Unfortunately his taunting did not seem to keep the blue's attention for long. Though Asoth certainly caught the traitors eye's and wings for that matter. However it was still not enough to keep the shadow blue from noticed his beloved rider. Whirling as the blue went between and closed in on Hekate's position Devith dropping into an all out run.
DON'T YOU TOUCH HER! The raging silver roared barreling towards Raith and aiming to slam right into the blue and knock him away from his Hekate. You don't even deserve to look at her you traitor! Lay one paw on her and orders or no I'll RIP your throat out! Devith snarled his eyes the deepest shade of demonic red in anger and yellow with worry. He had been forced to stand by once and watch his rider be hurt and rules or no he did not trust the shadow blue not to injure his beloved.

Narisa and Cepheith [Tag Suunath/Kindra, Plexith, Pipith]
Yes, I do. Cepheith snarled, lips peeled back. And I may not have eggs to be worrying about, but I do have Mine. She gave the smaller Gold a pointed look. Ours need us. As do the dragons here. Moriath will not let us down, though. She said confidently, having complete faith in their Crimson sister.
Waiting a few beats after Suunath turned her back on her, Cepheith finally removed her foot, giving her Gold companion a little space. Though she remained close enough. Oh how she truly did understand Suunath's anger!
Thank you, Cepheith. Narisa murmured.
Suunath is not pleased with me for this. But I believe she will remain. She told her rider, and included Kindra as well.
Narisa's hands trembled to the point she finally crossed her arms and hid her hands under her armpits. "We need a better place for the injured." She added, looking around as her stomach roiled again. "I... don't know how we'll keep rider morale up after this." She said softly, glancing at Kindra.
Cepheith was quiet, considering Plexith's question before she responded with less heat in her tones. Stay with us and be with your rider when he arrives, darling. You've done enough and I know you still worry for him. She rumbled, but she relayed her gratitude through feelings for all the Bronze had done.
That made mine smile and she thanks yours for it. Cepheith told Pipith with a heavy sigh. Return to us, my bronze. Mine could use another friend. And she did not want Pipith out alone any longer with the fight against That dragon still going on. Be careful as you return. She added.
Raith [Action: Attacking Asterteth] Yes. I dare. Raith hissed in that chilly tone to Asoth, crimson eyes slanting in his direction before the Blue really worked his wings to fly faster... and disappeared between. He'd seen the dragon that was much much too close to his rider. Appearing above Asterteth, Raith snarled in fury as he landed heavily, using his momentum to bodily slam into the other dragon. And just as quickly he was taking to the skies again, lest the other dragons ground him for good.
Astarteth screamed in anger as the rogue blue raked his claws against her skin. Twisting up, she barely had time to react before all his body weight slammed into her the ground, bending her wing at an odd angle. Kallista!
The dragon let out a cry in pain and tried to strike with her tail but missing. Get his rider and we can control this son of a wher!

Kallista-Group B-Attempting Capture
Tears streamed down Kallista's eyes as she heard Astar's mental cry of pain. With any luck, her dragon's wing would only be bruised not broken. Others had attacked the rider and were trying to capture him. So far, their attempts had been unsuccessful and the man was running scared.
The girl whose name escaped her but whose dragon was silver was trying to coax the man into coming with them. She slowly moved and opened her arms wide. He seemed scared, much more scared than his dragon seemed. Kallista silently sent soothing thoughts to her love even as she took another step foward, trying to keep him off center. "Hey there, you should come with us. We can clean you up, take care of you. Please believe us...
Kallista frantically wished that she hadn't thrown that branch but it had slowed him and now, hopefully they could get him and bring him back for the golds to take care of... Slowly, slowly she edged closer to him, and tried to grab for his wrist. "Just come with us, it will be okay!"
[Moriath - Attacking Raith, tag golds and wingleaders]
She could still feel her rider wavering; hazy, pained, confused. She should update the other ranking dragons. she sent to the golds and wingleaders, her mental tones tense and terse as she struggled to focus on the situation at hand. She ought to know that. Perhaps more help would arrive, more humans to capture the blue's bondmate.
...The blue who was now much closer to his rider.
Snarling furiously Moriath betweened after him, flashing back into normal space nearby and lashing out at him viciously.
Asoth bugled triumph as his talons raked the Blue but as he carried on diving, trying to gain enough space to turn his bugle turned into a roar of pain as he in turn was slashed by sharp claws and he couldn't get away fast enough to avoid some very deep wounds right along his back and towards his rear leg.
By the time Asoth managed to turn himself around the Blue was Between again, appearing near that little silver's rider. "YOU ARE WORTHLESS" he bellowed as he flew towards Raith, eyes swirling orange/red as he reached out with his head, trying to bite onto the blue's tail, to distract him from the humans that were trying to capture the rider. He watched as Moriath slashed at the blue and he repressed an amused rumble. They'd bring this blue down in no time.

Valik [Action: Evading Capture]
S-She... she was going to be so disappointed! He'd failed her. Still was failing her. Valik whimpered in his distress, stumbling and catching his bandaged feet against rocks. If one bothered to look closely at him, the hunched rider had no shoes. Had not been permitted to have such. And now this... girl was offering things that he... had not been given in a long time. Too long really. And definitely not without Terene's company.
Maybe that's what this girl - Hekate - really meant by her gentle words? To feed him and be kind yet break his other leg at the same time. With an angelic smile upon her face.
"N-N... No!" The cane he'd held tightly to landed wrong and was torn from his grip. Valik made a startled sound, reaching to try and grab it back up-
LEAVE IT.
Valik left it, moving much slower and more like a hatchling fresh out of the egg. It was all he could do to keep from falling face first into the ground. "St... S-Stay away." He begged, fearful tears starting to stream down his face. And then he cried out in panic as yet another joined Hekate. Fardles! What... He didn't think he could handle this. Why had She sent him out alone? Maybe he really wasn't alone. Maybe this was all in his mind. Yes. Yes that was it! He just thought he was alone. But in the trees, there had to be someone waiting! Had to be...
R-Raith...
Idiot. Pull yourself together! The Blue snarled in fury and pain. You know we are alone. Now run.
"Y-You lie!" He called back at the two girls. "A-Always l-lie. Never be o-okay."

Hekate: Attempting to coax Valik to come to her Group B:
"No!" Hekate whirled on the other girl waving her back. "Don't! He's scared and he's hurt. Let me! Please!" She cried out hoping that maybe if Kallista backed off it would help the poor man trust her more.
Slowly Hekate inched closer. Sure her speed could overcome him, but she didn't want to scare the ragged man anymore then he already clearly was. Shards he was even crying. Keeping a steady pace she stayed close holding out her hand to him.
"I'm not lying. I promise we won't hurt you. You don't have to go on alone. I don't know what they did to you, but I swear I'll tear anyone to pieces that does that to you again." Hekate coaxed slowly inching closer her hand still held out to the man.
"Please~ I know we must look scary to you, but just trust me. Would I be trying so hard not to hurt you if I was lying?" She pleaded trying to keep her voice steady.
"Take my hand. Take my hand and I promise I will protect you." Hekate repeat her voice firm eyes bright and commanding. Despite her feeling at seeing a once proud rider so badly abused she had to be strong. How could she convince him to come to her and that she would protect him if she appeared weak.
"I already told you I won't leave you. Take my hand. You don't have to be alone." She continued hoping beyond hope the man cooperated he didn't look like he could take much more of this.
Valik had slowed noticeably, the pain in his leg and aching body getting worse. He was gasping for air, breathing that much more difficult as the tears slid down. Maybe at one point in time... he'd had more dignity in him. But it no longer existed. "Y-Yes you a-are!" He argued in ragged breaths. "S..S-She t-told me what it w-would be like!" The torture he'd have to undergo. How they would shun him. Make him pay for what he'd done.
The crimes he and Raith had committed...
... We did what we had to in order to survive.
But was it worth all this? All... Faranth he couldn't leave Her! Couldn't... He'd save her. Or take her between with them.
Then perhaps you should learn to save who you are first. Raith snarled, snapping and thrashing his tail powerfully at Devith to silence the weyrlings bellows. Then lunged into the air, wings beating frantically, feeling each scratch and bite to his hide burn.
W-What if... if this one speaks... truth, my gem? That would mean Terene was a liar. Valik couldn't wrap his mind around that concept. I... I-I don't know... w-what we should do. He warily regarded Hekate and Kallista, having slowed too much and now just backing away. His body trembled and his hunched posture made it seem like he was avoiding eye contact. Which he was.
Raith!
There was no more words to be exchanged with the other dragons, the Blue giving them the silent treatment. He took their blows, the only sound coming from him now being the pained hisses. Moriath's and Asoth's hits sent the Blue tumbling down, green ichor painting a majority of his hide. Most of it was his own, but there was some from the other dragons as well. Fanning his wings out wide, Raith landed against the ground, turning his heavy descent into a galloping run. With a roar directed towards the humans surrounding His, Raith leapt over them to land behind hisValik.
We go, my Valik. He said low, piercing crimson eyes daring the foolish humans to get near. His wings mantled and protected his rider as the man limped to his side and scrambled painfully onto Raith's back.
Hold tight, mine. With another bellow, Raith lunged into the air, barely making it far enough off the ground for his feet to no longer be touching when the shadow Blue and his rider flashed between.

Hekate and Devith Group B
"No we're trying to help you! Whatever they did to you we can fix it!" Hekate cried out trying to reason with the injured rider and doing her best to keep her voice steady. She'd been so close, but now it seemed she was losing him.
"You don't have to do this!" She argued stepping forward, but before she could get any closer Devith's bellow stopped her. MINE WATCH OUT! Devith roared as Hekate half turned her eyes going wide as she spotted the bleeding shadow blue charging the three of them. Reaching out she grabbed Kallista's arm dragging the other girl to the ground with her. "Get down!" She screamed as she covered her head as the blue leaped over the pair skidding to a stop beside his rider.
"Wait!" Hekate yelled dragging herself back to her feet and charging after the two, but before she could reach them the blue blinked between taking the injured rider with him.
"Son of a tunnelsnake eating wherry!" Hekate hissed and stood there for a moment simply staring at the spot where the shadow blue had been and shook with the force of her anger. Gradually though she unballed her fists her shoulders slumping as Devith came to stand beside her lowering his head to gently nudge his rider.
You are unhurt Mine? I will make the blue pay for endangering you! Devith snarled his tail thrashing with anger even as his eyes whirled a rich red and yellow.
I'm fine Devith. No harm done. What about your side? Hekate asked lifting a hand to gently stroke her dragon's nose leaning into his big shining head.
Just a few bruises. I will heal. Devith replied with an amused snort. As if such a traitor could truly hold a candle to me in combat. He added as the two fell into silence staring at the empty space where the blue and his rider had once been.
You tried your best mine. I think had the blue not been with him he would have stayed with us. The silver rumbled gently in his riders mind as Hekate leaned into him for comfort as she fought down her own feelings. She had been so close.
"He was a traitor. That much is true, but whatever the Rebels did to that poor creature that could barely pass as a man. . .well they deserve to die a thousand deaths for committing such an atrocity." Hekate spoke her voice as cold and sharp as a knifes edge as she finally turned away and back to Kallista.
"You all right? Sorry for pulling you into the dirt. I wasn't sure the blue would miss us." She explained offering the other girl a worried frown and a hand.

Kallista and Astarteth Group B-Tag Hekate/Devith
Kallista yelped at the other girl grabbed her arm and tossed her to the ground, practically yanking her arm out. Yelping, she looked up just in time to see the blue make it to his rider and go between. Jumping up, she raced and stood by Hekate, a girl she had not really gotten to know around the Trine. Frustrated that all their hard work had be for naught, she kicked a stone before turning to the other girl. "Shard it all! We were so close... No one deserves to be that broken. Kallista, rider of Astarteth."
She moved towards her green who was sitting with her wing at an odd angle. Making soothing noises, she gingerly touched her dragon and tried to feel how bad it was... "Astar?" ------ It hurts. It hurts badly. The green moved her wing and gave a snort of pain. Her wing did not fully extend but it did move and fold back in. Dipping her head down and around, she looked at her rider. And you? You are fine? Thank your rider for me please. I am Astarteth.
Moving slowly back towards the clearing near the silver dragon and his rider, she gave her head a dip. A shame there is such hate in his heart.
Hekate and Devith Group B: Tag Kallista and Astarteth
Hekate turned to the other girl one hand still resting gently on Devith as she scratched his eyeridges to calm her irate silver. "Hekate rider of Devith." She replied introducing herself with a nod to the green rider. "You're right though. They did something to that poor man those sick two timing~" Hekate spoke though her words soon degenerating into a snarl of anger and then silence as she felt Devith begin to echo her own anger with a deep set rumble of rage. Reigning in her emotions she shook her head.
"How's your dragon? That blue hit her pretty hard?" Hekate asked glancing between the green and her rider a look of concern on her face.
I am Devith. The silver introduced himself as he turned to face the green. I will pass on your regards to my rider. Do you wish my help? Devith offered taking a few steps towards the green in his concern.
Mine the green Astarteth thanks you for helping her rider. Devith rumbled to his rider and though he was short their bond swelled with pride.
As I told my rider. They did their best. What those two choice to do now is up to them. So long as they do not harm Mine or our home they will not have to meet my claws and fangs. The silver replied his eyes flickering with red even as he felt the calming presence of his Hekate soothing him through their bond.

[Moriath - Tag group, tag golds/wingleaders]
The blue was too swift for her to keep pace with, far too swift. As the smaller dragon plunged away from her towards the ground Moriath bared her fangs in frustration and wheeled about to follow him.
He had landed near his rider, and ran to him.
<Stop him!>
The blue mantled his wings over his rider, and the human made to scramble up onto his back.
Moriath plunged towards them.
<STOP HIM!>
Just as she neared them, extended her talons to catch at the blue, the swift beast sprang into the air and a moment later vanished between. Moriath's claws swiped at thin air and she screamed her rage and frustration to the darkened skies.
<The traitor has escaped!> she cried to the golds and wingleaders, passing them the images of the last moments of the encounter as she landed in the clearing with an earth-shaking thud.
Escaped.
Gone.
She had failed.
If only she had been faster, fast like one of her green sisters she could have kept pace with the blue, caught hold of him and prevented this. Panting and dripping ichor the crimson looked about at those who had been on the ground, blazing red eyes resting especially upon the humans who had failed to hold the traitor rider.
she said tersely to the little gathering. With instructions given, the muscular red dragon turned away and made for one edge of the clearing, head low to the ground to catch scents and search for anything of interest on the ground.
