He arrived, one who followed the goddess of longing. He felt strange, and also felt a need, a need to search for something lost.
But that would have to come later, for whatever it was he felt he aught to seek was perhaps not quite yet as important as the task. The goddesses task, to seek out and return that which might give him form.
He wandered for a time, possibly appearing lost to any who would choose to notice him, before coming across a thing, something that caught his attention, that shone with a light of its own and begged to be touched.
He reached for the thing, that which was actually a crystal, a fragment, and plucked it out from where it appeared to simply hover in the air.
I've been waiting for you for so long....
The voice that brushed through his memory, one that was familiar and yet wasn't at all. It brought with it a warmth, and he knew that these crystals were all that he needed to give to the goddess, that they were what might give him shape and form.
He would need to find more...

The shadow giggled as her first attempt was success. She wondered if the other fragments would be captured this easily? Daaiji hoped so! That would make the job so much easier and faster, but she supposed that taking her time wouldn’t be so horrible either. But then she would have more time to do other things. Hmmm. Slender hands reached for another orb and she laughed when she managed to snatch up another one. “Nice!” she chirped. This time she could hear the wind rustling against leaves. Footsteps creaking over floorboards.

He was surprised the girl took his arm and made a strange noise at the back of his throat. "Er . . . Okay!" Her cheer was infectious after all.
And it seemed to work, for this time when he lunged at them, he managed to catch a glowing fragment. This time, thankfully, it did not yell, but it made a sort of purring "Mrrr~" noise that he couldn't make heads or tails of, followed by a soft, "Beeeellsssss~"
Weirdo.
"Guess it worked!" Lance noted with a little smile. "I'll try to smile more then. How about you two? How many do you have?"

Daaiji didn’t know what kind of person she had been, if she had ever been one before this. But what she did know was that she liked to laugh. It was a pleasant sound on the ears and it made her smile until her face hurt, but it wasn’t a bad hurt. It was nice. It made her body feel lighter. She wondered if the others laughed and smiled as often as she did? Daaiji briefly looked around to observe the other shadows, but observing had never been much of a forte of hers. She quickly grew bored of it, instead opting to grab a hold of another orb. This memory was vague as usual, but the sounds weren’t as pleasant. She could hear incessant whispering in her ears. Home…home… Home? She didn’t know where that was, but she didn’t care.

She had no real memory of how she had gotten to this place but the sight was certainly something. Water as far as the eye could see and images of things that almost seemed familiar. They tickled at her mind but she couldn't stay focused on them for long.
Moving a little further Tsumi managed to find others, beings with other blue cores that shown brightly against all the grey. Her feet kept her moving toward them but her attention was soon taken by something else. A small glint of light, not colorful like her core but still sticking out from the darkness that it was nestled in. Tsumi stepped forward to investigate but the small fragment began to move. Acting quickly she reached out as it began to move past her, the fragment nearly perfectly landing in the palm of her hand.
"Did you never have adream aboutsomething..."
The words she heard touched her, filling her with something familiar but as soon as they started they faded away into silence. Opening her hand she saw that the fragment was gone. Strange...what had that been?

Mildly distracted by another flitting light, the girl missed the boy's initial catch. When she failed at her little chase, he had already caught the thing but that did not mean she could not rejoice. A bright cheer left her as she hopped back over to him and clapped her hands. "Now you only need 3 more!" She chirped with a smile before she flapped her hands at him to go try again.
As for herself she counted the ones she had stuffed into the pocket on her hip before she held up a finger. "Just one for me! But I'll wait with you and help.... If you want..." Something felt missing, but it felt smaller with someone to talk to.

Apparently three in a row was the most she could manage, because the next time she tried to swipe a fragment, it danced out of her grasp. “Hey!” she shouted indignantly. Daaiji placed her hands on her hips. “Come back here!” But of course, the orb didn’t obey her words. The shadow grumbled. Rather than searching for her next prey, she opted to take a short break and waved at another nearby figure. “Hey! Are you trying to catch these too?”

Did those weird random words related to her memory, she knew she was searching for something, but she had no idea of what that was.
If the goddess can tell her, she could collect those orbs for her.

She needed to comfort herself, in such an unfamiliar place. Does she have friends or family? She felt lonely, she was longing for companions. But first, she needed to gain a shape, a shape that can make her stand out of other figures.

No matter how many times she reached for a fragment it seemed as though they continued to dance just beyond her grasp. It was frustrating, but she kept at it. The little snips of memories and the feelings attached to them were precious things, and Gin longed for more.

Finally those small, dark fingers snatched a glimmering shard from the air and she held it to her chest, savoring the wash of contentment and belonging that came with it.
Not just one voice this time, but many. Bustling and converging, weaving in an out of what looked like the smoking pillars of some great forge. As the memory left her she would have sworn she tasted the metallic kiss of working metal on her tongue.

Leia was looking at the commotion that had stirred between the two other people that were around. Funny? Yes. Comfortable? No. But it was an interesting way to get someone to capture some of these orb-like things called fragments. Hopefully.
But she continued on, nodding with agreement. "Smiling is a good thing to practice with." And when the next question came up, she had to think for a moment, counting on her fingers. "I've captured 5 fragments already, and turned them in. Although, I don't know what to do since I've already finished that."
