[Ryan didn't seem to care much about anything at the moment. He either didn't notice or didn't care that he had shot Bitten. He stared into Alexia's face. Ryan's expression was monotonous, but his eyes were bloodthirsty. A dome of light surrounded Alexia and Ryan, one that wasn't very big. Outside of the dome stood Vampyre, Monotone, Kira, Crow, and dozens of Klinks and Klangs.
Lulu was watching Bitten and Naano, commanding Klangs to work on them. Okasan was looking around the facility for her mate. Nonetheless, the rest of Ryan's Pokemon came to guard the Protect, in case anyone from the outside man an attempt to destroy it. Ryan continued to stare at Alexia. "You are in MY facility now. You will pay for what you've done, and you will play my own games. Understand, or shall I gave you an anesthetic first? Don't worry, you'll wake up in my first test." His voice was filled with malice, sadism, and monotony. He seemed undisturbed that his opponent was a better fighter than him.]

[Ryan nodded at a Klang, which was watching him from outside the Protect, and the panels below the two began to descend. As they traveled below the living space of the facility, Alexia could see a faint smile on Ryan's face before darkness enveloped the both of them.
Lulu had her palms over both of the girls. She was repeatedly using Calm Mind and Heal Pulse, slowing down bleeding and encouraging cell regrowth, but she knew stitches and staples were needed. She sighed and sat down and simply watched as Bitten awoke. "You two can exchange words later, someone give them anesthetics." Lulu told a few Klinks.

The little elevator stopped, but darkness still surrounded. Ryan was no longer there, he had simply disappeared as they descended. For a while, nothing happened, and Alexia would find that he was trapped in a glass box. Then the sound of glass shattering filled the air, and so it did, coming down on his head and releasing him from the prison. Lights came from nowhere, and all that was before Alexia was a hallway with five different other hallways branching off of it. To the far left, the metal that paved the ground seemed to be red-hot. To the upper left, there were multiple pressure plates that likely were linked to traps. To the right, there was a very visible gas floating around. To the upper right, there was nothing but darkness. And straight ahead, the ground was covered in blood. All of these hallways lead to darkness.
A voice was heard from the low roof, coming from what seemed to be nowhere, as the lights had. "Choose your death or choose your torture. One is swift, the other is prolonging, both likely end in the same thing."

Lulu had no concept of time lately, and was surprised when the four Klangs filed out of the room, only two remaining to watch Bitten and Naano's condition. They both seemed to be reasonably stabilized, but they were on a sort of forced bed rest. The Klangs complained to Lulu that they would have been fine if they just stayed the hell down, and Lulu was to make sure they did that. She watched both of them as their chests rose and fell solemnly, as if they were simply sleeping.

Alexia had been walking in darkness for hours. Nothing had happened, at all, except, as he walked, a tune and lyrics ran through his mind. It was on a constant loop, growing louder and shriller in tone. The darkness wasn't as comfortable as night tended to be. Rather, it was a constant source of suspense, and the song added to it would have frightened the daylights out of a normal person. But Alexia was not normal.
The tune was now a scream rather than a song, and a purple light shined at the end of the dark hallway.

Dozens of litwicks littered the ground, floating around the center of the room. Five Chandelures surrounded a Shiny Chandelure, who was exceptionally large. Lampents floated around and chanted in the air. The notes that they said their own names came out to be the song that Alexia heard, and the words came from the Chandelures.
The flames that danced around the room would have been mind-crushingly hypnotic for a sane person, but since Alexia wasn't exactly the pinnacle of sanity it didn't affect him as badly. Still, the dancing flames of the center Chandelures were very alluring, and the dancing and chanting of the other Pokemon seemed to be hypnotic. Alexia's mind began to become hazy.

Naano could hear Bitten's voice as she shook her, but no response came. So badly had she wanted to hold the girl and tell her everything was going to be alright. But she couldn't move. All she could feel was the pain coming from her spine and side as she was shaken. It seemed like the girl was safe, as she could here Lulu's voice as well.
There was just no more energy left in Naano to do anything. She attempted to call out Bitten's name but failed no matter how many times she tried. No movements could be made, not even a little wiggle at the tips of her finger. And then Naano passed out once more into the darkness.
~~~~Dream sequence~~~~
Naano awoke in her bedroom with the covers piled on top of her. It was the middle of the night and the wind was howling through her open window. "Grandpa!" she called fearfully. The dark was horrific, and her nightlight had gone out due to the power outage. "G-grandpa!" tears escaped her eyes now as she cried out to him.
As her bedroom door opened, and her grandfather poked his head in, Naano automatically felt better. Just his presence was soothing.
For an old man, Mori Hotaru was incredibly strong. This was, in part, from his trainer days where he focused mainly on fighting types. His most recent career as a part time carpenter also assisted. He lifted up the 17 year old blue haired girl with ease and brought her into the living room.
Mori held onto his granddaughter as he sat himself down on his worn recliner. This process wasn't anything new to the old man, Naano just couldn't take the darkness alone.
"It's okay love. Just look, it's not so bad after all." Naano's child like eyes were now visible as she lifted up her head and looked around. The room had been lit up by candles whose shadows danced along the wall. She smiled in relief, but found that any sleep she had wanted earlier was gone. Morimo saw this and went into a scratched up cabinet, retrieving a board game. He set it up quietly and motioned for Naano to play.
Eagerly, the blue haired girl sat herself in front of the coffee table where the game was set up. A pillow was placed under her as she happily shook the dice. Her grandfather did the same with the results being that Naano had gained the right of going first.
They played like this for quite some time which wasn't a problem to either of them. It had been the first thing Mori had introduced to the youngling when he had taken custody of her. The game was safety.
Parts of Naano's mind were both in the present, and in her dream. Some also insisted on dwelling in the past, and were earnest for the future. "Gramps?" she began "What happened that day?". Naano was, of course, referring to his death. Nothing in these dreams were connected fully, it was more of a mixture of all the was, all the had been, and all that was meant to be.
"Oh Naano, do you really want to know?". At her nodding, he continued "It took me a little longer than usual to finish up a piece. Frankly it set me back quite a while as you should have guessed.". Naano's head bounced up and down once more. "I hadn't payed attention when I was walking, a car hit me. Or, correctly said, I walked in front of a car.". He sighed dramatically as he waved his hand in the air in a comedic manner "That's just what old age does to you I guess.". This led Naano into a fit of giggles which he joined in on. "Well you're here now!" her smile was large. It didn't fell like she had lost him. After all, he was sitting right in front of her. He rolled the dice which clattered on the board and her mind gave in to the darkness once more.

Naano's mind was bustling, but she continued to stay docile on her bed.

~~~~Dream Sequence~~~~
Naano awoke to the sweet scent of peach jam wafting next to her. Turning her head, she saw a plate of toast with the delicious condiment glazed on top. Happily she sat up and yawned, stretching her arms out. She stopped though, from the sudden pain coming from her side. Curiously, she lifted up her shirt to find nothing. She shrugged it off and went to find her grandpa before she ate.
Mori had been gardening, and smiled as he saw Naano walked out the back door and into his work space. "Good morning sweet heart, did you eat yet?". Shaking her head, Naano plopped herself down next to her grandpa as he dug into the soil with a trowel. "Hand me that bulb over there would you?". Doing as he requested, Naano brought the bulb of a flower she did not recognize. He simply stared at her hands incredulously. "Well? Plant it already!". A witty smile broke out on his face as the wrinkles on his face were made more prominent. Giggling, Naano did as she was told. She placed the bulb into the soft rich earth patting it down and smiling warmly. Then, Naano dragged dirt over the bulb as her hands sifted through the moistness. It was cold out, but there seemed to be some sort of heat escaping from the dirt.
Finishing up, her grandfather gave her a light pat on the head. "Well done. Come on now go and eat. I'll be here all day there's nothing to miss. And you need the exercise." Mori burst out laughing at her mock pout and his granddaughter quickly sprinted into their small house.
Eating quickly, Naano got dressed and grabbed her bag. Saying goodbye to her grandfather for the day she set off towards the town. She walked around, watching the people and judging their characters. Children ran around and sung nursery rhymes while their parents stood around talking about things that needed to be fixed in the house, work, politics, and the most important of all; gossip. Their eyes landed on Naano as the whispered in each other's ears. Rolling her eyes, Naano continued on. She couldn't understand what spreading rumors had to offer to anyone. But then again, she wasn't exactly a top notch socialite.
Eventually, she made it to a cute little park where Pokemon were often sighted. As soon as she sat down, a Growlithe trotted up to her. "Oh, well hello there!" Naano said in a giddy manner. In reply, the Pokemon hopped on top of her and licked her face. She began to whine and wag her tail in a concerned manner. Naano looked at her with a confused expression illustrated on her face when a name popped into her head.
'Bitten'.
She held her head in her hands. What? Who was this, Bitten? Why did the name sound so familiar? Why did she feel so guilty, so fearful, and so warm towards it?
It went black once more.

Chapter 5: Descent into Insanity<< Endeavor: Kill >>The room began to shake, disturbed by the Pokemon all suddenly disappearing. Slabs of rock and metal slammed down around Alexia. Three different spots in the wall crumbled. One spot seemed to be normal. The other lead into more darkness, with laughter occasionally coming out of it. The third was bright and incredibly warm, smelling of fresh food baked by one's mother after a hard day of elementary school.
