Kettil set her down once she was ready for him to do so. He knew she'd get more satisfaction getting the figurines herself than if he was the one that got them down and thus he gave her a boost. As she began to talk and the slip almost occurred he just gave her a small sad smile and nodded.
Automatically, he simply forgave the near slip.
"They are very cute," he laughed and he reached to pet at the figurine, "I love ya, too." He was now looking at Freya with interest for a moment, "You want 'em?"

Freya turned the little figurines so that each of them were looking at her, and she at them. Her face had mock surprise laced in its expression, and her lips formed a little 'oh'. "I thinks yeh gets teh comes homes with me, little baby hooters! Daddy Hooter says Mommy Hooter can has yeh!" She handed them over and grinned like an idiot, clearly enjoying how much fun it was to act like a fool.
Especially in front of strangers!

Kettil laughed as he took the figurine and turned his attention to the stall keeper who was actually now paying attention to them since this pair seemed to be about to make a purchase.
The stall keeper's son also seemed interested in something. He leaned over the counter and gave Freya a winning smile, "Hey screechie. You busy tonight?"
Obviously the boil was hoping that this coupling wasn't a serious thing.

Freya hopped up and down on her heels as the figurines were taken for purchase, but she stopped when the son of the tender asked her point blank out on a date. She only paused for a second, before her smile lit up as brilliantly as the sun.
"Ja! I am!"
It felt so good to say that.

Unlike Onyx this one was a harmless soul but he was also going to be a little persistent, "Y'sure? Your boil there looks like a bit of a bo--OW!"
It seemed Kettil had a moment to lean over and flick the boil on the forehead while he waited for the tender to wrap up the figurines into a nice little box.
"She said she's busy." Kettil said dryly.

Freya's smile started to disappear the moment the boil was about to insult Kettil. Why did men always have to insult one another like that? Kettil was strong, handsome, sexy, and sweet - any insults that might have come from this flirtatious boil was simply made up insubstantial lies.
And Freya hated liars.
When Kettil flicked the boil on the forehead, Freya jumped, and let out a snicker of laughter. Her hand flew to her mouth to keep it in, but the sound had already snaked out.
"I'm very sure." She answered the boil, not because it was necessary, but because she was intent on handling the situation herself. "Yeh listens teh a ghoul when she says no, next times. Okays, friend?" She gave the boil a polite smile, and turned away to look through the figurines, a quiet signal for him that the conversation was over.

"Mmmf," was the response she got from the boil as he wandered off rubbing his forehead to attend to other things. Kettil went back to watching the stall keep finish up the purchase and finally it was handed to him.
"Don't mind the boil, he's been a bit anxious to get a ghoulfriend lately. Not sure why," The stall keep muttered as the package exchanged hands.
Kettil only shrugged his shoulders, "No harm done. I was just interjecting before he had time to finish his sentence. My ghoul can look after herself but I'll be damned if I let someone make fun of me while I am there to hear it," he laughed.
After that he turned his attention to Freya and offered her the package, "Your Owls, m'lady."

Freya took the package and then curtseyed at the formal greeting. "Why thanks yeh, my good sir. Yeh spoils me so."
She hooked her arm around his, and led him away. Her head bent in, and up, to whisper closer to his ear. "Yeh knows something, Hooter.. I knows yehr sexy. And I knows I'm sexy. But I'm startings teh thinks.." She looked left. Looked right. Then finished her sentence. "We looks irresistable together."

"Why yer welcome." He chuckled and let her lead him away to wherever she wanted to go now.
Her words just made him smirk as he leaned to kiss her cheek, "They want what they can't have. It's common that boils and ghouls go after the ones that are currently attached to someone else already. I guess it's cause they are happy and that makes them more attractive?" Kettil shrugged as he finished his theory.

Freya didn't care for theories or reasoning. She just liked that Kettil was her finest accessory choice yet, and patted his hand. "Whatever. As long as I keeps yeh, I don't minds fending off the boils and ghouls." Her hand curled and she made a claw motion.
"Okays. I needs clothing, Hooter. Stat. What is fashion here in yehr town like? What do all the pretty ghouls wear?"

"I didn't plan on tearin' myself away from ya, much less lettin' someone else take me," he chuckled a bit at the hand motion, he mimicked it quietly.
At her question he paused a bit and directed her toward a new area of the marketplace that held much more clothing, "Guess it depends on the ghoul. Some of 'em like to dress traditional and some like the newer trends."

Freya was all too happy to go in that direction. "Well, ja, I knows what is the newer trends. What is traditional clothings like here where yeh are? Maybe I can finds a few things teh brings back with us teh wears, that will reminds yeh of home." She said this in an odd, particularly flirty way. Really, she just wanted to play dress up doll again, and Native American Barbie was on the menu.

Kettil was blushing rather nicely as she said this. He tilted her toward the more traditional side of things as far as clothing was concerned, "Ehmm..Like...Leathers, and fabrics with certain patterns and earthy colors," he explained quietly. "Some even wear certain bits of jewelry for accessories and put things in their hair. Depending on their rank in life it might mean somethin' rather special. Y'know?"
He quietly let out a hum as he pointed out a dress that had a lot of fringe and some beading on it, "Dresses like these I guess. Stuff that is lose and comfortable to work in. A lot of it has been modernized.."

The old woman smelled it in the air.
Maybe it was the way she was looking at the clothes that the boil pointed out to her. Maybe it was the three inch heels that she was wearing. Maybe it was the fact that Freya exhuded shopping-obsessed, from every pore on her body. Whatever the case may be, the haggard old woman toddled out from behind her little, closed off shop, and started to pull Freya inside.
"That is pretty-WAH? HOOTER HELP I'M BEING KIDNAP-oooooo.."
She was already inside, and the woman, who really wasn't pulling that hard at all, ducked Freya off into a back room before she could snap out of the haze that all of the hand stitched, artful clothing had put her in.
The woman did not follow, but instead started picking out items from the racks and throwing them over the little door she'd hidden Freya behind.
So many squeals.

There was a ghoulfriend by his side.
Then she was gone.
Kettil blinked at the Freya shaped air for all of two seconds before he wandered into the shop Freya had been dragged into, "He-Hey..!?"
Confused Kettil was confused. He was hard pressed to be angry as he watched from where he stood, it wasn't like Freya was being harmed. If anything she sounded as if she was loving every minute of this.
"....Well..uhh..what is the meaning of this?" Most effective phrase ever uttered.
