I climbed I slipped I fell but at least I tried

Mirai muffled a small laugh at Texas' suggestion. "I do need a shower..." she agreed "Plus it sounds nice in more ways than one," Mirai added as she smiled up at Texas.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Matt Texas nodded and then reached down, lifting up Mirai in his arms. He began carrying her back towards the castle. It took them several minutes before they reached the bedroom of the castle and Texas set her down in a sitting position on the bed. "I'll get it started," he told her, going into the bathroom. After a few moments Mirai would hear the shower start running. And I just want to show them.

Mirai smiled and leaned her head against Texas as he carried her up to their room. After he sat her down and went to get the shower started, Mirai sat there for a moment or two, trying to think over how to word everything that had happened. She took a breath then before slipping off her footwear and standing up, putting her jacket over on a chair nearby before walking into the bathroom. She would be lying if she said she wasn't a bit nervous about taking a shower with her boyfriend. Sure they had spent the night together before she went to the future but that sort of stuff still made her a bit nervous and made her face heat up. "U-Uh... The story might be a bit long and complicated... possibly..." Mirai said as she stepped into the bathroom. "So save all questions for the end of it," she said, choosing to glance at the sink.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Matt Texas looked back at Mirai as he began disrobing. "Fair enough," he told her. He had his back to her when he finished and he opened the shower door, closing it behind him so the water/heat wouldn't get out. "I'll listen. We have time." He told her. He didn't seem the slightest bit hesitant at all. Though of course, he was Texas so that wasn't that surprising. And I just want to show them.

Mirai looked over at the shower now that Texas was in it. Now that she thought about it. It probably wasn't the best idea to jump in with him and then tell him everything that happened. For all she knew that would condition him into thinking negatively whenever he saw her naked or something. She glanced down at her hands then before speaking "Alright well I am going to tell you now... then I will get in... because.... well here I go..." Mirai paused for a moment before speaking. She ended up telling Texas the story from the beginning when she ended up getting attacked by Noira and Queen and she ended up losing control of herself and created a worm hole that took them and a bunch of others to the future. She spoke of Vincent, Kain, her learning to control her abilities and learning about her power that could stop time. She talked about the events that were happening in that world with Atlas, the Machinists, and what happened to them in that timeline. Finally she reached the end of it "So I ended up reading the spell... and it sent me and I guess everyone else back to the present... so yeah..."

fluffy kaiju I'm assuming you told him about SC too? Some men just want to see the world burn... From the blurry motions on the other side of the glass, it was clear Texas had been washing himself when Mirai had begun her tale but he stopped about half-way through, standing silently. His expression was unreadable on the other side of the glass. "So....you were dead this time...?" He asked. He was thinking quietly, letting the water run over him as quickly as his thoughts. "And that cat....killed me?" He turned to face Mirai through the glass but all that could be seen was his blurry outline. "You learned to control your powers though, right? Which means we can change what happens. And we know what other people are planning to do. I won't let that cat get the drop on me. And Mirai, no matter what happens, I'll always protect you. We'll both survive whatever future happens. I don't know what to do about SC. Since you talked to her and she seems to...protect you for some reason....I'll let you decide how to handle that. But I promise I won't let her "show" me any of her abilities. Things may have been bad then. But now we know better. And the others know better too. Herald and Emma know what happened too and they're both tough. They won't let things go that way either. I know Eric is smart and I'm sure he's already trying to think of something. Noira's not on our side but I'll bet she doesn't want things to turn out that way with Atlas either. There's no way he can get away with it now. But most importantly of all, I won't lose you. Not to Atlas, or SC or the Machinists or anyone else." Even though his expression was unreadable through the glass, the determination in his voice was crystal clear. And I just want to show them.

Mirai listened to Texas before a warm smile appeared on her face. "Right. We will get through this too. History isn't set in stone. We have changed it before and we will this time too," she said. After she spoke, she took off her necklace and then her shirt. She continued to smile as she remembered when she told Texas the events that had happened when everyone went to the future the first time around. He had definitely grown quite a bit since then.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas nodded and went back to washing himself, running shampoo through his hair and rinsing it out. "Yeah. We'll change it as many times as we need to," he told her. The steam from the shower was slowly flowing over the top and into the bathroom itself, creating a slight mist in the air. "Mirai, if there's anything you need to tell me, ever, you can do it. If something bad happens or is going to happen, I won't get mad at you for it. I trust you and you can trust me too. I just...want to make sure you're okay. With everything that happened with the Machinists and what I...put you through. You don't need to go through anything alone. I'm here." And I just want to show them.

Mirai continued to undress and paused as she heard the last thing Texas said. She smiled slightly "I know," she replied. "Same goes for you too though. If anything is wrong I want you to tell me. I am here for you as well," Mirai told him before she went back to undressing. She moved all of her clothes to the side and paused for a moment or two before stepping into the shower as well.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas turned as Mirai entered the shower, letting he close the door. He took several steps forward and looked down at her with a smile. "One thing hasn't changed though...you still look beautiful," he told her. He reached out and cupped her cheeks in his hands. "Mirai....I love you. I'm glad you're home safe," he told her with a smile before leaning down and kissing her. And I just want to show them.

Mirai blushed as Texas complimented her before smiling up at him. "Thank you... I love you too. And I am glad to be home with you," she said. When he kissed her, Mirai kissed him back, her hand going up and taking one of the hands that was on her cheek.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas smiled and gently pulled Mirai against him, letting the touch of her body against his chest null the pain of the scar. He reached over and took the soap in one hand and began to wash her back as he held her. "We're already one step ahead with you being able to control your new form. Or more like several steps. And Shira is stubborn. She won't let that future happen. I'm sure The Reaver will be interested in preventing it once he finds out he dies. And that Lily girl from the alternate universe sounds strong. She'll be working against it too." He told her as he continued. "There's no need to worry. Let's just enjoy our time together now. Then we can think about all that afterwards. We've got a lot of strong people on our side. Us included." And I just want to show them.

Mirai giggled as Texas began washing her back. She smiled up at Texas and nodded "I'll figure out everything with SC too... Everything will turn out better this time around," she said before reaching slightly and grabbing the shampoo.

Mirai smiled and nodded as she took some shampoo and began washing her hair. "I have a clue as to how to make her change her mind about working for that guy... Still I want you to be on guard whenever you see her until I give you the okay not to be," she told him.
