warning, Becka didn't reprimand him, how very dare this woman try and steal her Pokemon, it wasn't HER fault that people had been faster than her to battle the Bellsprout, she'd been here the entire time, she'd been trying to catch Pokemon all day.

The buneary hopped over to see Sunny painting Heidi with the extra paint that was on ground making her a much more colorful pokemon. "Bun Bun." she called out getting the duos attention.
Sunny looked over to the bunny pokemon and was surprised to see it was holding the rock the two of them painted. "Hi there, um do you want to join us." she said with a smile. she had not expected the pokemon to join her she was just having fun painting.
"Zig Zig." Heidi called out to the new team member. She moved over and hugged the bunny pokemon getting color over her also.
giggles, "I think you will be named Ginny"
"Bun" said Ginny trying to get away for Heidi. "BUN BUN!" she called out in a painic not used to this much attention

Cornetified because I'm really out of it and forgot to add a response to hatch.
It was hard observing as Hatch grew more, and more depleted by the continued failures at catching one of the wild Pokemon. Mako had half a mind to join in and catch one himself for the poor guy! But... he stayed back as Hatch prepped to try obtaining one of the three Pokemon that were before them. Surely he'd get one this time...
Watching rather intently at Hatch as he went on in pursuit of one of the Bellsprouts, his breath held tight when the ball was thrown, and wiggled... exhaling a quiet sigh of relief to see it remained still at the end. Finally! He'd succeeded! a ghost of a grin twitched on his lips, and a sage nod of approval was given. "Nice job." he praised the healer.
Mako watched as everyone rejoiced over their newly caught companions, giving a sidelong glance to Flua. Well, no luck this time around. But that was fine. There wasn't any rush or hurry to gain new partners to the team. Stroking the smooth scales on the sleek Milotic, his attention instantly lifted when the little cry sounded for him. Staring up at the circling white figure, he managed a very faint grin. What a familiar looking Poke...
Outstretching one of his arms as a perch, he gave a little click of his tongue to try and coax the flying type to him.

"Oh, of course!" Juno said, mockingly. "You, a mere bystander, have just as much right to catch it as those of us who fought for it, putting our own Pokémon at risk. How silly of me!" She locked eyes with the Shinx, her gaze as fierce as his. "Call off your vicious beast and hand over the Dunsparce, and we'll all walk away in one piece." For the first time since they'd arrived in the grasslands, Juno's hand went to the hilt of her rapier. It rattled dangerously in its sheath. Desdemona shrieked as Raven threatened her mistress. She swooped in alongside, her periwinkle flames beginning to grow higher, the air around her rippling in the heat.

Hatch nearly didn't believe his eyes. Surely that was someone else's pokeball that had caught the pretty bellsprout! He looked over at Mako's voice and lit up even more. He'd done it! Fetching the ball, he gawked at it a moment longer before sighing. "You looked like you were pretty beat up, huh?" he asked softly. "I can give you a bit of healing... You don't need to be afraid." Releasing the bellsprout, he frowned with concern as the exhausted pokemon stretched out on the ground, looking up at him warily. He knelt next to the little thing, and gave her an encouraging smile and he pulled out his first aid kit. "This will hold you until we get to a center for you."
Zhira stalked up alongside Hatch with a rather disgusted look on his pretty little face. What was his trainer doing catching that? Unimpressed with the ragged looking plant, he turned to head back to Mako... only to find another pokemon had that one's attention as well!! His fur ruffled out in a huff, and he sat to clean a paw. How irritating!
