Dakota hissed as he corded his way through the hunters. With a large amount of them flying up in the air, he had to be careful not to get caught in lines. Setting himself up at one of the empty catapults, he looked around for a hunter to launch and really honestly...
No one to be found.
It was only then he saw a bobbing bouncing curl of red hair and one of his favorite mist that the moon hunter lit up. The hope that had been lost of literally slingshotting someone was reignited.
And thanks to his new target, he would fulfill a life long dream.
"Molly!" He waved the mist huntress over. "Orders! You offensive, me defensive, I launch you. You kill the thing? Okay?" He was trying to yell at her so that she would come closer.
"PLUS YOU HIT LIKE A TRUCK SO LET'S DO THIS." He was totally grinning at her.
A terrible....
terrible grin.

Even in the midst of an enormous battle, Chel had a lazy swagger in her steps and a nonchalant attitude about the entire thing.
"Aw Miss USA savin' a seat for me?" She pretended to fan herself and faint. "Why you're too kind, pretty lady." With a laugh she approached the brunette girl, touching her side lightly.
The idea of being launched into the air was nothing short of exciting for Chel. She lived for the adrenaline, split-second decisions made at out of control parties- this was no different, just a bit more air than the usual jump. "'Course I'd love to. You'll hafta teach me how to get into this fancy gear though. 'Fraid I'm not familiar."

A lot of cranking later, Stormy was now facing in the correct direction. Honest. "Okay. For real this time. Hold on to your panties, sweetheart." No countdown this time. He just launched her. Defensive: 14

"... So they LIKE being flung hundreds of feet in the air at a monster which might eat them?" Quinn replied to mimsy as he eyed Shiloh again, quirking an eyebrow at the goop. Well... the monster did spit them back out at least? He didn't want to think about alternate means of escape. "So we are supposed to keep them safe when they are not being crazy." That too seemed a little bit of a crazy subject. Was Deus a breeding ground for nutcases? Would Quinn eventually not care putting others in danger? "Do you think they'll come back, Mimsy?"

Launching a net at the giant, rampaging monster was Abbi's official introduction to her new life, and it was also something she was not entirely sure on. At least it had seemed that for now, they had stopped the monster from destroying... Whatever it was it had been trying to rip up before. Unfortunately, there was still a lot left to go, it seemed. Able to catch the jerk of Finn's head, Abbi hurried after the taller boy and, careful of the goo, followed as closely to his heels as possible. Because he was taller the girl had to dodge around her adventuring friend every once in a while to see what was going on, but when she caught a glimpse of the contraption it was to watch someone go flying off it. Uhhhh... Waitaminutewait noo... The instructions of how to operate the thing seemed simple enough, in a 'at least its getting explained to you' kind of way. Even easier to understand was the need to pair up with someone not of her division, which was great and all except... "Good luck firing someone off towards the scary monster! It would be really funny, just b-t-w, if you asked them what time it was before... Yanno... Firing." Abbi gave Finn a lopsided grin before she turned around to head toward an empty set of ropes. Once at there, the teen took a few more minutes to stare at its minute details, her brain going into momentary lock down mode as she went over how she was to do this. Just strap them in and hope for the best, right? A pressure on her shoulder snapped her from her thinking and with a tiny shriek, Abbi whirled around to find-- "Ripley! You're-- We can partner-- WAIT! No I do not want to give you a hand flying to your doom!{ Terrible way t'look at it... }"But I will... BUT. If you get hurt I will use your full name to scold you because I know it and I'll be really, really upset ok?!" Best scolding ever. With a very pointed frown she picked up the rope and indicated he should get closer.

So Finn's approach to the other moon hunter's got a bit interrupted by his distraction towards a certain sun hunters voice that rang through the crowd back at him. Despite the situation, he could feel his lips quirking into a smirk, though inwardly he cringed. Blue. Blue. Y a, hahaha, Fini, very amusing. Shrugging it off, he was about to turn and make an attempt at social interaction when s**t began to go down once more. Weapons were discarded and he soon found himself congregating with all of the rest of the hunters around where new instructions were being given, keeping an eye on Abbi to make sure she didn't get lost in the crowds, though even if they did get separated he should have been easy to find again. He stood out like a sore thumb, all covered in glowing blue sludge, though now that he could look around at his fellow hunters, he could see the few others who glowed in the crowd as well, the other courses to the monsters meal. Once they were told what they needed to do, Finn eyed the new equipment dubiously, and watched the demonstration as some couple of hunters were flung through the air towards the creature. "Shiiiiiiit." He hissed between his teeth, and had a quick glance around, just in time to see Ripley approach to get Abbi to be his launcher. He offered the girl what he hoped was an encouraging smile, and walked past her to give both her and Ripley pats on the back, leaving blue hand prints behind on their clothing. Wooooops~ Approaching one of the free launchers, he took a moment to let his steady gaze scan the crowds, searching for a familiar face. He didn't know many from sun or death, or even mist that he wanted to get up close and personal with, so it was with some relief when he spied Fini not too far away. Cupping his hands around his mouth, he shouted in her direction. "Hey, sunshine! Get over here! I want to tie you up!"

"Fastball special." Bix practically hopped to the contraption. He said the words as if they were answer enough. "I guess we can finally test the theory of 'believing me as far as you can throw me'?" He stuck his tongue out teasingly. "I.." There was definitely a moment of 'oh s**t' in his eyes. "..we got this."

Well, now, Molly’s tears had dried up, because she was too horrified at what was happening now. No, no…it wasn’t the large insanity beast… It was Hunters shooting other Hunters through the air on catapults. The freckled hunter was as pale as a sheet as she stared up at the flying Hunters, and briefly considered her chances of helping out with those who were maintaining the equipment. Actually, she was about to skitter off in that direction until a very distinct voice called out to her. Oh no. But Dakota could play Molly well. He had the right stats. The word ‘orders’ and the rank to back it up. Molly whimpered, and went to go retrieve the right items from Mark for the offensive role. Thus she returned, ready, and shaking like a leaf in the wind. That grin was not reassuring.

Gale shook his head briefly. "Ceres is a good person to meet first when you're still new here," he said. "She's my best mate's girlfriend, but she's also strong minded and confident, so if anyone's good at directing people to where they need to go, it's her."
He gave a little nod, gritting his teeth slightly.
"Ready when you are."

Again, Ripley's presence made Abbi shriek. Again, he flinched at the noise as it rang through his ears, and again he jumped as well, letting her go to hold his hands up defensively.
"I'm what?" He parroted curiously, but forgot about it as he tried to sort through what was Abbi's verbal flailing and what actually had content to listen to. Eventually it boiled down to two things: 'I don't want to, but I will' and 'If you get hurt I'm going to give you the full name treatment'. He naturally agreed to the first but the second had him flinching again, giving her an awkward sort of smile.
"Well then, guess I just will have to scratch 'get hurt' off of my plans for today." He joked, lamely, and stepped closer on her insistence, holding out his arms as if it would help her.
....
Finn walked by. Finn walked by. Didn't Finn get eaten? He was looking a little blue...
"Welcome back, Finn!" He called out to his fellow Trainee and Wanderer, glad for the surprisingly soothing pat on the back and not quite realizing that it came with a blue print on the back of his pristine white coat. "Glad to see you're not dead!" It was an honest relief, even if it did feel a little weird.

"Always saving a seat for you gorgeous." She untangled the cords before standing up. "You don't have to do much." She reached up, bring her arms around Chelsea's neck and grinning. "Just stand there and look pretty." She was staring intensely into Chelsea's eyes as her fingers worked the back clasp of the gear.
Then her dropped her hands to the sun huntresses waist, brushing her hands around her waist.
"Usually I wait till after the first date pretty lady but..." She practically embraced the girl as she snapped the buckle around her waist. "But life or death so, Come back to me pinkie." She leaned up a bit and gave Chelsea a very light and teasing kiss on the lips. "Have fun flying."
She checked the gear one last time, looking at the grappling hook and easing Chelsea onto the launcher. Holding her breath, she aimed a bit, and let the launcher go. Sending Chelsea a little far to the right but at least managing to hit the target.

Land wasn't truly sure that he would ever be ready to launch someone into the air as if they were something to be easily discarded, but that knowledge seemed to follow through to make sure that he took just a little bit of extra time; checking the harness over once more, taking careful aim, steadying a trembling hand. He drew back when he realized his hand was shaking, brow furrowed as he sternly chastised himself mentally before taking a deep breath. One, two..."Of we go!" Launch Total: 16As quickly as she could she tried to strap him into the thing, finally fiddling enough to get the ropes right. "Hmmm i guess that means i better have good aim hmm? Though i thought the saying was trusting you as far as i could throw you..." Maybe teasing was a nervous thing. Looking down at him she allowed the worry to show for a second. Just a moment, before hiding it once more. "We will be awesome. Dont let it eat you okay? You know if it does im going to kick your a**." It made no sense in context, but he knew what she meant. "Okay. Launching!" She pressed the button.

Before really should have learned to stop volunteering himself for tribute to help out the Lifers. He really should have, but he had a soft spot for the division, seeing as how it woke him from slumber (and eventually chewed him up and spat him out into the Mist). It explained why he was going around the manned harpoons, arms laden with the daggers, and probably why he made a pit-stop at Robert's.
"Anything else you need a hand with, just lemme know," he offered. Before probably should have been more specific.
