If you try and face me, you will know the true power of the blizzard
~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~

Blade mulled that name over. He actually didn't know the name of his world, but he did know its history and even his ancestry. The mistress had been cruel in letting him know that much. That even with his royal blood he was still nothing more then a slave, a tool build to kill. When he had been planned for so much more, the son of the light. But it was unknown if that world was his, or another like his own. Not that it mattered, he would still forever know who he was and what he had done.

He tilted his head slightly, almost like a canine of some sort. But thing is, if she was looking for this woman she either hailed from that world or she was just some conjurer. Though her showing off her prowess earlier said otherwise.
"If I help you, you have to answer some questions...what element do you represent...and does this world have crystal shards on its surface?"

Oh yes, today was turning out especially odd. From what she could tell, the world she had found herself in was not an elemental one such as where she had originated, but not only did this man understand to an alarming degree what she was describing, but made what must have sounded to him like a wizened inquiry. Two, for that matter - the first of which made the half-blood more than a little uncomfortable.

The mission comes first, Kim.

With a sigh, Kimberly relented and gave a somewhat helpless shrug. "It's not really about representation." She offered. "I was born half and half between light and darkness, and I can barely use either. As for crystals? I.. don't think so, no. At least not enough to call it something to identify by."

Still, what an odd question. For a brief moment, she was aware of her beating heart and gave a wince at its pounding in her chest. She was already a stranger, and she was coming terribly close to the likelihood of being deemed a monster of the inner planes - especially with the tension she had observed before. Uncomfortable indeed..

Blade felt a severe pang of disappointment. He could show her the sword upon his back, but he didn't want to draw that just yet. It was the only piece of his home he had left and drawing it in a place like this would cause...issues. He mentally sighed as he looked at her. If she was a cross between light and dark, then perhaps the dark one she sought was her mother?

His head tilted, and the look of disappointment was gone.
"So...may I guess that the dark one is related to you?"

"Related to..?" Kimberly was confused - and made no effort to conceal her confusion, though there was no uncertainty to it as she shuffled through her mind to piece together where such a question could have come from. While it was true that her mother bore the darker side of her family, Kimberly could not possibly attribute Neissa to have any manner of offspring, and shuddered at the mere notion of it being anything like a possibility. The thought alone was enough to give her nightmares for weeks, and the traumatic curse her mother had left her with at birth was going to take full advantage of that for weeks beyond even that, she was sure.

Certainly not for the first time, the halfblood found herself immediately and immensely grateful that sleep deprivation was not as imminent a problem for her as it was for humanity. Even still, she shook her head as she pieced together the absolute absurdity of having any relations to Neissa in the first place, forcing her mind so harshly to focus on the ludicrousness of the idea rather than the hypothetical implications of the alternative. "Not remotely. I don't even think it's possible for her to have anything like blood relations... y'know, being elemental and all." She gave another shudder at the thought, before again forcing it from her mind's eye. "I don't even want to think about it.." Her cheerful manner had broken at that, replaced by a glimpse of what her years had forged of her; stern on herself, but ultimately terrified of what the outside world held in its every corner.

Even she noticed this change in her act, and quickly straightened again, letting no more sign of her inner frailty expose itself as she devoted her thoughts to her manner and posed enough of a distraction from infinitely worse imagery no doubt to threaten her dreams. "I get the feeling this is personal for you though." She observed, diverting the topic of conversation while simultaneously trying to take the ever-tantalizing lights of inquisition away from herself. Her superiors would not approve of how much she had already exposed, but this was her line of work, and her goal was so very near her grasp that all she had to do was close her hand around it.

He had agreed, after all; perhaps the tables had already been balanced after all?

Blade watched her inner turmoil with a curiosity. He could practically see the thoughts stream across her head and wondered just what it was she was thinking. She seemed more to force herself to say that they weren't related, and Blade thought that might have been untrue. The cross between light and dark was a difficult mix to begin with to him. And at her mention that it was impossible due to the elemental part, Blade bit his lip to silence himself. Maybe her kind was more different than what he had hoped. If they couldn't even procreate then they were leagues away and that saddened him quite a bit. It was a lonliness he had known and gotten used to, but it did still hurt a little bit.

At her last comment Blade sighed lightly and nodded slowly. She had supplied him with more information than what he supposed she had been willing. So he would supply her with a little information to slake that.
"I am an elemental. He looked at her fully now. "An elemental of ice who has lost his way...I figured with your realm, that it might have been mine...I was wrong." The disappointment on his face was back.

Kimberly paused for some time to lend credence to the claim. On the one hand, this man certainly did not appear elementally based, let alone to be one, but on the other, she had never seen - or even heard of, honestly - an elemental manifestation of water.. or ice, as the case may be. Still, a few ideas occurred to her that put her in a relatively good bartering position.

"You know," She offered, recalling her own voluntary exile of the place she once called home. "A person's way of life isn't 'found', it's made. You seem capable enough; why not make your own path in life? I know I have." She shrugged, looking around for a moment. "I'm pretty sure most of these people have too." Either that or society just didn't work the same across the worlds, but a reality where that wasn't the expectation seemed almost irrational to her.

"Besides, Keiris isn't exactly elemental-heavy either; I doubt you'd find yourself in much similar company, sorry to say." She gave a helpless gesture and let out a slow breath.

The mission, Kim.

Right. "Anyway, so you'll help me?" She asked, a glint of hope resonating in her voice as her eyes lit with equal parts hope and - behind everything she was willing to show - fear at the end result.

Blade listened silently as she spoke, his icy eyes shifting slightly as he processed that information. To make his own path hm? At first he didn't quite get it, then shook his head as he did. "I have made my own path already...I am different then what she made me. But...I still want..." He sighed lightly and shook his head. "Nevermind, its not important." He clammed up on the subject, she didn't need to know any of this and the fact he told her was upsetting to him.

As she asked for his help again he nodded.
"I will but in order for me to track her I will either need some article of clothing to go by scent, or an area that is heavy in residue of her power to track that way...do you have either of these?"

Of course there were limitations. Kimberly sighed and nearly bit her lip as her eyes closed tightly in a cross between dejection and a wince. She had already established that Neissa had no clothes to speak of, and she could only make incredibly wild conjectures as far as what troubles she might have caused since her arrival, let alone where. The truth of the matter was, she had been backed into a corner on so much as the simplest of barricades.

As if to worsen the situation even further, the voice of her old caretaker echoed in her mind; Usually, it is when things look their best that the tables flip entirely. He wasn't wrong.

With a resigned sigh, Kimberly shook her head slowly. "I've got nothing." She admitted. "If I had known where she'd been in the past few days, that would be a different story and I'd probably track her down myself, but.." She gave a helpless turn of her hands and sighed again, trying to think of an alternative.

Blade frowned slightly as he saw her look of distress. The fact that she didn't know anything like that made him start to think as well. What could be done to bring out darkness itself? He sighed and rubbed a hand through the back of his head. He had been trained to know a little arcane and he figured he could summon her, but it would be dangerous. "I can...try and summon her...but it will take some time and will be very dangerous especially if it works. I know how angry we can be when forced somewhere we don't want to be." He was loath to do it, after all he didn't like the idea of forced like that either. "But what will you do when she is there....I know you want to bring her back but...what if she doesn't want to go?' He tilted his head and looked at her in curiosity.

Kimberly nearly choked at the idea of trying to summon Neissa herself. The idea sounded absurd, yet she was not particularly inclined in the magical arts - at least, not beyond what her mixed blood granted her. In truth, she could think of no reason why it wouldn't be possible, however risky it may be.

At the man's question however, she found herself again at something of a loss. The odds were that Neissa wouldn't be inclined to leave - for all she was told, she very well might be even more persistent in staying if she knew Keiris was bound for imminent demise without her. Though the thought frightened her more than she cared to admit, she couldn't bring herself to show it either, instead keeping her pensive posture all the while. She was the top negotiator and one of the leading investigators in Blackthorne; this sort of obstacle should have been beneath her - and yet, by nature of the fact that it was Neissa Kelrie of all people posing such obstacles, she realized she was in a terrible position to barter from. And yet, solutions to only hypothetical problems never presented themselves until the problems themselves were there, so planning ahead would do nothing for her. "Something will turn up." She said assuringly, giving a nod. "And even if it doesn't, handling things like that is what I do. It'll work out, don't worry."

Though there was all sense of genuine integrity with her words, a faint echo of the word 'bravado' bounced through her thoughts. She held confidence that she could make things work, there was no questioning that. It was just a matter of whether that confidence was veritable or not.

Isolde looked over to where Luna had pointed out a dilapidated building. She was sure that even then, if there had been some major rebuilding, that there were still some rough patches that needed to be cleared up. She thought for a moment, considering their options. While they both had some money, at some point that would run out. And to be fair, that building looked abandoned as well. If it wasn't being used, then she was sure that with a little bit of elbow grease and some pure wit, they could fix that thing to look as good as new, and keep the rent as free as possible. Yes, that would be perfect "I think, dear friend, that's a most perfect place of residence." she told her. They could also probably at least get some food to go on the way so then it didn't seem too suspicious.

She thought for a moment about what Luna had said. "I'll be honest with you, he was my type in terms of personality, yes. But I don't really know how long that could last, if at all. He seemed much more disinterested. I only planted a seed of suggestion. And even then, a seed only has a chance of growing, given the right conditions. However friend, let's talk more once we're in our new residence." she told her lovely pixie friend.

Isolde contended the situation at hand. Yes, it would be the perfect place after all.

His feet began to walk towards the town square. It was not long since Kaiser had arrived into the city. He kept to himself mostly all of the time, especially coming to somewhere new, so he had his hood over his face, showing at least a quarter of his face, namely his expressionless mouth.
He didn't care much to being in the spotlight like normal people. Kaiser was a loner, that only wanted one thing: Protect people from harm. The wind brushed his hood a little, revealing a bit of short brown hair. His crimson red like eyes, surveyed the area, watching the people walk, run, trot on their merry ways to where they needed to go. He only parted his lips slightly, letting a sigh pass through.

Right now...his goals is to find a place to stay for a while, and find to see if people are willing to pay to do certain jobs.

'The fountain...I believe there is a hotel by there...' he thought. Kaiser pushed his objectives forward, and moved his feelings to the back of his head, trying to stay on his current objectives as he now headed towards this fountain that seem to catch attention to people.

What better way to relax than taking a nice walk through the town. The day couldn't be anymore perfect either. The sun was up high in the sky giving off nice rays of heat upon everyone's skin accompanied by a few milk white clouds and the wind had a cool touch to it. Walking through town with a big ol' smile plastered on her face Lacie continued her stroll stopping here and there to speak to some friends of hers or greet some of the citizens. Along her stroll her green like blue eyes caught sight of something well someone interesting. There really wasn't much to see since he wore a long cloak. All that was able to be seen was the lower half of his face, which wore no expression. After taking another time to examine him she went back to walking. The Zaibatsu always seem to have very interesting characters within its walls uh?

In truth Lacie was hoping to spend her free time with Kouen, but when she tried to locate him, he was no where to be found. It was odd seeing he hade just returned, but whatever he was doing Lacie was sure of it was for a good cause all she could do was wish him luck. To make sure he would receive that luck she made her way to the fountain and began to rummaged through her pockets in search of a rustic colored coin. "Ah ha!" Quickly pulling out the coin she clasped it in between her two hands wishing for him to have luck on his mission before sealing her wish she brought up the coin to her lips and gave it a light kiss. Giving it a good toss into the fountains water she let out a huff of victory. Lacie was very confident that her wish would indeed come true, because she always did this each time her twin brother was on a mission and he always came back very victorious and without a scratch.

Kaiser wasn't getting nowhere near his current objective. He sighed once again, but he still remained positive that he will find a hotel sooner or later. He turned his head around a bit, catching a glance of blonde hair being swayed back as he saw a girl walking towards the fountain. He had watch her, tossing a coin in the fountain. 'It couldn't hurt to ask I suppose...' he thought, as he stepped over to the girl.

"Excuse me, miss. I'm looking for a hotel to stay in. By any chance do you have an recommendations for me." he asked, lowering his hood, revealing his face. He looked at her with a calm and expressionless face, and blinked his crimson red-like eyes a bit.

Hearing a deep voice come from the side of her Lacie turned to face the source. To her surprise it was the man she saw not to long ago. Before speaking she gave him a warm smile, "Corse! There's a nice one a block or two down that way." While she gave those directions her gaze as well as using her hand she point over to a street over to the left of them a few feet away. "You wont even feel like your at a hotel. You just passing through?" Letting out laugh she brought her gaze back over to the man before her. Now that his cloak was off and having a nice view of his face. He had a good looking face especially his blood colored eyes. After taking a moment to examine his face she lightly smacked herself on the for head. A punishment for being unmannered, "Oh gezz I cant believe I forgot , I'm Lacie by the way. " She stated extending her hand out.
