We'll deal with the boulder issue later since the bottom part is our main priority at the moment. However, are the yellow spaces mark for activating the boulders? To be honest, I think any space between 23 - 30 and 36 - 35 (can't say for certain) is mostly likely to activate the boulders. After all, the enemies want us to be trapped for the boulders. >>;
I think at least 23, 26, and 36 are safe because they have mountains in the way of the boulders. But yeah like I said it was a minor thing at the moment, but a detail is still a detail.

Well for those who haven't seen me in the Blast, I have returned, and thus I will be taking control of Seth again in Boardgame 3. Many thanks to Jen for doing that for me while I dealt with my crap. Anyways, things sure escalated quickly huh? Jen forwarded me the thing Isa, and that sounds like a good plan. You and I are probably the best at tanking hits, because anything not magically inclined is going to do VERY little damage to me, if any at all, so that's good. The big problem is the mage, and the fact that Leena is poisoned. Also I noticed that the mage on Space 20 has TOMEFAIRE, so that is a GIGANTIC problem, as if he rolls a 4, he can attack the people on space 14, creating...things. I think you and I should probably attack an enemy on space 3, me a thief for weapon triangle, and you the bandit for the same reason. This is provided the RNG is cooperative, and if not, we need to block off space 14 from the enemies. That is priority number one. I can tank hits if it comes to that, as Pavise+Massive Defense=very little damage if any. Vaida should probably attack the other Thief as well, hopefully getting rid of it, either that or finishing off an enemy me or Isa don't kill. things have gotten really hairy really fast, and we need to adjust quickly. Here's too good rolls, and happy hunting.
Tomefaire is not that big of an issue, as the highest roll that mage can get is a 4 if they use that skill. Shinon's the one that's going to be targeted in that case because of Provoke. That's why Rin should heal Shinon first, so that he can survive a Tomefaire if it does happen. The mage only has a 25% chance of even making it to where he can attack, so you guys should be mostly okay.
You, Mihira, and Isa should stay on Tile 12 to serve as a wall. Your defenses are more than enough to minimize damage. Leena, Shinon, Ziaram, and Rin should camp out on Tile 14, (with Rin providing heals to Shinon first and then to either Ziaram, Leena or Vika) and Vika on 15. Vika does have Maelstrom, so if she does get attacked she can at least return half-damage to indirect attacks. Which Tomefaire is a part of.
There isn't much that can be done to completely negate all damage, so the best option is to minimize as much damage as possible.
I had forgotten about that part of Tomefaire. Whoopsie! Anyways, yeah, Provoke would make Shinon get targeted first huh?
Moving on, I'm more inclined to go with the Spaces 7 8 and 9 plan, as we do indeed have 3 INCREDIBLY tanky units: Myself, Isa, and Mihira. Taking out the physical units shouldn't pose much of an issue, if at all. Thieves are priority one as getting stuff stolen is always annoying, especially since there are some fairly valuable items here with us. As for where I'm going to attack, the most likely answer is attacking someone on space 3, along with Vika and Mihira, provided that the space isn't fully clogged up once my turn comes around. Should the RNG cooperate, I'll canto to whichever space needs to be blocked, be it 7 8 or 9.
Also Ali's mug is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

Only if the enemies are nearby. The only enemies nearby are the thieves (unless the barbarians have high roll for movement). However, with us as wall, Shinon is pretty safe. The melee can't get to Shinon unless having a ranged weapon.
I've taken Space 7 and Mihira will be taking Space 8 since she can't Canto. That leaves Space 9 for you. Zeiss and I already took off the Barbarian in Space 3. And I'm pretty sure if we have good number, we may be able to get rid of the thieves too. 3nodding

I just remembered about Prayer on Leena. Since her HP is 10 right now she has +5 def and +5 res.

Which does her jack s**t because her Def/Res are already pathetic, so that puts her just about up to Vika's level on Defense at the moment with abysmal HP. So let's not forget that Leena can be easily one-shot and should not ever be in the range of any attacking unit.

Well technically it'd be the poison that kills her not the maxed unfocused single mage attack since it does only 8 damage. But regardless yes she does die either way.

Well, on the next turn, one or two people should go to space 15 while Leena makes a retreat to either space 13 or 11 and use vulnerary (unless Rin decides to heal Leena on the next turn.) With someone taking space 15, the mage won't be able to reach Leena since we're blocking the enemy's path. Not to mention, the axe users (if we're unable to kill them off in the next turn) won't be able to get Leena if we continue being a wall army.
I can go up there and use Guard to protect Leena from the mage. However, due to my turn position (being 2nd), it's kinda useless for me to protect anyone but Rin (unless the unit decides to stay put) if someone decides to move somewhere else. =P

(unless Rin decides to heal Leena on the next turn.)
Just a quick reminder that Leena can still trade a Vulnerary to someone who needs it immediately and still have an action phase her turn to use one herself. However, Shinon would have to use their action phase to heal. This turn Shinon is better off moving to space 12 and attacking since they're safe behind the wall and wait for Rin to heal them next turn. Meanwhile, Leena can get into position and start handing off vulneraries before healing herself. I'd recommend, if she has the time, buying a replacement vulnerary once we clear out the bandits in the village before we head out.

Hey, I didn't say you should heal Leena right away. LOL XD I said that if you WANT to heal her. I still had that suggestion about using vulnerary before the sentence you quoted. After all, it's your and Sue's decision about what to do (as long as it's not a reckless move. >>; ) However, it's based on Sue's roll if she can get to Space 12 or not. If she can't, she better use that Vulnerary right away. sweatdrop

Quoting Sue about this message:
Quote:
"I must have read it about ... well, I must have read that IM conversation twice the whole way through and I'm trying to comprehend it. It's not like I want to leave to passive-aggressively stop you guys from doing your game and all. I just feel angry vibes from you guys and I had no idea I was going to trigger an ambush.
And that's not even the worst part. I feel like everybody knew it was coming but me. Was I allowed to ask where the trap spaces were ahead of time?
Anyway, I will take your advice and retreat, obviously, and use vulneraries, and buy extra ones (if I need to), and trade to who needs trading...
What I'm trying to say is I'll do what I have to do, but I'm not even sure if it will matter. I feel awful that this is some of our first time being in the boardgame and I might have messed it up for everybody.
And I told Mel (yesterday, or was it the other day? Sometime this week) that I feel like you guys were happier without me because I started up drama almost right when I returned, just when you guys got over whatever the heck happened with Dylan and Esgy. I'm probably acting just like them.
Sue, let me just say that while some people are upset about what happened from the game, I at least am not mad at you. It's as Gale said in the previous post: It's just a game You may have triggered the ambush, but guess what? NONE of us except Rath know which will trigger the ambush. We may have suspicious feeling what happen if we move forward, but we can't be certain which space triggers what. So calm down, Sue.
As for asking about where the trap space are, you CAN take a guess about which space is which. But as I said before, we can't be certain unless we try. Some may be trap. Some may have event item. Some may be nothing. We can guess, but we're not psychics to see the future.
In addition, you don't need to hit the panic button too quickly. Sure, we may be in a bit of dilemma at the moment, but that doesn't mean we can't overcome. We just need to come up with a plan, discuss with the group, and execute the agreeable suggestions. After all, we're a team and we have to support each other to get through time, be it bad or good. If you have a plan that can help the team, tell us. We like to hear what your idea is and see if it helps the team or not. If you think the plan is terrible, speak up. We like to hear your opinion what the plan is terrible. And if you're unsure what to make a move, you can ask your teammate for help.
I asked Gale what I should do when Vaida wanted to complete her arena round since I didn't want to wait for God-knows-how-long for everyone to finish the arena and do nothing. And while I may be agitated to move forward, I don't mind asking members what to do as well concerning about what the others want to do.
So don't worry. We're not going to jump on you just because you accidentally trigger the ambush. As I said before, we can overcome this. So don't feel awful, no need to get upset, and do what you can do to help everyone in the game. If there's something you're unsure, TALK to us. We're a team and we have to help each other. Remember the motto: Together We Ride.
And no. We will not be happy playing the game without you. If you leave the game (aka: make Leena as an NPC), you will make us feel like you quit all because of an accident. As a wise man once said, "if you fell off a horse, get up and get back on the horse." Don't quit so easily all because of a mistake, be it small or bad. And no, you're not like Esgy and Dylan. You are YOU, the Sue that we love and care. So drop the sad, emo mood, get back on your horse, and do your best. After all, it's just a game and we're not going to hold grudge on you over a game.
I will admit that I got a chuckle out of the fact you guys said "I pulled a Ross." It reminds me of when I first played sacred stones and I was like "HEY, get back here! D<"
I'm sorry for overreacting. That's really all I have to say. And no, I don't have a plan at the moment. I'm just hoping the RNG gives me a 4 so I can GTFO. I think this RNG is at least nicer than the one in FE. <<
I will try to stay out of trouble, but it's looking for me at this moment.
Either way, I will try and make the most strategic move.
I know you guys are figuring it out, discussing moves and such.
Um, I have a question, actually.
Worst case scenario - "I roll a 1 and I'm not able to retreat very far." I just use a Vulnerary and hope for the best?

Yes. Make sure you take it out of the convoy first so that it's in your actual inventory. You can do that in the same turn Use convoy > Use item

Yes, that's the best solution you can do since not only are you in a mage's range, but also being poisoned too. So pray that the mage have low movement roll and attack roll in case it happens. >>;

Derrrrp, it feels like playing real FE, I'm at the mercy of the RNG gods. >>
I suppose I'll just have to watch the topic closely.
