This time he came up with something huge with flailing tentacles, and Taquin's bloodpusher sunk as he watched it's florid eyes glass over as the lifeblood leaked out of its wound. Yeah, these creatures were everywhere in the sea, but some of them just... They were too magnificent. He wanted at least one victory as the One-man Orange Team, just to prove he could succeed even in these petty games, but the death of these beings was not worth it. He set his weapons down and walked off the dock, leaving the pair of dead sea creatures that he'd caught where they were.
A bad taste rose on his tongue as he walked past the bleeding kills of all his opponents. This was too disgusting. He quickened his pace. "Where do you think you're going?" The drone in charge asked him rather brusquely, blocking off his path. Taquin didn't answer and pushed past him, not really caring if he got in trouble for abandoning his post. Fortunately the drone didn't seem too concerned, and let him be.
------- Anyway, the drone was too busy making sure that greenblood wasn't cheating in some way to bother with some spineless kid who couldn't handle a bit of blood and gore.

Mofein was horribly, horribly late. For reasons only Mofein knew, and maybe even he didn’t know, the young troll had skipped out on the other events. Maybe he didn’t want to get his hands dirty. Maybe he had slept in late. Maybe he secretly hated all of the trolls participating even though he had never even talked to them. It was a mystery.
But at least he was here. That was what counted (hopefully).
There was an easygoing smile on his lips while he listened to the drone. Well, Mofein wasn’t exactly a fisher but he wasn’t a beginner either. It was a rather mundane method, but he grabbed a fishing rod instead of a harpoon. Really? Well, alright then.
Humming a tune to himself, the pigtailed troll threw back his rod and tossed his bait into the water. He sat down, waiting and tapping his foot idly while he waited for that eventual tug on the line.
It came. He pulled.
It was a pretty good catch. The smile on his face never left as he reeled in the large fish.

His first try was pretty good. Maybe Mofein could call it beginner’s luck. His second try?
Mmmm.
He did the same thing as last time—lifting the rod over his head and throwing the line into the water. Mofein heard the tiny blip as it broke the surface and began to bob (not like he could see it from here, but you know). There was more calm humming as he waited patiently for something to take the bait. Something pulled on the rod and he pulled back, but when he finally pulled the thing out it was a slightly smaller fish.
His smile wasn’t quite so complacent this time.

Mofein wondered if fishing was part skill and part luck. Again, he swung his fishing rod until the bait was back into the water. This time he didn’t hum idly, but he did lean back a bit and tap his feet. This time, what he pulled up was some…thing. He wasn’t quite sure but it had claws and antennas and well, at least it looked sea fishy.
Except it wasn’t that much bigger than the previous fish. Sigh.

Something told the young troll he was not cut out to be a fisher. This was okay with Mofein. Mofein had never planned on becoming a fisher. He didn’t enjoy the water that much, not more than the next normal troll anyways. He was much more content with painting and art and other creative sort of activities.
His fourth catch seemed to support this.

A hunting contest?
Well, he was game. He didn't know much about fishing, but he was aware that his meteors probably couldn't do much to the fish other than knock them out. So he glanced over at the provided equipment and -
Yeah, okay, he'd go for the spear thing on a chain. It looked a lot more like a meteor than the stick with string hanging from it, so...using it should be simple, right?

By now, Mofein was resigned to his fate as an average fisher. Yet, he found himself casting the line once more into the water, although he wasn’t expecting anything good to come out of it. There was a small smile on his lips as he cocked his head and waited for the tug.
It came, and boy was it a strong one. Although startled at first, he managed to hold onto it until he pulled out a giant….well it was a pretty big one, okay?Hivestuck Check out the size of these! Name: Mofein Otapei Blood colour: Purple Creature 1 weight: 8 Creature 2 weight: 9

Although Vremea had gone fishing before(fishes were healthy, it wasn't enough to say she was an expert. At least she knew what went in the water, unlike a few other trolls next to her that put the string in the water and hoped for the best. She threw a harpoon in a deep spot, hoping she got something good.

Alifax stared, and swung the chain again, hoping that the spear would hit another fish.
Man, but these seabeasts were dumb. Or perhaps they were on a sopor high.
