Hel might not being attacking, but he had enough sense left to him to at least keep an eye on the fight.

The wounded beast just kept going, despite the rain of blows the group had decimated it with. He would have been impressed, if he wasn't so busy being terrified. This line of thought was cut abruptly short as the elephant suddenly shook of the assault, preparing to charge through the little ragtag war party and trample them to pieces.

Hel slunk further back into the underbrush, crouching beside the unconscious cheetah to make himself less of a target. He sighed with relief as the raging beast just barely passed him by.

Mura was able to move out of the way and turn around, latching herself onto the elephant. She wanted slow him down by adding her weight, that way the others could quickly get out of the way. Her eyes lids were clamped together, She didn't want to know where the elephant was heading, or who it was attacking. She just hoped it would stop soon.

Just as she had managed to right herself Margulis saw the creature charging toward them again. It was unnatural, how determined it was to tear through them. Gritting her teeth she dove off into the brush, her heart pounding as the elephant charged past. There were those that had held their grip she could see, they might even have a shot if only they could get the beast off his feet. She could hear the others now, fear it seemed had been replaced with fervor.

Tahir managed to stay out of the way so far. He was a cowardly, spineless little freak, and the appearance of the elephant shook all the last remnants of decent thought from his mind. His long legs carried him to the edges of the battle and he slunk around like a shadow, trying to avoid as much injury and involvement as possible. He had attempted no attacks on the beast when given the opportunity. He’d offered his nose and ears to aid the group… not his life.

Regardless, Tahir had no fighting skills to speak of. Not unless he had a clear physical upper hand.

The elephant’s charge was headed toward his slinking self. Tahir let out a yelp in panic and thrust himself to the side, barely managing to avoid the crazed beast in time. He dropped low to the ground and curled his tail around his flank, breathing hard. But there was no time to wait and panic, he had to keep moving. The wolf leapt to his feet and pivoted, eyes wide and ears alert. He didn’t take his gaze off the elephant, in case it tried another charge.

When the elephant first appeared, Haki stood in shock. As much as he willed his body to move, it simply wouldn't. He was now in danger of actually being squished, and the mere thought of it made the little fox panic. His breathing was heavy and his eyes widened, but as the elephant came charging through the trees, revealing itself to it's hunters- Haki managed to force himself to dash to the side of treeline.

It was an elephant. An elephant! Haki was doomed, he'd be flattened in seconds... Despite shaking and quivering like a little cub, he processed it into his brain that the elephant was going to run over the rest of the hunting party.

He growled, a low, deep growl that Haki hadn't managed to use before. He wouldn't let that happen, even if he was one of the tinist members of the group, he'd at least try and stop the beast from charging. So, like many of the others, he ran after the charging elephant, jumping at his legs of all things. He managed to latch onto the side of the elephant's hind right leg, and dug his teeth into the beasts flesh. That would slow him down a little, wouldn't it?

When the elephant charged out of the trees, the leopardess moved herself away from the tree branch she was currently standing on. In fact, she was a few trees away from the elephant. This was due to the fact that he could charge at her at any moment, and she certainly didn't want that. If she could, she'd leap onto his back, but for now she'd wait until the bull stopped rampaging around aimlessly...

Rimma was astonished at the ferocity of the monster. She had managed to escape any injury herself thus far, but the kind of might this elephant possessed was terrifying. Still, she'd agreed to help, and there was no doubt the thing had to be stopped. Somehow. However, when it turned it's feral, piggy eyes her way and roared, she'd had no compunctions about diving out of the way before it began it's charge. For something that was so huge, it could move surprisingly swiftly, and woe betide anyone who got in the way! Concerned, the swamplands lioness looked back along its path, searching for injured or fallen. Or worse, someone crushed by those horrible, stumpy feet.

She bounded over to Sandor's prone body, fearing the worst, but was relieved to see he still breathed. He might be unpleasant, but Rimma was not the sort of lion to wish harm to those she disliked. She leaned close and asked in a low voice, to spare his masculine ego, "You alright?"
