"You are talented for a Shinigami of your status," I acknoledged. The problem however, wasn't the concentration of his Reiatsu as was the first thing I thought when i first performed the Kidou, but rather his belief in what it was for. It would be useful as a combat tool.

"Very well, I want to see how much control you have over your Reiatsu." I held out my hand slightly, palm up, "Hadou #1: Spirit Ball." A small ball appeared in my hand, of pure Reiatsu energy, although I hadn't particulary focused on it, and I was almost struggling to stop myself from concentrating and refining it.

"This is the first Destructive spell, easy to perform, and also a good way to keep track of your own progress on how well you can control your reiatsu and how much you can control at a time." I went a little further and explained, "Firstly unlike most Hadou, this isn't a projectile, you have to force it into your opponent when using it for combat. Now I'll tell you on how to assess yourself." I held out my other hand and made another ball.

"Depending on your skill with Reiatsu, will give you your result. The larger the ball, the more Reiatsu you can control under a certain mass," I let one ball grow to the size of a beachball, "However...size isn't everything." Suddenly the other ball turned so dark it was almost black though now the size of a tennis ball. I slammed the big one into a dummy. The dummy shook violently for a moment and then settled down. I then shoved the small dark ball into the dummy and the dummy snapped in half, "Please, show me yours. There is no incantation as such."

"Ok." This spell he figured would be a little more useful. He closed his eyes. "Hadou #1: Spirit Ball" He made a large white ball about the size of a foam ball. He then concentrated and it turned into a grey ball about the size of a baseball.

I moved a strand of hair to the side of my face as I looked at the ball. The boy had a long way to go, although...he had quite the potential. The colour and density of the ball was indeed very good, however there was still something not quite right...perhaps it was just the structure of his Reiatsu..either way it was nothing to worry about particulary at this stage. More than likely he would solve the problem without even thinking about it.

"Good, that is all I have to teach you at the moment. It isn't my place to teach you anymore than this," I bowed slightly and turned to Hideki. I personally thought that two Hadou kidou were much more than what Hideki had intended me to teach. If I were to teach anything more, then I would need my books with me.

That brought me a thought. How were those two keeping up? I wondered for a moment. They may have both already started cleaning already. What was I to teach them now though? I looked at Hideki, his next decision, would determin that.

He dispersed his reiatsu making the ball disappear. "In that case I would like to practice on my own if I can?"

I gave a slight nod though it didn't seem that Hideki was going to be giving me any attention any time soon. Thus it was time for a little practice of my own for a few moments. I closed my eyes and went straight back to basics with my Reiatsu moving it around my body circulating it, before coming back out of my meditation. I held out my hand slightly and the ball of Reiatsu appeared in my hand. It was almost transparent, but I remedied that and suddenly it was almost as dark as my Reiatsu itself. Black with blue radiating from the outside. I focused trying to circulate more Reiatsu into the small ball.

It was concentrated enough that it was difficult to control it, yet small enough to handle. I still wasn't ready for the next stage just yet. I dismissed the ball and watched the Reiatsu flow back into me without being wasted. Though of course, some had been used up in the spell, it wasn't nearly enough that the rest of it should have been taken up too.

"I shall take my leave then." He walked out of the classroom.

"Alright Now" Hideki said coming out of what seemed like a sudden lapse of memory. "So Now I guess it would be time for me to teach you what I said i would." Hideki moved his way over to the most open area.

With a quick swish of his Zanpakutou it was out. He grinne at its short sword form and held it so the blade was against the forearm that had it in its hand. That arm was in front of Hideki's face. "Ren Yoh Sai" With that quick phrase his zanpakutou began to seem to bubble with reiatsu. Its burst from the zanpakutou in a zagged motion and collided with the wall. It it had been aim properly it would have fully disenigrated the wall, although it only crashed it and broke it into peices. Leaving a whole in it.

He then looked to Kai and raised is eye brows.

I looked up and watched as Hideki performed his technique. Then i lowered my head.

"Ren yoh sai..." I whispered to myself. I small smile twitched at the side of my mouth. I saw his move and the way he carved his Reiatsu down into his Zanpakuto, unleashing it with the fury and determination to cut. A true melee technique. I took the cue as if he had instructed me to perform the technique.

I moved my feet apart slightly and then focused. I knew what I had to do. I took hilt of my Zanpakuto in my right hand, since it was on my right hand side, and then drew straight up and then held Waraku in exactly the same position as Hideki.

"Ren...yoh...SAI!" I said and with my Reiatsu flowing through the blade, and the blade itself responding to my command. Then I stepped forwards focusing on the wall aiming the course of the blast.

I stood for a moment waiting. Nothing...absolutely nothing happened. I twirled Waraku in my fingers, a gift from my years of training before I died, and slide her into her sheath. I bowed.

"Forgive my inability Hideki-sensei," I said quietly before rising, "It seems I cannot perform this technique."

(Reason: Waraku takes the Reiatsu i send through her and stores it to bolster her own power, she isn't a fully formed Zanpakuto just yet thus she is still growing. Also she's a Elemental/Melee type Zanpakuto and projectile abilities don't come naturally. )

Hideki nodded. "Well then would you like to learn something different? Something more melee friendly?"

Hideki grinned and turned around. Thinking of a technique he could remember thatt would have to do with a simple yet deadly melee combat attack.

I looked at Hideki. Waraku hummed silently at my side.

"If you would be so kind," I bowed gently. Zanpakuto techniques were not something I knew that much of at the moment. I hadn't even researched them properly, just flicked through a book or two. I guessed that this would go towards my learning.

"Now These technique goes in three steps. You must do these three steps in tune and to perfection to accuratly preform this technique correctly." Hideki grinned. He had found the best attack for Kai. Or at least that is what he believed.

With a simple twist of his wrist his zanpakutou sent a sonic boom wave of reiatsu out to empty it of all of its power. Now with the reiatsu release from his zanpakutou he made to act quickly on the first step while explaining it.

"Now once you are able to release the reiastu from your zanpakutou, or stabilize it enough so that both of your are on the same turn force the reiatsu into your arms and feet, you should be able to move at a much more rapid speed."

Hideki followed his own instructions. Once the reiatsu was focused on his limbs he made sure that the sword was at his arms tipped length. With what looked like ballet type grace Hideki did a spin with his hands and leap into the air at a crucked angle. In the air he spun around using his arms and legs to quicken the pace. With the reiastu drained from his zanpakutou and the height that he got in the air, with the speed and force of the spinning he was now ready to complete the technique.

To give it a little more flare he yelled loudly and with the sword in a slashing motion finished the attack. He landed easily on the ground still spinning and slowed himself. He looked over at Kai and began to explain the rest of what he did.

"Alright with that part of the technique I used the lightness of our bodies in soul society with the addition of spinning with the reiatsu around my limbs in a rapid spinning motion. With that last slash you could add a percentage of reiatsu onto your Zanpakutou and let it slide out as you spin. But you would have to make sure that it was condensed enough to cut. In the end one is a 1080' melee spin for all sides, and the other is a 1080' extremely wide ranged attack."

(I don't think I got all the info from the technique...but let's see how it goes. I should be able to perform this one)

"Hai," I said quietly, "In other words a balanced Reiatsu between Zanpakuto and yourself, combined with specialized location of Reiatsu in you muscles and limbs should perfect the technique." Now I saw the need to be able to tune your Reiatsu. I drew Waraku, this time in my left hand and with that simple draw, I calmed my Reiatsu, and built it up calmly and focused preparing it, and then altered the structure of my Reiatsu so that my muscles could move with the help of Reiatsu much faster and much further than before.

(You seemed to implicate a spin ON the hands...but i'll presume it's just forcing the spin faster))

I wasn't convinced I'd be able to do this technique first off. I'd seen something like it but nothing quite the same standard. This would be indeed a great attack for waraku.

I started spinning, raising my hand with Waraku up high and then slashing it down to full length, most of this seemed to be clearing space rather than actually trying to damage the enemy. I completed the third spin and jumped. This was just far faster than my body wanted to cope with. Though it wasn't my body I was worried about it was whether my reiatsu would hold. I didn't exactly know what angle I was jumping at, but I now seemed to be horizontaland still spinning. I changed my angle so that I was to spin around in stead of up and down.

Then with on my final spin (all the time spinning clockwise) I took Waraku in both hands on my left side and then slashed it straight down at an imaginary opponent behind me with the intent to kill radiating off it. Though my landing hadn't been as perfect and thus once the technique was finished I stumbled to the side. Now I grasped the technique even though I hadn't done it correctly. I saw how this attack was to work, but I didn't need to jump as high as I did in order to pull the technique off. If aimed right I could decimate a surrounding force and focus on one main target if I wished.

"What should I call this technique?" I asked, although not facing Hideki because I was still wondering on how and where I could improve my technique. This technique was all about timing and perfection letting Reiatsu slide out or rather over the blade was a concept I could use for ranged attacks coming from me rather than from Waraku.

Hideki thought a moment.Hmmm Hideki thought putting his hand to his chin and stroking it.

"Well I was thinking something around the way like the 'Rising Twister' Although I'm not to sure on that name. Maybe you might want to give it a name?"
PostPosted: Mon Sep 11, 2006 1:44 am

'Rising twister...' I thought for a moment. Somehow it didn't seem...appropriate for this technique, especially since the main part of the technique happened towards the end. Three turns clockwise followed by a jump and three more turns clockwise with Reiatsu sliding from the blade followed by a final sky to ground slash.

"Falling star," I suggested, referring to the large shine at the tip of the blade that was formed from Reiatsu sliding from the blade. Thus just before the final strike, more emphasis would be put on the stroke. It just sounded logical to me.

I decided to go for it again however, at a later date.

"I'll take my leave to study this new technique. If you wish for my assistance again, don't hesitate to contact me," I bowed and headed out of the room with Waraku sheathed by my side.
