"I don't want this," Leon confessed angrily. He didn't believe Ray's gratitude for drugging the food was real. And at the moment, he wasn't feeling too romantically inclined towards Katriel either, despite their years of on-again off-again flirting. "Katriel turned me into some kind of monster and I'm going to find a cure. But in the mean time, there is no way I'm taking orders from a kid like you." Katriel was dreaming of the forests of her old territory. She missed them dreadfully, but never thought of them while she was awake. Then she heard someone calling her name and turned in her dreams. She saw a beautiful red-haired woman waiting on the edges of forest. "You look familiar," Katriel murmured. "Have we met?"

"Ok first of all, I'm not a kid! I'm twenty one years old" Ray said trying his best not to loose his cool like Leon was "Secondly werewolves don't don't put others in cages to beat and rape them at their pleasure nor do we drug our 'friends' in order to use them sexually, we don't kill or rob people just because we feel like it unlike humans who do all of that and still claim to be victims!" He said, he shook his head at the end and thought of leaving the man there to allow him to absorb the new info. If he thought being human was all sunshine and daisies then he hoped he had burst the mans bubble! It was afterall a human who had used him for seventeen years of his life! "You wanted to drug her, what else was she to do? Allow you to use her?" he questioned the man as he looked him straight in the eye. "No we haven't met before" she said walking forward to meet Katriel, she held out her hand and smiled warmly, "but my son does look kind of like me" she continued to say after a brief pause.

"It wasn't going to be like that," Leon denied adamantly. "I just wanted--I was only going to--it was for her--" he sighed. There was no way he could say it without it sounding horrible. As much as he didn't want to, he understood that after trying to drug her, he was lucky to be alive and even luckier to still be under her wing. "I was going to cure her, after I sent you home," he finally confessed. "I know, I know--stupid move, but..." "You're Ray-Jay's mum?" Katriel said, surprised. "Huh...So why am I dreaming of you?"

"Leon she was born as a werewolf and uncurable, unlike us" Ray said, he was begining to understand the man in front of him. He seemed so blindly in love with Katriel but at the same time he wished that Ray himself would leave! "Leon for seventeen years my home was a cage in a store, Katriels is teaching me on how to look after myself! Without her help I'd die and rather quickly" he admitted to the older man (he's assuming that Leon was older than him). As far as he was concerned he didn't have a 'home', he lived in a truck with Katriel and now Leon as well. He kept his eyes on the man infront of him wondering what else he could say to make him understand, "Beside Katriel has accepted me as part of her pack so only she could kick me out again" "Yes I'm Ray-jays mum" Elizabeth said smiling her Aberdeen accent thick and strong, "I'm visiting your dream in order to thank you!" she continued retracting her hand "I wish to thank you for freeing my son from that horrible place and for looking after him! My husband and I didn't know how much longer we could keep others from buying him" She shuddered as she thought of the usual people who veiwed her son and what their intentions had been "I didn't want him going into a place where he wouldn't be happy" she admitted just as Rays father came in to the scene "Beside our boy likes you!" he said his Liverpool accent just as thick and strong as his wives accent.

"I don't know what you want me to say. Yes, I was stupid. And I'm sorry you went through all that. No one--man or beast--should be treated like that," Leon replied. He was overwhelmed. "Katriel and I...well, she believed in me when no one else did. Without her help, I never would have finished school. I always knew she was special...but never how special. Look, I know she wouldn't want us fighting, so lets call a truce?" he held his hand out to shake. "I'll probably get kicked out of this pack as soon as I can fend for myself, anyway." "Wait--so you've been watching...us..." Katriel blushed in her sleep as she remembered the "experimenting" she and Ray had done. She changed the subject quickly. "I'll always be there for him--its the way my kind is. But...I have a question. How can you communicate with me? Are you alive somewhere and just projecting or..."

Ray nodded his head and took Leons hand in his own, for Katriel he was willing to try to get along with the other man. "I'm still a higher rank than you!" he said laughing softly, he wasn't going to order the man around as he didn't want to take Leons free will away from him like the manager had done to him. "I'm only agreeing to this because Katriel speaks so highly of you!" he said letting Leons hand go as he did so, he could believe that Katriel had helped him finish school. Something which he had never even gone to! Plus he doubted that Katriel would get rid of him, the man was too valuble with his medical skills! "Yes but mostly Ray" Elizabeth said smiling softly to Katriel, she didn't miss the blush nor how the younger woman had changed the subject so quickly. Her question had them both looking at each other, neither of them knew if they were alive or were dead. "We're glad that you will look out for him but we don't know if we are dead" Elzabeth spoke again, her husband John looked at the ground thinking to himself "If we were somehow still alive then we'd be in Liverpools main hospital back in Britain" he said carefully he looked up at Katriel frowning, "but we don't know, as far as I'm aware we are dead!" he continued sadly. ((ooc: sorry was eating >_<))

"We'll see about that kid," Leon replied, a small smile coming to the corner of his mouth. "If you haven't noticed, I'm 7-years your senior. You might have the muscles, but you look like you're barely old enough to shave." "If you're dead...I'm sorry, I don't mean to be insensitive but...can all the dead communicate with the living?" she asked. She wanted to know if her old mate or old pack were lurking in the limbo of dream world. "Have you noticed...a big black wolf lurking around my dreams? He'd answer to the name Zeke. We didn't have much of an emotional connection while he was alive, but...he was my mate. That counts for something, right?"

"Hey I have a stubble!" Ray smiled back at him, he was almost glad to see the small smile on the older mans lips. "If you're seven years older than me then that makes you twenty eight!" he said proud that he could count. He was proud of himself and there was nothing that Leon could say to destroy his happy mood! John thought to himself, he could have sworn that he had seen a wolf before he felt a jolt two years back. "I think I did two years ago, sorry duck!" he said sadly to her, now he wondered about the jolt that he had felt that day. Elizabeth looked at her husband in wonder, she hadn't ever seen a wolf before but she knew what it must have been like for Katriel "It counts for as much as you want it to sweetie" she said to Katriel giving her a motherly hug.

"Soon you'll be doing long division," Leon teased. "Now, do you think we could rustle up some grub? I'm starving. Are we always going to be hungry like this?" "Lycans don't mate for love," Katriel laughed, somewhat bitterly. "We were the strongest in our pack. We would have had...feisty cubs. Two years is a long time. Way before I met Ray, so I doubt it was the same. He's probably moved on. We're not ones to linger overmuch."

"Considering I never went to school before then yes it is good!" He said keeping his smile on his face, he knew the man was teasing but he also had to know "I can only make pancakes, sorry and no we won't always be hungry!" he said for some reason he wanted to hug the man infront of him but stopped himself. He didn't know why he wanted to hug the man, maybe it was because he was actively getting to know him now? "We now sweetie" Elizabeth said said softly as she let Katriel go, "we're sorry for your loss sweetie we really are" she continued knowing how the younger woman felt afterall she had seen John being 'killed' before her eyes. "My darling here saw me die" John said near to tears "the last thing I saw was my boy reaching for me!" he continued remembering the sound of Ray crying for him.

"What do you say we make some pancakes for Katriel?" Leon suggested. He was warming up to the young man, despite everything. He had all the endearing qualities of a small child and his courage to overcome the trauma he went through was inspiring. Katriel felt herself starting to wake up. "At least you're together now, right? Ray has grown up to be a wonderful young man. I'm glad I have him in my pack," she called. She felt herself drifting farther and father away from the forest. "I promise I'll take good care of him!"

"Yes, lets!" Ray said happily grabbing hold of the older mans hand in order to drag him inside and to show him where everything was in the truck. He thought to himself as he did, now with an older man in the pack he might be able to enjoy the puppyhood he never had before! Plus he didn't have to worry about another pack hurting Katriel. "Does this mean I can have a puppyhood?" he asked the older man as he mixed the pancake batter "I didn't have one before plus you know more about wolves than I do!" Elizabeth and John watched her wake up from her slumber, they went to get their eyes back on their son. Happy to see him getting along with Leon. However John couldn't help but whisper into the mans ear "Treat him well!" was what he whispered into the vets ear.

"I'm sure you can have whatever you want," Leon replied, not knowing exactly what a "puppyhood" was. He felt strangely compelled to take it easy on the kid. He helped gather the supplies and utensils for making pancakes. The camper was crowded with two people trying to cook. "And most of my wolf-knowlege comes from real wolves, not werewolves. If you need any help on scent marking or hunting tactics, I'm your man. But I have no idea how to actually live in a half-breed pack." Katriel rolled over in bed and opened her eyes to see her two packmates making breakfast together. They were...cute! She smiled at them, remembering her dream of Ray's mom. Maybe things were looking up for her. She already had the makings of a real pack--but the male-to-female ratio was off. It usually was, but she knew both these males were interested in her, and that would eventually lead to infighting. Werewolf threesomes did not have a history of working out--actually, they didn't have much of a history at all.

"I'm sure being a werewolf is just like being a wolf" Ray said to him as he continued to make the breakfast whilst using as little space as possible, he looked at the man in wonder. How could he not link wolves and werewolves together? He continued his part of making the breakfast. "see you know more than I do!" he said laughing to the older man in a friendly tone. He wondered as to whether or not their Alpha was awake or if she was still sleeping, "do you think that Katriel would get a new t.v soon?" he asked the man wishing to keep up to date with the missing kid search.

"Last time I checked, wolves didn't drive tiny truck-bed campers or make pancakes for breakfast," Leon teased. "I have never known Katriel to have a t.v. Why? You think wolves make good couch potatoes too?" "I don't like electronics as a rule," Katriel grumbled from the bed. "They make noises that hurt my head. But if you really want to get a TV, I won't stop you."
